Soooo I deicded to do the next chapter sooner rather then later why? I don't know. Well I hope my fans are happy. Now the chapter we have been waiting for I think? Now what will this chapter hold? What will happen to Yoake's and Kirito's friends? Well you will have to read and find out. As for Yoake I have a few skills planed him making him way different then Kirito since I do have something planned for both of them and for the future. this chapter will have something else mention on a past relationship and some might like what i did

I am working on a boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai cross over I hope you look forward to it as I love the anime will do my best to make it work with baka and test. I am also working on a few hyperdimension neptunia fics I am thinking of paring him with nep nep or compa any ideas? I will write more at the end as I have poll please vote on it. i just started to play persona 3 psp on my vita and hmmm i love the game but i also love 4 and if i do a cross over with baka and test i wont know what to pick. oh well maybe i will later.

one thing i would like to ask my readers do you think i should add lemons to my fics and make lemon fics? since i am planeing on doing a seren kagura cross over with baka and test. i know many are owndering why i do so many baka and test fics well its cause i love the anime with a burning passion and other animes as well. a certain anime that caught my like is the devil is a part timer might do a cross over with baka test. any way please answer in a review and my boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai cross over is up check it out.

Chapter 5 Guilt and the unforgettable night

May 16 2023 floor 28 afternoon

Kirito had arrived at the inn they were staying at for this floor looking for Sachi and saw her sitting on the sofa along with the rest of her friends. They were all talking about their last quest and how they had done. Kirito looked around and saw Yoake walking in behind him.

"Yo! Kirito why are you standing at the door? Something up?"

"Ummm, no it's nothing just a bit tired is all."

"If you say so, now excuse me I need to get dinner ready for all of us I hear our leader has something important to tell us. He says we will be in for a surprise. Yoake said makeing his way toward the inns kitchen.

"I wonder what he has to tell us? Could he have figure out who me and Yoake are? No, we haven't given any reason to think we are Beaters. I wonder what he has to say then. Kirito thought to himself as he would be on guard just to be safe. He looked over to Yoake who was in the kitchen putting a bag of ingredients on the kitchen table and saw him smile. I wonder why he is so happy?"

Kirito shrugged it off deciding to take a bit of a rest. He sat next to Sachi and relaxed a bit as her friends where asking about the new shield she had gotten.

Yoake was looking at his stats and gave a smile. He had finally leveled up his cooking level up to make his favorite dish. He had missed it ever since entering the game he wondered how it would taste seeing as it wasn't real.

"Hmmmm, I wonder? Whatever I hope everyone will like what I make. Tonight's meal will be special." he said to himself.

A small amount time had passed as Keita had arrived just as the sun was setting. He had a smile on his face. He looked around the inns resting area and saw someone missing.

"Where's Yoake? Don't tell me I have to have him dragged back here for our meeting?"

As he said this he ducked as a wooden spoon was thrown at him from the kitchen.

"I'm here dammit! I'm just cooking us dinner." Yoake said walking out of the kitchen drying his hands on his apron taking it off and pulling up a small chair so the meeting could begin.

"Good now that where all here I have a huge announcement for you guys. After our last hunt, we've saved over 20,000 cor!"

As he said this the group couldn't believe they had made so much money just from doing mid-level quest. They were happy.

"It wont be long till we're able to buy our own house." Spoke one of the party members as the group agreed but one of other members spoke up.

"Hey, why don't we get more equipment for Sachi?" Another party member had agreed with him but Sachi decide to speak up.

"No, I'm fine as I am. Beside I already have new shield so I don't need any new gear see."

She pulled out her new shield letting the leader see it for the first time.

"Where exactly did you get the money for it?"

"Um, Yoake was kind enough to give me some of his own money that he got before joining us. With the money he gave me and using my shares of the money we have I was able to but this for myself along with Kirito-kuns help." She said as Kirito nodded supporting her claim.

"Well that's good we can't always have Yoake and Kirito protecting us."

"I really don't mind, don't worry about it." Kirito said aloud to party member looking over to Yoake.

"Well what else can we do I mean we are friends after all and we help each other out so it's not really a bother you guys. Beside I really am not as good as Kirito he is the one taught me about MMOS."

Kirito looked a bit embarrassed being praised by his friend but the other nodded agreeing with him. Keita nodded and spoke again.

"Kirito,Yoake I'm sorry for the trouble we keep causing you two. He said looking at both of them who only shrugged it off as he continued. Sachi, I know it's hard to switch jobs. But you're almost there."

"Yeah.."

Kirito looked over to Sachi who looked sadden by what her friend had said. He thought she needed someone to talk to later. Kirito only paid attention to the rest of meeting seeing his friend Yoake go back to the kitchen to look after the food. When the meeting had finally had ended Kirito returned to his room for a bit. He laid on his bed looking at the ceiling. He decided to go outside and kill some time seeing as it was still early.

As he was walking down the stairs he took a whiff of the air and heard talking.

"Hmmmm, I'm just about done all I need to do is let it simmer for a bit and it will be done. Looks like I got some time to kill while I wait."

Kirito walked down the stairs and saw his friend heading for the sofa

"Yoake?"

Yoake turned to see his friend.

"Kirito you're still up?"

"It's not that late, beside even if I wanted to go to bed early I can't since I have a lot on my mind right now."

"Anything you like to talk about?"

