"And now for my next trick, I shall levitate the water into a poodle."

All the kids had gathered around the man as he performed his new stunt. You could hear 'oooh's' and 'ahhh's' coming from their lips as the man waved his hand around a glass of water nearby. Their little minds were beyond fascinated with how this magician could perform such dazzling tricks. Some tried desperately to scoot up and crawl to the front of the group to get a better view of this magnificent show. The parents were also intrigued as most of them were sitting in their chairs not far from watching their kids being amazed at his actions. They too had never seen a magician like this one before and were stunned as the man actually manipulated the water into his bidding. What kind of magician can do that?

The man was actually dressed like an ordinary man. He had on a pair of black sneakers with a pair of black shorts with multiple pockets on it. He also wore a plain black shirt with a yellow smiley face. The smiley face had a closed eye smile and was making a peace sign with its yellow hand. The man had strange white hair with a few grey streaks visible through it. What were most notable were his eyes. They were an unnatural deep yellow. He didn't look like the average trickster at all. He looked… normal.

The man was enjoying himself for the most part. He was happy making the kids experience shock and awe at his stunts. He loved kids really. They were the only ones who understood his personality and actually had fun with him. They didn't understand the cruel hardships of the world as they were blissfully naive of the misdeeds happening around the planet so they were more prone to being happy. They had nothing to worry about. No bills, no work, no stress, and no problems. They were so innocent and glad to just enjoy the good things in this world. They were just what he was looking for in a person since his brothers never understood how he could act so carefree. Why didn't they just understand that things could be simpler if they just allowed them to be? His brothers always had something mysterious or weird to do, they never joined him in his time to just sit back, relax, and have fun. Their idea of fun was much more… brutal than his and he never fully understood it. Sure he liked it too, but he preferred a more… normal approach.

This was just one way to live life the way he wanted to. He had to admit, the mortals had a way of finding new ways to make life more interesting. A couple of centuries ago was so boring, with the multiple wars going on and the pointless fighting had left the man dull for a while. However, the world was in a short time of peace for now and had advanced well into technology, inventing new sorts of entertainment like movies, television shows, high speed automobiles, plane riding, skydiving, bungee jumping, wind surfing, and many more. He knew it though. He could do half of those things with his powers, but to him what was the fun in that. To this man, he had the power to do almost anything, but that was boring. After spending so much time, what was the fun, where was the challenge if he didn't just shut off his powers for once and just tried to be normal, to enjoy life, to have fun. His brothers didn't get it. In fact, on some occasions they mocked him if only playfully. They were too caught up in what they were doing, they never stopped to spend time with him. Oh well. When you had all that power and so much time, it got just plain dull for him and if they didn't get that then it didn't matter.

That was why currently, he was attending the party as a fake magician. He had placed an ad on the internet, another one of man's inventions and a useful one no doubt, and had received a confirmation for his abilities. The job was that he had to attend a child's birthday party and, to mildly put it, 'wow' them. As he set up outside the lawn, he only thought of one thing. 'They were in for a time of their lives'. He had started off with the old bunny out of a hat trick, followed by a little display of making a plant grow faster from a seed to full grown vegetation in less than five seconds. The kids were amazed. He then proceeded to levitate a couple of tables near the area and that's when everyone had stopped doing what they were doing and focused on the man. He was reveling in the smiles he was making with his own water techniques and couldn't help, but make a childish grin of his own. Out of the four of them, he was the one who acted the most like a child, but he couldn't help it. He loved being a kid and if he was the one who needed to show his family that then he would.

"Ahhh. It's just special effects."

The man stopped his trick as his super hearing had picked up on someone's whispering. He stopped his levitating and turned his head towards the crowd to look upon the audience, observing the one who spoke so little about his powers. There he was. He wasn't anything special. Just an ordinary man in a white wife-beater, but he could sense that his aura reeked. If there was one thing he did not take lightly, it was someone underestimating him. How dare this human try to prove his gifts were false! He did not take kindly to this and could feel his 'other side' come out, but refrained. He didn't need to get so worked up over this puny human.

He was just about to continue his 'magic' when he heard one of the children stand up and point childishly at his gravity defying water. "What's that," he shouted, alerting the other children. He averted his attention to his own hands and was surprised to find that his own liquid had shifted… without the aid of his self. The water had sloshed around making, bulbous noises and dropping a few droplets before finally facing the man. All the other kids that were surrounding him were confused. Some weren't old enough to understand the meaning and some weren't old enough to even read, but he knew.

He knew just fine.

IT'S TIME

~G

With that, the man smiled. With his eyes closed, he grew a smile that could stretch on for miles if it weren't attached to his face. This was it! It was the only thing that would make sense for it to change his abilities and he was thankful for it. He started to chuckle a bit as he dropped his arms to his sides, the liquid dropping with it.

He turned to the crowd as he bowed ceremoniously. "I'm really sorry guys, but I guess my time here is cut short. Oh well. Better luck next time folks." He stood up and stared at the adult who had called out him out. The other man had just raised an eyebrow as he just stared at him. Then he took a running start off to him. The magician had a full on sprint towards the adult and seemed to be on a collision course for him. He was going to get up from his seat to get away from this… freak, but he was caught by surprise as the magician burst and imploded into water. He looked as if he just disappeared and the liquid had taken his place, but he didn't have time to ponder it as he got a full on blast of the element. The water sprayed into his face and entered his mouth, nose, and eyes, blinding him and making it hard to breathe as he didn't get a chance to recover. He was swept away in the tremendous amount as it hit him like a tsunami, pushing him all the way back to the fence and it didn't even stop there. The amount of force it had had broken the wooden barrier and sent him sprawling in the front lawn of the neighbors house. He didn't even get a chance to get up as he just laid there before passing out, lying on the drenched grass.

He didn't even see the business card that held the name Famine next to a yellow smiley face.

Famine.

What a weird name.

Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, it was calm and clear. The sun was shining, the water calm as it held massive amounts of life in its depths. It was the epitome of peace until the water started bubbling. It started out as one, then grew into a couple, then a few until the whole area convulsed into a torrent of water bubbles. Out from the bubbles came the man, seemingly dry as the water around him just fell off of him, as if he repelled it somehow. Out from under him rose aKTM DIRT BIKE 150 CC. It looked pitch black as it revved its tires on the water, spraying some on its master.

The man had a genuine smile on his face as he patted his noble steed. "Awww. Don't worry buddy. It's okay." The bike just revved in response. "We'll see the others in no time. Just you wait."

As the man started up his bike and drove across the Pacific, he had one thought on his mind.

"Wait for me brothers."
