Alrighty, who's also heart broken over season 3 so far? I'm pretty sure we all are, I mean come on! Who didn't cry over Erica? Poor baby! And to top it off, we're only into episode 4! :(
Anyways, considering what's happened in the season so far, I thought I'd try and pull this. The show's timeline threw out what I had going, but I'm working on it. I'm just going to swap things around and see where it goes from there.
Quick note, this is unbeta'd and I apologize for any mistakes and for how long it's taken to get up.
The woods were alive with growls and snarls. Sam and Stiles could hear them for miles, and for some possibly stupid and ungodly reason, Sam was following.
He had been silent all night, refusing to answer Stiles' questions.
The teen sighed in frustration. "Can you just tell me what we're doing out here?" He asked for the tenth time that hour. Sam snarled, narrowing his black eyes as he softly treaded through the damp leaves.
"Come on! Run!" Sam stiffened at the screams echoing through the trees. Stiles gasped in surprise. "That's Erica!"
Sam blinked and Stiles almost cried out in surprise when they were near the lake, he was sure they weren't anywhere near it just a second ago. "Well, this is going to be interesting." Sam muttered as he slowly knelt down to pick up a fist sized rock. It felt heavy in his hand and the demon smirked. Perfect.
The two who were running dashed behind a tree, not noticing Stiles behind another tree a few feet away, concealed by the shrubs and their fear over powering their senses.
"And she's with Boyd! They made it out!" Stiles sighed in relief, unaware of Sam's ideas floating around him.
A large pack of wolves surrounded the two and Erica let out a small sob, her hand clutching Boyd's tightly.
"Let's do this." Sam growled, stepping out from behind the trees.
"What are you doing?!"
Sam threw his arm out toward one of the werewolves encircled around the two teens. The wolf howled in shock and pain as he was thrown backwards into one of the large trees by an invisible force. The others bar one looked toward Stiles in shock, fear flittering in their eyes apart from the man standing behind the rest of the pack. Sam counted five wolves in total. A female, a pair of twins, a balding middle aged man and a man with a cane and glasses over his eyes.
"Deucalion, long time no see." Sam purred, slipping the rock into his pants pocket.
The man with the glasses and cane hummed. "Hasn't it been so, Sam. I sense a new body. Tell me if I'm mistaken?"
Sam laughed darkly. "Yes, this is one of Derek's. Found him lying in the woods a few days ago. One of your pups tore him up a bit and I felt like a change, so I claimed him as my own."
Erica and Boyd watched on in confusion, trying to put the pieces together. They still tightly clung to each other, scared to drop their defences in the Alpha pack's presence.
"We have to help them!"
"Have any of them noticed?" Deucalion asked, seemingly interested as he unclipped his cane. Sam shook his head. "They've questioned if the boy is feeling alright, but a simple 'I'm just under the weather' seemed to deter them for now."
The cane flicked out and reconnected with a series of clicks. To Deucalion's right, the female wolf snarled in irritation.
"Can we get this over and done with?" She sneered, scratching at the ground with her bare feet. Sam rolled his eyes. "I think you need to teach them some manners, especially toward their elders." The demon growled, his eyes flickering black as he stared at the woman blankly, licking his lips.
She stared back at him with narrowed eyes, as if daring him to talk again.
"Sam, this is Kali. I don't believe you've met."
Sam rose an eyebrow. "No, she wasn't around last time we crossed paths."
Kali growled loudly, baring her fangs and taking a quick step forward, but Sam was quicker and he flicked his hand to the side, sending the woman into another tree with the same invisible force. She howled in anger, jumping up into a crouch. Her eyes flashed red and Sam laughed at her, causing the woman to anger more.
"Why are you letting him do this?" She snarled at Deucalion, her arrogance replaced by fury.
Deucalion ignored the woman's question and turned toward where he could sense Sam to be. "I've known you for as long as I've been a werewolf, so I'm under the influence that know you quite well, Sam."
Sam gave a small nod, ignoring the fact that Deucalion couldn't see him do so.
"Why are you here tonight?"
Sam looked around at the wolves, Kali and other male he had thrown earlier were still on the ground, watching silently.
Erica and Boyd seemed more relaxed at seeing a familiar face, but they still seemed on edge, scared for an oncoming attack. Finally the twins stood side by side to Deucalion's right, both shirtless and staring at Sam with curiosity.
"I want to make a deal. You take the boy and I'll take the girl."
Erica gasped, her hand tightening around her boyfriend's. "No!" She cried, "don't do this!"
"Both of them Sam!" Stiles exclaimed desperately. He was getting more and more frustrated with the demon ignoring him.
Sam turned to Erica and Boyd with narrowed eyes. "Just this is about you, doesn't mean you can butt in."
The girl winced and bowed her head, her eyes filling with tears.
The Alpha's all looked to Deucalion, on edge as he thought about the demon's deal. He hummed to himself and began unclipping his cane once again. Everyone watched in silence as he flicked it back into place and began unclipping it for the third time.
"What's in it for me?"
"I know what you want to do to Derek, and my ideas will help you." This seemed to catch the man's full attention. "But I can't tell you what those ideas are. You'll just have to wait and see until it happens."
"Fine, take the girl."
There was an uproar of noise from the other Alphas. Yells of disagreement echoing through the forest and across the lake.
"ENOUGH!" The lead Alpha yelled, instantly silencing everyone. Sam even felt Stiles wince. He took a deep breath through his nose and snapped his cane shut. "Take the girl."
Sam slowly walked toward Erica who cowered behind Boyd. The teenage boy growled threateningly, causing Sam to laugh in amusement.
"Could you please?"
The twins strutted down and grabbed Boyd roughly, throwing him to the ground where he landed with a grunt. Erica cried out in fear, reaching out for him, but Sam grabbed her by the throat and shoved her backwards into the tree. "Not so fast, missy." He snarled, pulling the rock from his pocket and hitting her across the temple.
She became limp instantly, falling forwards into Sam's arms. Sam looked over at the Alphas, tilting his head down slightly and smirking.
"Thanks. I'll be seeing you." And then they were gone.
