The titans where doing their daily routines in the titans T Tower, Cyborg and beast boy where on the game console occasionally shouting at each other when the game got to heated, Starfire was also caught up in the game as she cheered the winner of each game. Robin sat at the dining table listen to his music, while Raven sat in her room meditating.
That's is until the alarm sounded "Titans we got trouble" the boy wonder said as he ran over to large TV and switched channels to show what set off the alarm.
"Oh man, I was about to beat him", beast boy folded his arm as his metal friend only smiled.
"HA HA, maybe next time BB but until then I am still the champ", Cyborg couldn't help but tease. They then heard the door to the common room slide open, they turned to see Raven with her cape wrapped around her body waiting for instructions.
"Right guys it looks like we're going to be up against Cinderblock", they nodded their heads in understanding.
"huh how many times do we need to throw this guy in jail before he finally gives up and that another thing how dose he keep on escaping from there", Beast boy was now shouting expecting to get some answer.
"Maybe because jail isn't made for super villains" Raven said with a bit of sarcasm in her voice before everybody decide to moving out.
IN THE CITY
They all reached Cinderblock location in the T-Car when they saw him walking in front of them. Everybody waited for Robin's signal "Titans Go", the spiky haired leader shouted and without a second thought they exited the car.
Starfire was the first to attack with her starbolt given a direct hit to his head causing him to stop in his tracks and swing at her she was able to dodge most of the concrete man's punches. As he started to get closer Cyborg uses sonic blast just before Cinderblock could grab her causing him to run at Cyborg "Thank you, friend Cyborg you help was most appreciated"
"Never mind that Starfire thank him later", Robin scolded his alien teammate, while he jumped in front of Cinderblock bo-staff in hand pushing his enemy back away from the metal man, this gave beast boy a chance to turn into a rhino and deliver a hard blow to cinderblock side causing him to fall. Before he could get back up Raven saw it as her opportunity to deal the final blow picking up a couple of cars throwing them at him each one giving him a hard blow to the head that made sure he wasn't getting back up.
"Booyah!", Cyborg shouted high fiving his green teammate "now who's up for pizza? I think we earned it and plus it just round the corner", three of the titans agreed without hesitation.
"I think I'll pass", Raven said sounding board
"Come on Raven", Beast Boy wrapped his arm around her and received on of her famous death stare's "Come on I'll let you have a slice of my tofu pizza", he smiled at her hoping it would tempt her.
"Oh that sound so tempting", her voice full of sarcasm "I really just want to get home and meditate"
Before anyone could say anything else Robin cut in "well if your sure but you know where to find us if you change your mind", truth is she was actually feeling a bit uneasy today. Raven watched as they walked in the direction of the pizza place.
Raven was about to teleport back to the tower but a scream for help stopped her, the voice sounded like it came from a woman, she turned around expecting to see her team but in stead there was no one there. She sighed "I guess I'm on my own on this one."
Raven quickly flew to the area where the cry for help, she looked around trying to find if there was any danger around but nothing. She thought it was just someone messing around `seriously`, she thought but before she could leave she heard another cry for help.
Flying towards the woman with brown hair who was waving her hands at raven trying to get her attention, "what's wrong?", Raven eyed her surroundings but she couldn't see anything out of the ordinary, she just sensed there was something wrong as if someone was watching her.
The woman quickly calmed herself down and answered the female titan "He stole my bag", Raven raised an eyebrow.
"Well call the cops then I've got better things to do than deal with petty criminals", she turned to walk away but felt something grab her cloak "Hey what do you think your doing?" raven glared at the woman
"What's the point in me phoning the cops when you're already here and by the time they arrive he will be long go", Raven sighed in defeat.
"Fine then what way did he go?", the women pointed to a dark ally, which caused Raven to roll her eyes as she flow in to the dark ally.
She hovered just at the entrance waiting for her eyes to adjust to the dark, she might spend most of her life in the dark but that dose not mean her eyes where used to it.
She finally started making her way deeper into the ally `I really don't want to be here`, for some reason there a nagging feeling at the back of her head telling her to get out of the ally, but she knew she couldn't after all she was a titan and she really didn't want to hear Robin giving her a lecture on how it doesn't matter on the type of criminal if someone needs help they can't ignore anybody.
Raven finally snapped out of her thought to realize she had reached the end of the ally to find it was a dead end "great", she sighed as she was about to exit the ally she sensed someone near her. Turning around to where she sensed the presence. "Right come out, I really don't want to be dealing with something as stupid as a stolen bag so hand it over", as she spoke three figures came into view.
Her eyes widened she recognized those three figures they where slade's robots, she walked a couple of steps backwards towards the exit of the ally but something stopped her in her tracks as she slowly turned around she saw one eye staring back at her "Slade!", she tried to jump away from him but he grabbed her before she could forcing her arms to stay by her side.
"Hello my dear Raven", his grip tightened as she struggled against him.