"No, well at least not right now. I'm a bit worried about Sachi she seems to have something on her mind but she doesn't want to talk about it, even when I ask her."

Kirito saw Yoake shake his head at him.

"What?"

"Kirito you can't force someone to tell you something they don't want to unless they are ready. You need to wait for Sachi to be ready to tell you."

"Oh."

"Yea that's pretty much why you sometimes suck at making friends you are a bit clueless when it comes to talking things out."

"Well sorry, I don't have the hang of talking to people that aren't you since your pretty much use to me."

"Just cause I am doesn't mean you can't take it down a bit. Anyway you said you were going out right?"

"Yea, need to clear my head for a bit. Want to come along?"

"Sure but I can't be gone long I need to come back and check on the food soon. I'm making my favorite dish tonight."

Kirito saw Yoake start to drool a bit at the mention of his favorite food. He couldn't help but grin and burst his hope.

"You do know it's not really your favorite dish? We are still stuck in Sword Art online."

He saw his friend fall on the ground and cursed.

"You just had to remind me of that. I don't care if we are stuck in here I'm making my favorite dish even if it's fake!"

"Ok…" was all Kirito said with a small sweat going down his head as he regained himself and looked at Yoake who hoisted his sword on his back.

"Well that's going."

"Right. Yoake lets just go before it gets any later."

"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming already."

Kirito and Yoake made their way out of the inn walking into town seeing a few people still out. They saw some where either talking with friends or getting ready to head in. the street lights where turning on as they made their way out of town.

"So, Kirito."

"Yeah?"

"How long have we been stuck in Sword art online?" Yoake asked him with his hands behind his head walking next to his friend.

Kirito began to think about the day he had started sword art online and add up the days.

"Count the time after Sword art online we met one month after the game started. That's was December 2, 2022."

"That's right we missed Christmas with our family. Well I cant say it was all bad Yoake said looking over to his friend who had a small smile.

"First time we spent that day together as a friends after so long."

"Yea, it was nice just the two us but it was kind of lonely just drinking at the bar. I still don't think we are old enough to drink even if it's a game."

"That didn't stop you from drinking those drinks." Kirito said thinking back to that day, he had found out Yoake can hold down his drink even if in a game. He went back to thinking about how long they spent trapped.

"I say almost six months." He said as Yoake nodded agreeing with him and speaking.

"Sounds about right I'm surprised we have made it so far."

"So far, yet we have a long way to go before we are free."

"Yea, but as long as we keep at it we will can make it far I'm sure we can become powerful enough to take on any boss!"

"Heh, yea, we just have to keep at it and we can finally get out of here. Once we get out I really need to visit and smack you in real life for getting yourself stuck in here."

Yoake looked over to his friend giving him an annoyed look for his comment.

"Really? You cant make time to visit me but you will make time to come see me just to smack me for coming in here to see you?"

"Yup."

"Some friend you are. But, maybe I should make planes to see you and your family again."

As Yoake said those words his friend grew silent sill walking next to him. Yoake looked at him and thought he was a bit tired and shrugged it off as they made their way outside of the town heading for the open field.

"Ummm, Yoake…"

"Something up Kirito?" He asked his friend with his hand behind his head looking at the sky.

"Well, it's about my sister Suguha. huh? What's that?"

Kirito pointed to the open field making Yoake turn his head to where his friend was pointing. They both saw a group of people chasing a wild wolf. They were about to go and see if they needed help but both saw who was leading the wolf into other people.

"Klein?" They both said aloud seeing their former friend.

They may have spoken to loud as they had gotten his attention.

Klein seeing his old friends only smiled as he told his friends he would be back. He ran up the hill with a grin picking up the pace. Kirito saw Yoake run over to Klein and saw them shake hands.

"Yoake! Kirito! It's good to see you two after so long!"

"You don't have to yell we're right here and I'm loving the new look."

Yoake saw Klein smile as he spoke.

"Glade you do. A few weeks after you left the group we managed to find some sweet gear too bad you weren't with us there was a cool samurai sword you would have liked not to mention it came it came with armor."

"Why does the real world and fake world hate me!"

Kirito and Klein saw Yoake yell and fall on his knees and started punching the grass.

"Uhhhh, is he?"

"Yes, he is sometimes like this since whenever something good is about to happen or does happen to him, he ends up getting screwed either way." Kirito said just shaking his head at his friend's antics

"Man that must really suck for him."

"Hmm,"

"Anyway it's good to see you again Kirito. What are you doing out here so late? You leveling up or something?" Klein asked as he offered his hand earning a small hand shake form him.

"Yea, it's good to see you again after such a long time and no not really just needed to clear my head of a few things. Yoake decided to come and help me forget."

Klein nodded seeing Yoake getting back up and dusting himself off.

"Sorry about that."

Klein and Kirito got a sweat drop shaking their heads. Klein noticed something about Yoake and Kirito and saw what it was

"I'm sorry but I have to get going Klein. We can talk some other time."

"Huh? What?!"

Kirito walked past Klein leaving Yoake alone with him. Yoake was about to follow him but was stopped by Klein who wrapped his arms around Yoake.

"Ahhhh!"

"Now about that meal you promised us? Klein said with a sly grin as his other friends started to get near.

"Dammit!"

