The dining room became dead silent as Eddie stormed to his room. Everyone looked around the room while they tried to break the awkward silence.

"That was..." Mara said, holding out her words, trying to think of something to say.

"Unexpected? Weird? Scary?" Amber finishes. Everyone nods their head. "And where did that speech come from Fabian?"

Fabian shrugged his shoulders. "I just got annoyed and a bit angry I guess."

"Remind me never to get you angry, or else you'll turn into the Hulk."Alfie said, causing the group to smile.

"Should-should we talk to them?" Mara asked quietly.

"I guess, but who's gonna talk to Patricia? She a ticking bomb right now. One wrong word and boom!" Nina said.

"Joy?" Mara suggested

"Oh no. Trust me, even Patricia won't let me talk to her. I've already tried."

"Well, who's gonna talk to her? None of us are on the "personal" level with her." said Trish.

There was a short silence before someone decided to speak up.

"I'll go talk to her" said Ally.

"What? Ally, are you crazy?" Austin said to her.

"You know she'll rip your head off with her bare hands, right?" said Alfie. Ally nodded her head as she stood up from the table.

"See you on the other side then." said Jerome as Ally turned around the corner, leaving the dining room.

There was a quiet knock on the door to Patricia's bedroom.

"Joy, if that's you, please go away." Patricia said in an uneasy tone. The door swung open to reveal Ally.

"Good thing I'm not Joy."

"What do you want?" Patricia said harshly. She pulled her knees into her chest, and sat upright on her bed.

"I just want to talk to you." Ally said, making her way to the foot of the bed.

"Well I don't want to talk to you. So go away, now"

"Patricia please just listen to me, i know how you feel-"

"Don't you dare say that you know how I feel. You don't know a thing about me, so you don't have the right to say that you know how I feel." said Patricia.

"You're right. I don't know a thing about you. But do you know a thing about me?" Ally asked.

"I'm Ally Dawson. I'm from America. My boyfriend is the famous Austin Moon, and I'm perfect. I have a perfect little family, perfect at school, perfect at everything" Patricia said in a high voice, mocking Ally.

Ally kept a straight face. "Good job, you got almost none of that right."

"Oh I'm sorry, did I miss something? Did I forget that you're a perfect daughter? Perfect girlfriend? Please tell me what I missed."

"'Perfect family'. If only. My mom is in Africa, and I only see her once, maybe twice if I'm lucky, a year. My dad barley remembers I exist. He's gone all the time, never tells me where he's going, makes me run his shop because he's too lazy to do it himself, and on the day that I left to come here, he wasn't there because he had something more important to do than to say goodbye to his own daughter. I have to be perfect at school, or else my dad would kill me. He cares so much about his shop that he doesn't want to pay for college. It's either I get a scholarship or pay for it myself. So yeah you already got two wrong, do you want me to keep going? Because my life is pretty messed up" Ally snapped. Patricia stayed silent for a moment.

"Okay fine, I don't know you. But you still don't know how I feel." She said.

"Then tell me how you feel."

"Why would I tell you?" She asked.

"Because I'll listen."

Patricia stared at Ally for a while, trying to think of something to say, before looking at the floor. She sighed and she looked back at Ally.

"You're scared." Ally whispered.

"What?"

"You're scared." Ally said, louder.

"How do you know that? I didn't say anything."

"Because I can see it. I thought Fabian was just saying it, but he's right."

"Ok fine. I'm scared." Patricia admitted.

"Patricia, what are you so scared of? Please tell me." Ally pleaded.

"Ha-have you ever loved someone? And then out of nowhere, they just leave?" She asked in a small voice, looking at the ground.

Ally nodded

"That's what I'm afraid of." Patricia confessed. She felt a huge weight come off her shoulders after she said those words. She lifted her head and looked at Ally.

"That's why you kept picking fights. You were falling for him and you needed a reason to get rid of him before he broke your heart." Ally said. Patricia nodded.