"Azarath Metrion Zin…", she was cut of by the sound of slade voice's
"I wouldn't do that if I were you Raven", he forced her to look up in the direction of his robots who where now aiming three guns at her, she had no other choice but to stay silent for now.
Slade laughed at her as she tensed up "dose this brings back memory's Raven", he whispered into her ear "after all this reminds me of your birthday", Raven gritted her teeth as he spoke.
"What do you want Slade?", her voice was sharp as she spoke, slade just laughed which caused Raven to snap at him "what so funny", she noticed that the three robots where getting ready to shoot as she clenched her fists.
"Are you losing your temper?", she paused for a second knowing he was right, she had to calm herself unclenching her fists before taking a deep breath "why don't you let your rage out?", Raven didn't answer thinking it was the most stupid question she has every heard "Raven join me then you won't need to fear your powers every again, you'll break bonds with those you call friends you wont need to worry about how they think off you".
"I won't do it, these people care for me why would I want to help you destroy them."
"They care for you? In there eyes your just a demon someone who only brings destruction after all isn't that why Beast Boy told Terra your secret", she looked down "the truth is Raven they are just waiting for you to lose it, your just under their supervision they don't care what happens to you. Why would they even consider you as a friend when all you do is get in the way when you lose control how many times do they need to check up on you? Do you think it's because they want to make sure your okay, no it because they want to make sure you don't leave."
"Stop it", her voices was low "you don't know what you're talking about, you don't know them", she growled, she closed her eyes trying to ignore him. She felt his grip loosen as she fell to her knees in disbelieve. Slade turned to walk out the ally.
"And Raven I will be back to find out your answer", she clenched her fist her head hung low before she made the choices of not letting him get away. She launched at him her hands covered in a dark aura.
"Why don't you just leave me alone?", she managed to get him off guard as her fist connected to his face as he looked back to answer her question, the force of the punch sent him flying into the brick wall, "Azarath Metrion ZINTHOS" she pulled a large part of the building of so she could try and crush him with it but he managed to jump out of the way of the concrete falling towards him, causing a loud crashing sound.
As she went in for another attack she was stopped by a loud gunshot then a pain in her back that forced her to fall to the ground she tried to push herself of the ground but it was no use it was just to painful to move. Slade started walking towards her crouching down to her as she fought to stay conscious "Because this world only deserves to stay in darkness and who better to help me achieve that than Trigon's own daughter", as he spoke his final words she lost her fight as her eyes fell into unconsciousness, "I will see you around Raven", the man spoke as he continued out of the ally.
TITANS
The titans arrived at the pizza place not long after departing from Raven "lets get the meat lover", Cyborg stared at the menu with star in his eyes.
"Dude no way, let get the tofu one", Beast Boy took the menu from Cyborg showing him with determined eyes.
Starfire ignored them as he spoke to robin "Robin do you think Ravens will be okay", worry in her voice.
"Yeah she'll be fine she just wants to be alone right now", Robin trying to reassure his friends.
"Yeah star you know Raven she not the most sociable person in the world she probably", Beast Boy interrupting their conversation while ignoring Cyborg insults.
10 minutes later
The Titans pizza had just arrived as they where getting ready to settle down to eat half meat lover and half tofu pizza they where interrupted by aloud crashing sound. They look at each other.
"Oh man", Cyborg groaned he look at Robin knowing exactly what he was going to say he quickly spoke again making sure Robin didn't speak "wait, wait , why don't we ask Raven to go to the security cameras and ask her to check it out after all it might be something the cops can handle", Robin thought for a moment.
"Okay but don't get to comfortable I don't think that sound like something the cops can handle", he pulled out his communicator trying to get in contact to they're friend "that weird she not answering maybe she meditating", Cyborg sighed knowing they now had no choice "come on lets go", Robin ordered.
At the scene
The Titans looked around not seeing anything out of the ordinary until Starfire point something out "I do not think that building should be like that", they all looked to see a hole in the building. Running over to investigate as they came to the alleyway they slowly looked around.
"I wander what happened here", Cyborg walked a bit deeper into the ally.
"Whatever it was it seems like it gone now", Robin looked closer at the pile of cerement on the ground, while Beast Boy kicked a stone.
"Guys over here quickly", Cyborg sounded panicked, they rushed down the ally to see Cyborg staring in shock "Guy there a reason Raven didn't pick up", there eyes finally reached a young girl with a blue cloak covering her the cloak had blood stains on the back of it.
"RAVEN", Beast boy was the first to run to her while the rest stood in shock, Starfire was close to tears as the rest of the team joined Beast Boy how was now holding raven in his arm "Cyborg is she okay?", Beast Boy looked up to him
"Well it looks like she stopped the bleeding herself, so that means she already started healing herself as long as she gets some rest she should be fine", Beast Boy Smiled with Relief.
"I wonder what happened to friend Raven", Starfire eyes not leaving her friend who was now getting carried by Beast Boy.
"Right we'll need to get her back to the Tower", Robin smashed his fist into his palm "Then we'll find out who done this."