Kirito could only hear Yoake start to talk to Klein. He couldn't make out what they were saying but he could have sworn he heard something about food. He decided it was time to head back seeing as it was getting late.

Kirito set foot back in the town and was about to make his way back to the inn. But he saw the message icon appear in front. He opened the message and saw it was form his friend.

"It's from Keita."

"Sachi left and hasn't returned. The rest of us are heading to dungeon area. If you learn anything, let me know."

As he finished reading the message he was filled with worry for his friend.

"Sachi.."

He opened his screen and went to settings and clicked on the option track. This feature would let him find her. His eyes glowed for a bit letting him see the world in a different vision. He looked around him trying to find a small trace of her and saw some foot prints. He ran in the direction of the foot prints. Kirito found himself running down the towns ally following the foot prints. He followed them finding himself at a bridge. He opened his screen and turned off his tracking as he looked looking for Sachi.

"Where is she? Does this have something to do with what she wanted to tell me?" Kirito asked himself walking over the bridge. Hear the running water he looked over the rail and saw her. He saw Sachi sitting grabbing her knees looking at the water as it replaced the moon light. He walked to the side of the bridge taking the stairs to talk to Sachi and find out what was wrong. He walked closer to her and as he entered ear range he spoke letting her know of his presences.

"Sachi."

Sachi stiffened as she was called and looked over to Kirito surprised that he was there.

"Kirito-kun?"

"Everyone's worried." Kirito said as he took a few more steps forward but decided it was best to seat a few feet away from her seeing she was in thought.

Neither said a anything for a short time until the silence was broken.

"Hey, Kirito…"

Kirito only looked over to Sachi to show that he was listening.

"Let's run away together."

"Run away from what?" He asked her not understanding what she meant wanting to run away.

"From this town, the monsters…From the black cats. From sword art online."

"Huh? His eyes widen at what she had said did she mean that she wanted to?! D-do you mean a double suicide? He expected her to be joking but the look she had on her face said otherwise. He heard her only continued. Wait D-do you mean a double suicide?"

He only heard her speak again with the same tone.

"That might be ok. No I'm sorry. That was a lie if I had the courage to die, I wouldn't hide within the safety of the town, would I?"

Kirito was at a lost as he just looked at her he didn't know what to say. But he heard her ask him a question.

"Hey Kirito, why cant we leave we leave this place?"

"Uh?"

"Why do we have to die even though it's a game? What's the point of this?"

Kirito sighed at what he was asked and wanted to have an answer but he didn't so he only told her what he thought about it.

"I don't think there is a point. I don't know why this is happening nor do I think I will ever understand. But this world is now life for us."

Nothing more was said as they both stared at the water listening to it in silence.

"I'm afraid of dying."

Those words made his eyes widen as he looked at her and saw she was still facing the water.

"You're afraid of dying?" He saw her only nod her head and saw her start to shake.

"I'm so scared that I haven't been able to sleep lately…"

He saw that she continued to shake and couldn't stand to see her like this.

"You won't die." He told her trying to assure her and trying to take away her fear. Sachi looked over to him seeing looking at her.

"Really? How can you say for sure?" She asked him as he continued.

"The Black cats is a strong guild our margin of safety is well above average and Tetsuo and I and Yoake are all here. There's no need for you to force yourself into the front ranks. I and Yoake wont let you or any of our friends get hurt, if we did what kind of friends would we be?"

Sachi saw the look Kirito had on his face and saw he meant every word.

"I really don't have to die? I can go back to reality someday?"

"Yeah. You aren't going to die. I'm sure they'll beat this game eventually. I will make sure you get out no matter what it takes and no matter who gets in my way I will make sure we all get out so we can live out our real lives again."

She looked up and saw him smile at her. She couldn't help but see the warmth and truth he had in his words. She smiled back and only shed tears of happiness.

Kirito stood up and walked over to Sachi and offered her his hand.

"Sachi lets go back our friends are probably worried about us?"

She took his hand and was helped up and they both made their way back to the inn they were stay at. As they were walking back Sachi saw she was still holding Kirito's hand and blushed as she retrieved her hand walking next to him.

"Something wrong?"

"No, its nothing."

He nodded and they resumed their walk back to the inn, when they arrived they heard a loud commotion from the inside and wondered if everything was ok. When they walked in Kirito saw Klein and his friends talking with the black cats and looked like they were having a good time. Once inside they were greeted and sat down wondering what was going on and found out Yoake was serving his best dish tonight.

"Well everyone I hope you love it I was finally able to make it. I hope you all like piaya!"

He came from the kitchen holding a few plates making sure everyone got one. Many of the people were shocked by what he had made Sachi and her friends looked at the food not believing their eyes. Sachi looked over to Klein and his friends and saw them smile and some of their mouths water.

"So this is your best dish it better be worth it. One of them said with a grin before being hit with a wooden spoon. Causing a few people to laugh.

Kirito looked at the food and recalled the last time he had this dish. He was filled with old memories of that one day and spoke when Yoake was close

"I haven't had this in a long time Yoake, ever since you moved away.."

Yoake just finished severing everyone and took a seat to the right of Kirito seeing as Sachi had the left seat.

