Revenge

He hated to admit it, but it was hard on him to find out second hand after the fact that Jason Todd had been murdered. By the time he had already been apprenticed to Slade for a month, Robin 2.0 had been dead for 23 days 14 hours and approximately 45 minutes it was too much for him to handle and he admits something in him broke when Slade told him the news. He spent the following month working himself half to death learning everything he could from Slade before the rest of the Titans could find out and researching the Joker and the circumstances of Jason's death extensively while keeping an eye out for Batman.

After the Titans had "rescued" him he kept up his new study and training habits and took it one step further all the while restraining himself from showing anything beyond what the Titans remember about him all the while waiting, watching, searching for weaknesses until finally he struck.

Hacking a beta tube wasn't very hard to do convincing it not to announce his presence was harder than making it forget he went through at all was and even that was simple. Sneaking into Joker's latest hideout was a piece of cake he took care of all the underlings quickly and silently not taking the chance that they might interfere with his plans. He snuck in, finding Joker right where he expected him to be, and shut all the doors.

Richard smirked when the news came that the Joker's body was found rotting in a warehouse before calmly folding the newspaper and putting it in the waste bin and leaning back in his seat.
