Hope you enjoy thanks for sticking around.

North woke in his office to the sound of muffled shouting down the hall. He grumbled sleepily as he listened to the young guardian shout about his door. Pushing himself from his apparently comfortable position half on his desk half in his chair North stood letting out a yawn. He was about to shout something back to Jack about not fixing the door when an eerie silence filled the shop. He paused and listened, he knew it was early and that no one should be awake right now, but this silence was not the silence that usually filled the workshop.

In that split second a fear beyond any other filled North and he tore out of his office and to the small closet Jack had forced himself into seven years ago. He reached the closet and flung the door aside practically throwing it off it's handles. The closet was dark and Jack didn't appear to be inside, the small amount of light that was coming from the rest of the shop proved this fact. North almost felt like calling out for Jack when his eyes caught something lying on the floor. Kneeling North went to pick it up, his hands tightened around something rough and small.

Bringing the object closer to the light his heart almost stopped, North let out a small cry and dropped the object. It was Jack's staff, he never left anywhere without it and now North was regretting not coming sooner to Jack's cries. He had not heard what they were but now he was really hoping that where ever Jack was he was safe and alive.

Nerves were firing in every direction through Jack and not just because he was nervous, in this moment he was excited. He was happy. He was feeling something he hadn't felt in eight years and it was incredible. Plus he was pretty sure he was about to feel something new. However a new string of thoughts occurred to him as Pitch moved away from Jack's face and let his hands slide under Jack's hoodie.

A sudden alarm went off in Jack's head. If Pitch took off this jacket he was going to find something that Jack had tried so hard to keep hidden. But what was he supposed to do? His hoodie was almost halfway off. So he decided to improvise. Quickly he grabbed Pitch's hands and pulled them back down. Pitch looked at him with slight disappointment and denial. Jack just smiled and shifted his and Pitch's body weight. The pair flipped with ease and now Jack was on top of Pitch straddling him just above the waist.

"Well this is unexpected," Pitch smirked an interesting edge in his voice. Jack let Pitch's hands loose and leaned forward kissing Pitch along his neck. Each kiss left an icy breath on Pitch and he closed his eyes in pleasure. The cold it felt wonderful and Pitch hadn't realized how much he missed it. And even though Pitch was really enjoying this, he was desperately wishing Jack would get on with it. So he helped again, he reached his arms to the base of Jack's hoodie and started to pull the jacket up exposing the boy's snow white skin. And yet again Jack had a strange reaction, he sat up and tried to smile as he pushed away Pitch's hands. Now the elder man was becoming irritated.

Pitch grabbed Jack's hands and sat, "What?" Then he noticed the slight fear in Jack's eyes and softened, "Are you re—nervous?"

Forcefully Jack shook his head. But he didn't know what to say. He was honestly really terrified of what Pitch would say if he showed him what he was hiding. Though if Pitch really did like him maybe he wouldn't be as judgmental or as harsh as he was making him out to be.

"Pitch…" Jack whispered softly avoiding the yellow eyes so closely watching him.

"Yes? Is there something wrong?" Pitch asked taking one of his hands and placing it under Jack's chin.

"I uh," He tried to laugh but couldn't instead he felt tears burning in his eyes, "Pitch… there, there's something I need to show you." Pitch didn't respond he just watched as Jack pulled away slightly and reached for the right sleeve of his jacket. Carefully he lifted away the blue fabric and Pitch felt his heart strings pull.

There were more than twenty light scars patterning Jack's wrist. Along with two or three newer ones, one obviously in the first stages of healing. Pitch looked up to Jack who was now shedding large tears. Pitch had no idea what to say. And he felt something he hadn't felt in a very long time, real sadness.

Unlike Pitch who spent the last years sitting and thinking, Jack had responsibilities he had to go out and provide for the people because he was something they needed in order to believe in him. And Jack was not going to give up for the people he had worked so hard to impress. Instead he dealt with life and the recent disappointments by hiding how upset he was to everyone around him, but when it came to being alone, the way Pitch had left him, he needed someway to let it out.