"Yea, last time we had was this when it was my last day before I moved away. I just glad my dad was able to make it for us." Yoake told his friend in a whisper not want to ruin the meal everyone was eating. They wanted to say more but they decided it was best for another time.

the Rest of night was spent eating and talking with friends before it was time to call it a night. Everyone seemed to tire themselves out as they headed back to their rooms. Klein and his friends had left thanking their friend for the meal saying they had a quest early in the morning. The rest of the group decided it was time to turn in for tomorrow. Yoake had told Kirito he was tired and was heading for bed.

He nodded understanding before heading back to his own room. Kirito walked into his room closing the door to his room. Kirito spent some time looking over his things not noticing time pass him by.

"Hmmm, Yoake and I are doing pretty good even though we are part of group. We need make sure we keep up with our training. Sachi is really coming along with her sword training, but she seems set on using her shield. Maybe she can use it along with her sword?"

He began searching through his items seeing what he had and suddenly heard a soft knock on his bedroom door. He quickly closed his screen not wanting to show his level.

"Wonder who could it be? Is it Yoake? He heard knocking again. Come in."

The door opened and in walked in the last person he thought would be at the door.

"Sachi?"

He saw her walk in looking a bit bothered and saw she had her pillow with her. Many things went through his mind. But the number one thing was.

"Is she still bothered about what we talked about?"

"I'm sorry, I just couldn't sleep."

"Huh?"

"Do you mind if I sleep here?"

Kirito thought about what she asked and saw no harm to it he told her she could if that's what she wanted. She smiled and walked over to his bed and got in. he could have sworn she seemed a bit happy about the idea. He saw her get under the covers and face away from him. Kirito turned off the light thinking they would bother her. He got in his bed faced away from her closing his eyes pretending to fall asleep. A short time passed as he heard Sachis light breathing letting him know she was asleep. He then recalled what he told her.

"If you stay in this guild, you'll be safe. Someday you'll go back to reality. There are lots of players like you who are afraid of dying. But they still laugh, cry, and live, as best as they can in this world. But is that the right way to live? I have never thought about it but Yoake pointed something out to me when we traveled alone for a while. We always had a great time traveling in sword art online we would sometimes even forget we were trapped. But is that really so bad?" Kirito asked to himself as he heard a voice.

"Kirito-kun?"

He turned to face her and spoke trying to put her at ease.

"It's ok you're going to survive." He told her as she only looked at him and smiled before nodding and going back to sleep.

"I'll protect you all of you."

Kirito said this as he raise his hand into the air and promised he would do it.

"I will also protect you, Yoake my best friend." He said clenching his fist thinking about his friend. He just turned and looked at the sleeping Sachi and he sighed closing his eyes going to sleep.

Morning had soon come and Kirito had woken to the sound yelling from down stairs.

"NO, TOUCHING TILL IT"S READY!"

"Yoake…" was all he said as he sat up from his bed a bit tired form last night. He had awoken up late and decided to look at his gear and move a few things around for easier usage. He looked over to a sleeping Sachi and was glade she had slept well. He moved his hand across her head moving her hair out of her face. He stopped his action when he heard her star to stir awake.

"Might as well get ready for the day and see what awaits us."

Morning outside Sao 3 weeks later

Akira was heading to the hospital to see if anything had changed with her brother. But deep down she knew nothing had changed seeing as if something had changed it would have many yelling in joy that they had woken up but no such luck. She was bit sadden that her mother and father could not come to see their son, she asked why couldn't they come? Their answer they were busy and had problems overseas as well with people dying and being trapped when it all began.

"Do they really think so little of their son since he isn't very smart? Then again who am I to say anything I don't really much of him since I went to study overseas."

She only sighed as she looked at her wristwatch on her right hand and saw her brother friends wouldn't be out for a while unless they got out early again. She knew it had been a few months since the game had started and the school was still feeling the shock of pain seeing as every few days or weeks one of their student would be announced dead. She knew they feared when that announcement came on knowing they could hear his friends name.

"I guess I would be scared as well."

She continued her walk to the hospital and as she entered she was greeted by a few people that were staying in the waiting area. She made her way to front desk ringing the bell allowing the sitting nurse reading a few papers to look up at her.

"Ah, Akira I assume you're hear to see your brother again?"

She only nodded as she saw her pull out the visitor log. She saw her looked a bit worried as she spoke.

"It seems one of his friends is already here seeing him. it would appear you're not the first today, but everything is as is. So you may go ahead and see him."

Akira eyes widen at the mention of someone already visiting her brother. So she decided to ask who it was.

"Do you know who the one who is seeing my brother is?" Akira asked the nurse as she spoke.

"I do not know, but she is a young pretty girl with black hair." Akira walked down the hall heading for her brothers room wondering who was already there.

"Could it be one of the girls? No, they would let me know if they were coming to see him that's what we agreed to seeing as I wont let them get near him when he is asleep. Beside she said she had black hair I wonder who it is? As Akira entered the elevator and rode it to the floor to her brother's room she was still trying to figure out who was seeing her brother. She decided to text her brother friends and see if they knew anything. Sure enough it was a quick response form everyone. She read the boys responses saying they didn't know anything and that Yuuji would ask Shouko and see if she knew anything. She sighed knowing what the next two texts would say.

"What!? A girl is visiting AKI?! Who is it?!"

"How does she even know him?! Do we even know her?!"

"I guess they don't know anything either, just who is visiting my brother?"

As the elevator stopped on the fourth floor she stepped out walking to her brother room. Making her way she saw a few rooms where still filled with people wearing the nerve gear but what made her cringe was that a few beds she was that once had a body were now empty. She had a dark thought for moment.