"Yeah, but you're lucky. You have Austin, and he's clearly head over heels for you." Patricia said, taking a seat on her bed.

"Well, who said I didn't have the same fear as you." Ally said as she took a seat next to Patricia.

"Is this going to involve a back story?" Patricia asked.

Ally laughed. "Yes, but I'll make it short. Let's see, I love my mom, but she left. I love my dad, but he forgets I exist. I dated this guy once, and it was for a long time. Almost a year. I loved him, and I thought he loved me too. Week before our 1 year anniversary, I found out he was cheating on me for 10 months."

"That's harsh." Patricia said.

"It was. Cried for a week. It wasn't pretty." Ally said laughing.

"Something like that happened to me too." Patricia said. Ally waited for her to continue the story, but she was silent.

"So what happened?" Ally asked.

"I'm not going to tell you."

"That's not fair, I deserve it. I told you my breakup story, now you need to tell me yours." Ally said

"His name was Ethan."

"Hot? Athletic? Tall? Ginger?" Ally asked.

"Ginger? Why would you ask if he was ginger?"

"Because Ethan sounds like a name of a ginger. So, was he a ginger?"

"...yes."

"I knew it!"

Austin paced the living room, playing with his dog tag and biting his nails at the same time. He was worried. He and Ally had only started dating that day, but they had been best friends for a long time, and the idea of Ally being in the same room with someone who wanted her dead scared him to death.

"Austin would you please sit down? I'm trying to study." said Mara from the couch. Amber agreed, complaining that he was creating a draft. Austin sat in a chair on the other side of the coffee table. Then his foot started tapping. And he began to bite his nails and play with his dog tag, again.

"Mate, calm down." said Alfie.

"Yea, I'm sure Ally's fine. Maybe, if we're lucky, she won't be dead." Jerome said, smiling.

Austin opened his mouth to say something when he heard footsteps coming for the stairs and...laughing? No, that couldn't be right. But Ally and Patricia walked into the living room, side by side, laughing.

"Oh, hey guys." said Ally.

"Um...what happened between you two?" said Austin, clearly surprised. "Less than an hour ago you," he pointed to Patricia,"wanted to kill her."

"Well, that was before how similar Ally and I were." Patricia said.

"You and Ally, similar? Oh that's rich." Jerome said shaking his head. Patricia sent a death glare at him before turning back to the group.

"So your friends now?" Amber said uncertain.

"More like best friends" said Ally.

"Alfie falls off his chair in amazement" Alfie fell face first on the floor, earning odd looks from Austin and Ally.

Eddie was on his bed, throwing his small rubber basketball in the air with big bulky headphones on.

He was done. He was done fighting with Patricia. He didn't understand why she always acted like that. Constantly jealous over every little thing. Talking to another girl equals a yell from Patricia. Being friends with a girl meant a fight with Patricia. Why couldn't she see that the only person he wanted to be with was her? Why was she so damn stubborn?

There was a knock at his door.

"Eddie? Eddie it's me, Ally. Can I come in?"

He sighed. He didn't feel like talking to anyone right now. Not even Ally. But he gave in.

"It's open." He yelled.

Ally poked her head in the room.

"Hey"

"Hi" Eddie deadpanned.

"How are you feeling?"

"Been better, been worse"

"Well I have something that will hopefully cheer you up." Ally opened the door wider and walked in. Eddie sat up when he saw Patricia walk in behind her.

"What is she doing here?" Eddied asked as soon as he saw her.

"Well hello to you too." Patricia said.

"Eddie, just give her a moment to explain. Okay?"

Eddie looked unsure, but as much as he wanted to, he couldn't say no.

"Okay"

"Great." Ally said. She turned to Patricia. "Just tell him exactly what you told me." She whispered in her ear before leaving the room. The last thing she heard was Eddie asking why Patricia wasn't slicing her head off.
