Writing isn't that much fun as it used to be. I wonder what happened. Oh, I know. Freaking writer's block.

I'm working on so many stories right now! Fanfiction, Wattpad, and my own desktop. That's about...1 ... 2... 3... 4! Four stories! Guys, come on!

Hey, I need an editor, or a critic for a (real, non-fiction) story. Someone who totally hates me, and could detect my flaws at first glance. Please? I'll be your best friend.

Being an good author sometimes means being able to overcome the frustrations of lethologica (See? Even my computer has a red line to indicate he forgot that word).

Challenge: Find one sentence that starts with suddenly, and ends with its root-word.

"Are you going to eat that?"

Simon Jr. lowered his head to the younger chipmunk walking alongside him and his brother. Her fur seemed to glow brighter under the morning sun, and her eyes gleamed at the sight of the chocolate bar he was about to open.

He narrowed his eyes at her. "Am I going to eat this? You've had four before we left, and four more on the road." They were on their way back to the forest, ready to return to their trees, and to give Lily back to her sister. He should probably expect some overprotective, paranoid yelling about when they got there. And maybe he should prepare a long, sharp stick, just in case.

Lily crossed her arms over her chest. "Well, don't blame me for liking human food. If you weren't going to eat it, might as well let me have it."

"Jeez, does she come with an off button?" J'nell strode at his side, watching Lily in amusement. Then he turned to him. "Ashley's going to kill you, you know. I don't think she can distinguish fat and pregnant. She's probably going for pregnant."

Simon studied the girl for a moment, now pouting at him in disappointment. Like a child. "Dude, she's just a little girl, man. I'd think twice before even thinking about..." His words trailed off, right before his mind screamed hypocrite right into his ears. Yeah, he thought of her last night, guiltily. Nothing inappropriate, but it couldn't be help, especially since the girl just wouldn't stop sleeping next to him, no matter which bed he was in. He shrugged the thoughts of last night away. "Anyways, I brought some ropes. Just in case." He patted the backpack he carried, filled with clothes, and supplies for the long hike.

J'nell laughed. "Knowing Ashley, she'd claw those away before you could even tie her up."

He flashed his brother a snide grin. "Yeah, because only you would dream of tying her up."

"Oh, shut up." Then, Nell gave him a little shove. Well, maybe not so little. Okay, okay, it was a strong push that was enough to throw him to where Lily was walking.

Then, what happened next was all so sudden..., yet all so slow. He heard a sharp yelp when his foot landed on her toes, and then suddenly, they were on the ground. He propped himself up on his elbows, stopping the fall before he could squash her small, slender figure. His body was far apart from squishing hers like a small petal, but their faces..., so close. So close he could smell her chocolate-stained breath, so warm against his face. It smelled good. He noticed the deep, soothing color of her fur, with small crumbs of chocolate stuck in them. Her lips parted. Two, soft, flawless lips, pink in color, and they seem to have no room for roughness or dryness.

His heart beat so fast, that with their distance, he had no doubt Lily could hear it. A breeze blew by. Wait, did it blow by in slow motion? Or was it just the sudden panic he felt being so suddenly close to her. For a moment, he checked himself again, as if in third person. His eyes stared back at hers, gazing in wonder at the depth of those colorful orbs. It was like the entire world was darkness, and it were those responsible for the light, and they were staring back at him. His face was in perfect angle, in perfect alignment, as if one sudden push would bring their lips together. His fur touched hers, and he was suddenly aware she wasn't wearing any clothes.

Yep, definitely panic.

"Ahem!"

A sound made him crane his head back, slowly and awkwardly. J'nell stared down at the both of them, arms crossed over his chest, one eyebrow raised and an amused grin across his face.

"You know, that's the third time I've cleared my throat. No, wait, make that four."

He ignored him and turned his head back to Lily, her body still under his. As he did, his fur slightly brushed against hers. A light touch, but it sent ticklish sparks throughout his cheek. A spark that made him froze and stare more into her radiant violet eyes. He could see his reflection there, in those glistening orbs, staring back at him.

"You're still stepping on my foot." The smooth, innocent tone that would have soothed him only startled him. Then suddenly, he noticed the sharp, stinging pain in his foot, like needles pressing into his skin.

He moved back and looked behind, and found Lily's toe underneath his heel, and her other foot over his, her sharp claws digging into his skin, as if she were trying to push his foot off, but stopped.

Suddenly, something clicked in his head, and suddenly aware of their awkward position, he quickly rolled away, a surprised movement a little too sudden.

"About time," J'nell scoffed.