"Aki…. How long before you…" Her thoughts interrupted when she heard someone's voice

"Yoshii, I didn't think you would really do it. I thought you were just joking."

"Whose voice is it?"

Akira walked into her brother's room and saw a girl sitting next to her brother. She saw her holding his hand to her face. She was about to call out to her but heard her speak.

"To think we would meet like this after so long, I don't even know if you found my brother you must be trying so hard to find him."

Akira walked forward letting the girl know of her presences.

"Oh, are you here to see yoshii-kun to? She asked Akira as she put Akihisa hand back on the bed looking at her."

Akira saw that the girl had short black hair and dark grey eyes. She was holding a small bag on her shoulder and wearing a school uniform her shirt was red with a blue bow along with dark blue skirt.

"umm, yes my name is Akira Yoshi I'm his older sister and who may you be? The girls eyes widen as she gave her name and bowed.

"Akira yoshii?! It's good to finally see his sister, my name is Kirigaya Suguha I'm your brother's friend."

Akira couldn't believe what the girl had just said. She was her brother's friend then why hadn't she ever met her? Given she studied overseas it didn't surprise her to much but why was she only coming to see her brother today.

"Well, its good to know my brother has a another friend but who are you? Why haven't I met you before and why are you barely coming to visit."

Suguha felt a bit bad about know what she said was true, but decided to explain how she knew Akira's brother but before she could the rooms door opened running in two girls. Akira looked over to them wondering why they were here so early. She saw Yuuji and the rest walk I behind them looking a bit down and out two and two together.

"Another one died?" Was all she asked with a sadden look as Yuuji spoke.

"Yeah, it was a first year from class A. He just started school and this happened we were all let out early this morning and."

"Who is she!" Both girls yelled pointing at Suguha who looked at the girls wondering who they were.

"I don't know who you two are but can you please keep it down, we are in the hospital."

They both looked at Akira as she spoke.

"Well, I'm glad you're here to see Aki again but allow me to tell who she is. She is my brothers friend Kirigaya Suguha."

"But, Aki never mentioned have any other friend beside us? "

"I guess Yoshiii-kun never really talked about me and my brother around you guys?"

Mizuki and Minami eyes widen as she called him Yoshii-kun but before they could speak Akira spoke up.

"Would you mind tell us how you know my brother since his friends will be wanting to know as well."

She nodded as she began.

"I have known your brother for a long time since we were kids. My brother became friends with you're and he introduced me to Yoshii-kun. We would always play in the playground since my brother didn't have friends and was happy to have one that did think he was weird for taking likes to game so young. We were friends for about a year before he had to move away."

"I remember that. He was so upset that we had to move away saying he would miss his friends."

Suguha nodded as she continued.

"We kept in touch over the years through video chats and emails."

"How do we know you're not lying? Asked Mizuki and Minami."

"Why would I lie about being friends with him? Suguha asked them wondering why they wouldn't believe her. She then remembered the picture she had and opened her bag and pulled a ripped picture which was taped. Akira took a hold of the picture and saw two boys with their arms around each other's shoulders. Akira saw a small girl standing by the boy she didn't know in the picture and finally knew what the letter she had sent meant.

"So you're the girl I sent the letter to?"

Akira could feel herself being stared at by her brothers friends.

"What are you talking about Akira?" Yuuji asked her as she spoke.

"Well when I found out my brother was stuck in the game I was worried and thought maybe he left something behind to tell us why he went in the game."

They all nodded as Suguha paid attention.

"Well I found one letter and told you about it, but there was another letter and this one had two pictures inside of it. The letter had an address in it, I didn't know who it belonged to it just had a note saying to my friends please mail and so I did. so you're the person I mailed the letter to?"

She only nodded as she pulled out letter Akira had sent her. They were shocked by the fact that everything she was saying true but Mizuki and Minami where wondering did she like him?

"I got the letter a while back and just got the chance to come and see him. I just wish he didn't do this even if it was for me."

"What!?"

Everyone looked shocked by her words not want to believe them. But one person asked her if it was true.

"You mean he went in there for you?! How do you know this?!" Minami asked her as the others were curious as well.

"He called me the day before he went into the game and we talked for a bit and he said he would understand if I hated him for what he was about to do. I asked him what he was going to do and he told me he was going to get my brother back for me since and because he was his friend."

Everyone saw Suguha looking a bit with tears as she continued.

"He told me he was going to go into the game and bring him back so we could all be together again as friends. I didn't even get to tell him to stop I tried to tell him not to go telling him I didn't want to lose him like I lost my brother but.."

"But?" They asked wanting to know what he had said.

"He, laughed telling me not to say my brother wasn't lost he is still alive and he would be back soon and, he told me something personal I don't think I should tell you." She started to turn a bit red as she recalled the last thing he had told her before going into Sword art online.

Akira walked up to her and spoke.

"Please, can you please tell me what he told you."

"Well, he sort asked me if he had a shot with me."

All girl just looked at her and Minami pointed at her.

"You're the one he has a crush on!?"

She only nodded as she spoke to Akira

"Yes, he asked if he had a shot and I gave him an answer."

"Which was?"

"I'm not saying that's my business but Akira do you mind if I ask how he has been?"

