Ehem.

Well. This is awkward. I don't know if there's still anyone who would read this but here it goes. If you came here hurriedly from say, an email notification that lil ol' ayoungwriter has updated The New Generation of Troublemakers in Hogwarts (thatisamouthful), I'm sorry to disappoint but this isn't a story update. I'm sorry that I promised to continue this fic and didn't do just that. I swear I had a whole flow to this when I decided to come back to it but life got in the way and it got dumped to make way for other things. So if you care about my reasons on why I can't simply update or end the story in stream, here are the reasons (but if you'd rather not, you can skip to the bottom of this message for a special thank you message to you):

1. I wrote this fic when I was just turned 12. I'm 17 now, turning 18. Back then, I was writing just for the fun of it, without any plans on where the story was going. What's important was that I could make my favorite characters interact with each other. As much as I wanted to continue writing this story 2 years ago, I couldn't because that meant I had to reread all the previous chapters to get back in track. That meant reading my 12-year-old-self's work. I rewrote the first chapter and gave up, figuring that it wasn't worth the effort.

2. Life was too much. Let's just say that there were a lot of personal, family, mental health, financial, and lawsuit issues throughout the years that I disappeared off of the face of fanfiction dot net. I couldn't redirect my attention to writing because a lot of things were happening all at once.

3. I kind of grew out of writing about Harry Potter or at least, writing in its universe. I still love it but not to the extent of to write about it.

4. 2016 me didn't know how hard it is to be an art student! My attention was poured into school and recently, I just took a college entrance exam to my dream school I'll get the results in March and imjustdyingaaa

5. I love the ROTBTD fandom but I feel like I grew out of it. A collective of us has grown out of it. I still read fanfics every now and then (I recently just read Tensions of the Past by SirDrakos and All Our Decisions by KeeperofKitsunes, absolute Mericcup gems) but the characters just feel like old friends who taught me everything I needed to know to go through a boss level. I'll still find myself writing and posting here about them but I think it's best to see them off of this adventure. And I doubt any of you remember what even happened over the past 31 chapters so let's just leave my inconsistent grammar and tenses alone and not reread them.

If you're still reading, thanks. Thank you for supporting me throughout the past years. Thank you for supporting my 12 year old self! If it wasn't for your reviews, favorites, and follows, I don't think I would have discovered a love for writing fiction! It hella excited younger me to know that more than a hundred lovely people read and enjoyed my stories! It made me happy that you guys were happy reading the things that made me happy. Thank you for the little interactions we had throughout the series. Thank you for those young reactions when you realized that I was an actual 12 year old HAHAHAHA those always made my day (and thank god none of you were pedos lmao). Thank you for all the criticism, comments, and suggestions. It seriously made me better and stronger. All of you inspired 12 year old me to continue. All of you inspire me to move forward. Thanks for that. I love you all. You deserve more than a digital cookie but have a digital cookie.

P.S.

1. The third task was haunted by Pitch and there was supposed to be a reel of nightmares or something in there.

2. Rapunzel was going to get manipulated by Gothel (because Pitch and Gothel needed her power) and betray her friends but during a battle, friendship perseveres and she cuts her hair in rebellion and betrayal to Gothel and Pitch.

3. Hiccup makes a "go on without me" sacrifice for Jack and loses a leg. Jack sacrifices his staff for their lives but ends up powering up enough to get Hiccup and him to safety. Merida hugs the boys.

4. I don't know anymore.