"Jack I had no idea how upset I made you," Pitch mumbled looking away.

"You aren't disappointed in me?" Jack asked sniffing slightly.

"I have no reason to be," He turned back eyeing Jack's wrist, "It's my fault."

"Pitch… I understand there was nothing you could do…. I was just…" Jack didn't finish.

"You were alone and with no one to go to," Pitch sighed, "But I… I will make this right." Reaching out his arms Pitched pulled Jack into a tight embrace. Jack didn't say anything he just held his arms around the other spirit and let tears fall out of his eyes. Then very abruptly Pitch stood and Jack stumbled slightly at the shift, and looked up to Pitch.

"Jack I am going to make things right," Pitch looked very determined yet a hint of fear was in the back of his eyes and Jack tried not to notice.

Pitch set his hands on Jack's shoulders spinning the pair around he sat Jack on the edge of the bed and looked him in the eyes, "Stay here, I will be back soon, I promise." Jack smiled weakly and Pitch stood higher then placed his lips to Jack's forehead and without another word he vanished into the darkness.

It was hardly an hour after North had entered Jack's closet that he was now nervously leaning over the railing by the globe awaiting his fellow guardian's arrival. When at last they finally arrived. Tooth had arrived first practically flying through the window in a fit of nerves. Shortly after Sandy arrived smiling weakly. And finally Bunny showed up clearly he was in the midst of falling asleep when he got North's call.

"What is this all about then Mate?" Bunny asked trying to cover a yawn.

"This," North turned to face them throwing the winter guardians staff to the floor. Tooth let out a small yell and covered her mouth quickly with her hands. Sandy stood shocked and exclamation point hovering over his head.

"Ja-Jack's staff?" Bunny asked clearly awake now.

"Yes, found it this morning. There was shouting coming from his room then when I finally got there it was dark and all I found was this," North growled and pointed to the staff.

"Do, do do you think he's alright?" Tooth asked hiccupping she was seconds away from letting out a serious fit.

"I'm not sure, but when I got to the closet everything was so quiet around here it was almost spooky," North explained crossing his arms and placing his chin in his hand.

"You don't think it was…" Bunny didn't finish but the whole group knew whom he was referring to.

Pitch sped out of the underground lair and up into the forest so quickly he was very winded when he stopped and stood beneath a tree. He couldn't believe it. Jack was feeling so much pain and all that Jack wanted was to be loved again, loved by the one person who had ripped everything out of him. While all Pitch had been doing was wallowing to himself inside a cave. There was so much he could have been doing this whole time. He could have just gone out to say hello to Jack, he could have just checked on him. But he didn't.

And now what was Pitch on the verge of doing. He was going to try and be the main guardian that everyone believed in again and he was trying to use that kid Jack loved so much to do it. Pitch was about to turn this brown haired teen into what Pitch was, just because he was upset with himself and his missed the days when he had power.

No. Pitch could not ruin things again. He was not going to let himself. He needed to set things right he needed to save that kid. He had to. Before Jack finds out, or the guardians or seasons found out and ran off to tell Jack. No this time Pitch was going to come out of hiding, free the season and kid, he was going to live off everyday fears instead of causing his own and then he could finally be with Jack. And finally things would be right.

Pitch swallowed and slinked back off to his cave. When he arrived though he found something he was not expecting. Something that was really going to throw a wrench in his plan to become a better person. There standing at the entrance to the cave was Jamie. His eyes were a dark yellow and Pitch could see a blackness forming at the tips of his fingers. Pitch's heart stopped. He was too late, in a matter of hours this child was going to become the next boogeyman.

Sorry it was kind of short and if there are errors. Point them out to me I will fix them. And again sorry for the delay. I really am going to try my best to finish this before summer is over.