Akira nodded as she deiced to tell her brother old friends about how he had been. She told Suguha that she had come to see her brother and found out he was stuck in the game from her friends. Suguha grew a bit curies when she was told how he was doing in the game since she was told he met up with a man named Kirito. She denied that being her brother's name but wonder if it was him, but wanted to know how they knew what he was doing in Sword art online.

Suguha was surprised that she was told of the screens letting people outside see into sword art online.

"Didn't you get one? Akira asked her as she shook her head."

"No, when they came into my brothers room and started giving everyone who was there one I thought I would get one as well but I didn't. a man told I wouldn't be able to get one since my brother was a beta tester. I asked how that was fair but the man told me he was just following his ordered and bid me a Farewell since he had many things to do. so I haven't seen anything that has been going with my brother."

"I see, then you must be worried for him, would you like to see him? The screen we have will be on some time near noon, since we can only use it for an hour. But you must be hungry would you like something to eat in the hospitals cafeteria."

"I'd like that, it will give me time to discuss a few things with Yoshii-kuns sister and his friends."

Akihisa's friend seemed a bit against the idea mostly the girls but the men decided it was best to know her seeing as she knew Akihisa. Akira told a passing nurse to inform them if anything changed with her brother. She nodded as they went to eat.

Back in Sword art online June 12 2023

Yoake, Kirito and Sachi where all discussing today's plans during trying to figure out what they would be doing. But their plans were already decided by the guild leader when he had a surprise for everyone.

"Ok everyone I have great news for everyone!"

"What?" They all asked wondering their leader wanted seeing as he looked happy.

"We have finally made enough to buy a small house for all of us. I already have a meeting planned with someone in the town of beginning to set everything up."

All the other members cheered hearing the news as Yoake was in thought about the whole thing but cheers along with his friends. In all he was happy since it would mean he could finally have a place to rest with his friends.

Kirito was a bit happy seeing the others excited about finally getting a place of their own. He knew it would be a good way to spend their free time relaxing and a good a way to save money. He looked over to Yoake and saw him in thought but before he could ask what was wrong he saw him smile.

"I wonder what's on his mind? I wonder if I should ask him, he has been acting a bit weird ever since he talked to ."

Everyone was happy the rest of the day as their leader was getting everything else in order for the buy collecting all the core they had. Minus the core Yoake and Kirito had from their travels when they where alone. They headed out of the inn heading for the portal in the center of town. They bid their leader Farwell as he was going to the town of beginnings.

"Okay, see you. Teleport town beginnings."

The group saw their leader leave them alone as one of them spoke.

"I didn't know buying your own home would be so exciting"

"You sound like an old man. Responded one of his friends hitting him over his shoulder causing the rest to laugh.

Kirito smiled looking at his friends thinking it was nice not being alone like he was as a kid. Here they were a bit like him people that liked games and didn't think he was weird. He felt calm with them opening up to them a bit.

"Hey how about we go make some cash while Keita's buying the house. Since we are buying a house we will need some cash to make up all that was wasted."

"Will we buy furniture?" Sachi asked her friend sounding excited about the idea.

"You guys want to go up to the dungeon?"

Kirito and Yoake faces switched to concern at the new idea that was asked.

"Wouldn't our usual hunting grounds be better?"

"Kirito is right, it seems kind of wrong to for a dungeon when what we have been doing has been working. It seems kind of risk don't you think?" Yoake said trying to back up his friends.

Sachi looked at them thinking over the idea and thought they might be right about staying to the grounds but.

"We can make everything back faster if we do it above."

"At our levels we will be fine, beside we got you and Yoake if we get in trouble."

They both wanted to argue but they couldn't. they just agreed to get ready to head for the next dungeon in hopes of finding some loot.

Yoake walked over the towns fountain and took a seat on one of the benches and was waiting for the group to get their things. he just opened his screen and wrote a small message and sent it waiting for a response. it did take long for a message to reappear. with the name. message from Lisbeth

Yoake whats up did you need something?

not really i just wanted to talk since i got a bad feeling a few minutes ago and i dont know why. so i thought you might be in trouble or something.

really? so you worried about me? that's sweet of you.

Yoake didn't mean it to sound that way but he mist have said it wrong.

anyway i'm glade your ok i haven't talked to you in awhile so i also wanted to check up on you. hows your blacksmiths coming along?

its coming along very well my other skills have also improved. it's thanks to my friends help that i got the idea to save to but a small place so i can continue my work. i have already made some top gear for my party. Because of that the money they would spend buying new weapons they pay since i give them a good deal on reapireing and making them better.

as he was about to write back he heard Kiritos voice.

Yoake where leavinf you coming or not?

sorry but i have to go Lisbeth i hope i can talk again later. i have to go explore a dungeon with my group.

a dungeon? be careful then a lot of players have been lost this month along with others this year.

dont worry about me i'm not dumb enough to get my self killed. have to go may we meet again some day soon.

Yoake just sighed as he stood up and stretched a little and just thought about his last message.

"wonder if i will see her again? last time we talked was a week ago when she told me she was on floor 17 with her friends getting some stuff for new gear. man i really need her to fix up my sword as well."

he walked over to Kirito who just told them he was about to left behind.

Floor 28 June 12 202

Kirito was walking next to Sachi who was holding her shield at the ready as he looked to Yoake who was walking a bit front of him with his hand at the ready's encase anything happen. He noticed that he looked a bit tenses but didn't know why. He wanted to ask him was wrong but was brought out of thought.

"I told you we'd have no problem."

"We might be almost at the front lines"

"Heck yea!."

"You guys seem to be in good spirits don't lower your guard until we are out here yet." Yoake told his friends a small smile. He couldn't get the feeling something was going to happen. When he had woken up he thought he felt someone's touch but then the feeling was replaced with something. He didn't know what it was or if he wanted to know what it was. He always got this feeling when something bad was going to happen to him or his friends.

"I really hope I am wrong about this feeling. Should I have told Kirito? No this would make him worry about like me he has enough problems with being a beater. then again he probably already knows something is up since he has a knack for dangerous areas since he played the beta" He shook his head and saw they had stopped near a wall. He saw his friend put his hand on it and was surprised when it opened it showing a hidden door.

"A hidden door?" Kirito thought as he looked over to Yoake who looked at him wondering if he knew about this door. He shook his head making him worry even more. The door opened showing a small room with a chest.

"A treasure chest!"

A nurse was looking over the bodies in the room checking their vitals making sure they were all comfortable. As she was about to leave and go to the next room. she heard a sound and suddenly heard voices. She heard the sounds of people cheering and then.

"WAIT! Don't go in there!"

She was startled by the sound and looked at around for the source of the sound thinking one of the people had woken up. she saw a small light on a bed and saw a screen on. She ran to the bed and saw the Patients name and knew who it was.

"I need to tell his sister. I know what it mean when the screen when it turns on. I have seen it to many times."

Akira and her brother friends where talking to Suguha trying to get to know her since she was the crush of her brother. They had found a lot about her and the time she spent with her brother. In turn she wanted to know what her friend was doing with his life. As they continued their talk a sudden voice made them all pale.

"AKIRA YOSHII TO YOUR BROTHERS ROOM Immediately!"

They just left the cafeteria running towards Akihisa room fearing the worst. When they arrived they saw their fears confirmed when they saw his screen on.

"What happen to my brother?!"

"I don't know I was checking everyone's vitals and I heard his screen turn on. It isn't time yet right?"

Akira didn't answer her as she garbed the screen and saw her brother running into a room that was red with an alarm going off. Suguha looked over Akira and gasped when she saw her brother and her friend looking around the room each with a worried look on their face.

"It's my brother!"

Back in sao

"They were standing still looking around them as doors began to open as golems appeared out of nowhere. They looked around and saw they were all surrounded in a matter of seconds.

"IT'S A TRAP! Kirito yelled as he and everyone pulled out there weapons ready to fight. Everyone, we need to get out of here now!"

They all pulled out their teleport crystals and got closer as the monsters moved in on them.

"Teleport: taft! Huh? Teleport: Taft!" Yelled one of the party members in a panic trying to escape but nothing happen they all brought out their own crystals and started shouting trying to teleport out of the room. But nothing happen.

"Why wont they get out?!" Mizuki yelled but got the girl they saw in the game asked the same thing.

"We can't use our crystals!" Sachi said sounding worried as the monsters closed in on them.

"This must be a Crystal-nullification area?!" Kirito yelled in a panic as Yoake yelled.

"Why the hell would an area like that be here? I thought it wouldn't appear until the higher dungeons?!"

Kirito couldn't answer as the monsters charged at them. He stood his ground by Sachi and the others as Yoake did the same taking on the incoming horde of monsters. Kirito and Yoake did their best to keep the monster s away taking down one after another. Yoake just called out to his friend but used his real name either by mistake or out of fear.

"Dammit! Kazuto, there just no end to them!"

Everyone's attention was drawn to a yell. They looked over and saw one of their friends on the ground. Yoake ran over to him but was too late as all they all heard was a yell he was being struck with pickaxes. Yoake just stared looking at the site ahead of him it was the first time he saw what looked blood coming from his friend. He had known if your hp had reached zero you would die and all the pain you felt was real but he always wondered how he would feel seeing someone die in front of you.

"Yoake!"

Kirito ran to his friend and managed to block a hit that was aiming for his head.

"Keep your focus we don't have time to."

"Ahhh!"

They both looked over and saw another one of their friends slain and saw him disappear.

"Tetsuo!"

"You bastard!" Yelled his friend as he ran powering up his spear hitting the golem but with no affect.

"No!"

Yoake ran over to him trying to save him taking out a few golems in his path but again he was too late as he saw his friend killed in front of him.

"No!"

Yoake heard Kirito yell and turned and saw him start to take down as many golems as he could. He only gripped his sword started to do the same seeing as they only had one party member left. They kept on attacking not caring about the damage they were getting from the monsters that were managing to hit them.

Kirito continued to slay many monsters but he saw they kept coming and heard a slight yell and turned. To see Sachi trying to fend off one of the golems. He killed the golem in front of him not seeing his friend pass him.

"Sachi!"

"Kirito!"

Sachi! He only called her name out again reaching for her but found his path blocked by another golem. Kirito saw her push a golem away and reach for him. His eyes widen in fear as he saw a a pickaxe monster about to hit her. He didn't see it nor did she no one saw it coming.

"I wont let you!"

Yoake ran past a few monsters killing a few and pushed Sachi towards Kirito who managed to catch her but then heard a painful yell.

"Ahhhh!"

"AKIHISA!"

Kirito eyes widen in a panic as he saw his friend get hit in the back with a pickaxe causing him to fall on the ground in pain. The monsters seemed to ignore him and Sachi and went for the easy target.

"No!"

Kirito rose form the ground and picked up his sword and ran at the monsters killing the ones around him before heading to help his friend. Sachi looked in fear as she Yoake being stabbed over, over again as he lay on the ground taking all the hit she saw his hp slowly dropping little by little.

"He must be at the same level as Kirito-kun to still be alive."

She tried standing up to help Kirito and Yoake but she was struck with fear she had lost her friends and was close to losing another one.

"Ahhhhhh!"

She heard Yoake yell in pain as his hp was nearing its end but she saw Kirito break through group on top of him and managed to save his friend who was trying to crawl away but didn't get far as he just laid on the ground. She crawled over to him and heard heavy breathing coming from him.

"Yoake?" She tried speaking to him but did get an answer as she saw his hp continued to lower.

Sachi looked up and saw Kirito standing above them with wide eyes looking at Yoake who didn't move. If it wasn't for the heavy breathing they would think he was dead. She heard Kirito just say a name she was unfamiliar with. Sachi looked around saw the room was now empty.

She huddled into a ball and cried tears trying to comprehend everything losing her friends and even Yoake. She heard coughing and looked over to Yoake who looked to be in pain as his hand reaching forward.

"Yoake!" Hang on your not dead yet.

Kirito pulled out one of his healing bottles and helped his friend sit up and drink it. He saw his hp recovery a bit earning a small sigh of relief form him as Yoake spoke.

"Looks like I got hurt bad."

"You think!? What the hell where you thinking?!" Kirito yelled at him in rage.

"I wasn't." was all he said with a weak smile.

"Huh?"

"Heheh I don't tend to think when I see my friend's in danger. But I couldn't save anyone else but her, I thought I would be ok considering how my level is but looks like I was a bit right. Still didn't think it would turn out like this." Yoake he said as he closed his eyes.

Kirito began punching the floor just saying dammit with tears in his eyes. He kept punching it close to letting tears fall as he had almost lost his best friend along with Sachi but what good would being happy be? He still couldn't do anything for the others. So why should he be happy? He just heard Sachi continue to cry as the room changed back to normal causing the remaining three to glow gaining exp from the fight.

"DAMMIT! WHY?! WHY DID THIS HAPPEN!?"

Outside Sao

Akira only held the screen with fear as she looked her brother's stats that read warning health is near its end. Damage to player is critical amount of damage before death unknown player stats alive. guild stats 3 members alive. guide leader, Kazuto, and Sachi. Error, error screen has been used before the recharge time was complete, error system will shut down until reason for this is determined further access of the screen will be terminated until given access again by proper owner.

"Wait what?! No!" she yelled as she saw the screen change one final time to her brother being helped up by his friend before the screen went dark. The screen green light changed to yellow instead of red. She grew worried as she heard her brothers friends start to ask her what was wrong with the screen and if he was ok.

"Akira what happen? Why did the screen go black?" Suguha asked worried about her brother and her friend Akihisa.

"I don't know the screen wont turn on but why? Huh?"

The next moment the screen turned on show the very same person that given her the screen on day one.

"Well, well, it seems like you did a bit of rule breaking. Using the screen when it wasn't even ready. You do realize we have rule for peoples own good breaking it after we gave it to you to check on your family."

"But we didn't use it, it turned on by itself and you know something done you? Every time the screen it sturns on by its self its when it shows our loved ones near death!?"

"Hmmmm, now that's strange why would that happen?" He said with a dark smile as they noticed behind him where other people on computers but what made them pale was that they heard faint screams.

"What's that noise?"

"Oh nothing just doing a little reashers gathering. But it seems your friend is alive don't worry I'll come by soon to fix the screen since it looks like it will need to be adjusted since it seems to have a malfunction of some sorts."

"How soon is soon?" Suguha wanting to know as she saw the man looking through his notes.

"Not sure when I have time. So for now I bid all of you Farwell I have reashcer to do and look on the bright side. Now you wont be able to see anything bad happen to him so cheer up."

He smiled as the screen shut off leaving everyone with a small amount of hate for him. they could only stay silent wondering if Akihisa was ok. Suguha just moved her hand to her chest and thought about what she saw seeing her brother lose himself over seeing their friend hurt but also seeing his other friends killed in front of him.

"Brother…."

Well I said I would update faster if my poll got voted on and well it did loks like my cross overs are winning. Not that, that is a bad thing. Well what do you think? Yes I spared her and I am sticking with it. I realize that I might alott and I mean alotttt of hate for doing it. anyway this chapter moved things along a bit but next chapter will moved a lot more but I bet some are thinking wait if she is alive then what reason will they have for going for the revie item? Well lets just say I might have them go for it but a certain event will be changed.

Whats deal with the work who controls the screen and why is he doing researcher on peoples deaths? Is it really part of the makers plan or are they watching for laughs as for Kiritos sis yes I made her make an appearance and meet yoshiis friend but why? Was it to get her more screen time or do I have something planned for her.

As I said in the beginning I am working on other fics as mentioned I hope you all check them out when they are up. I just like doing fics with Akihisa since he can be made with any girl I think. The next chapter of this fic will be worked on as soon as I can do it,