Simon found himself glaring at his brother. "Oh, you're gonna pay for that," he threatened, his tone showing no evidence of what had just happened. Maybe if he acted it hadn't happened, he would forget it.

Well, easier said than done. He got up and tried to help Lily get on her feet. But as soon as he looked at her, second ago's event came rushing back at him like a typhoon (A/N: #Yolanda).

And even more so when he offered his paw. Once their paws met, the feeling of the touch was overwhelming, and suddenly, he couldn't stop thinking about how close they had been seconds ago. It took all mind power to push that thought out, that he shouldn't be thinking about it since Lily was just... a bit too young. But they kept coming back.

The warmth of her paw in his wasn't helping, either.

He pulled Lily up, and they were both of their feet. She smiled, killing him instantly. "Whew. Thanks."

Then just when an awkward silence was about to follow, he gave a nervous chuckle, ignoring the panicked beats of his heart. "Uh... yeah. N-no problem."

Then, slowly, her smile shifted into something more snide..., mischievous. She held up her other paw. "You don't mind if I take this, do you?" Her paw held up an unwrapped chocolate bar. "You weren't going to eat it, right?"

He looked at the bar of chocolate in her paw, then his sights drifted to her face, where that evil grin seemed to match her perfectly innocent, childlike voice. "I... uh... I was." If it were anyone else, he would have made a bigger protest. But the nervous sensations that rooted his feet to the ground subdued him.

Lily snatched the bar away and hid it behind her, as if an invisible pair of hands might take it from her paws. "Well, too bad. It's mine now. Next time, you should think before stepping on my foot."

Then, just like that, Lily skipped away. No, she didn't walked. She skipped, innocently, as if walking on a public sidewalk, in a place she knew nothing of, posed no harm to her. The sidewalk might be empty, but that didn't mean the road, where cars could pass by at a dangerous speed and blow her away. Or what if a might stop by to unload its passenger, with Lily right in the middle of its path?

"Hey, wait!" He started to go after him, but he felt fingers wrapping around his wrist, pulling him to a stop.

"Ah, ah, ah. You only know you love her when you let her go, right?" J'nell said with a grin.

Simon glared. "Shut up, seriously. Now can we go, before Ashley kills me for letting her little sister get run over?"

"It's early in the morning, Si. No cars yet." He gestured around to prove his point, but Simon still looked at him at an intensifying glare. At the sight of it, J'nell's grin slightly melted. Slightly, before appearing again. "Yeah, we should go. That chocolate could prove dangerous once Ashley blames you for getting her little sister pregnant."

"Oh, shut up." He rolled his eyes, and started after her.

. . . . . . .

Ashley heard her sister wince in pain as she tried to pour a paw full of water into a huge, nasty cut on her shoulder. She looked at her and gave a small "I'm sorry" before trying to wash the wound again. This time, Rose recoiled and stepped back, the water in the lake going from her stomach to her chest.

"D-don't. Don't, please," she pleaded, fear so clear and unhidden in her voice.

Ashley sighed, and led her sister to the shallow part of the lake. She settled her down when the water was on their ankles, and sat down beside her.

Rose was quiet as she pulled her knees to her chest, hiding her face. Ashley couldn't help but notice all the scrapes and wounds all over her - her shoulders, her arms, her chest. Scratches, some of them open and still bleeding, dropping blood into the water, creating a smoky effect as the two substances merged.

Ashley scooted closer and placed a paw on her back, careful not to touch any of the wounds. She sighed. "Rose..." It's been a long time since she heard that name, much less say it. "What has he done to you?"

Rose exhaled, although it sounded more like a sniff. "Things I'd never thought he'd do. Horrible things. Painful." Her voice cracked with every word, every syllable.

She scooted closer to her, the water splashing as she moved. "Why'd you let him do those things to you? You should have left."

She sniffed again. "I tried." She turned to her, her face coming out of hiding. Her long, unkempt hair was the only thing that hid the pain and fear and tears in her eyes. "And failed. Every time. But not because... I couldn't."

"What do you mean?"

Rose turned her face away, and buried them into her knees, as if she couldn't bear to look at her. "He was my mate, Daisy. No matter how... evil and cruel he was, he still took care of me. Took care of me when no one else could."

Hearing this, Ashley frowned, suddenly surprised - and angry - at her answer. "What about us? Did you forget about us, Rose? Lily and I, we love you. We took care of each other, and always had. It was always the three of us, never leaving each other. Why would you choose a single male over us? Why didn't just come back? We would never have treated you badly, or left you. It could have been us again, sisters."

Rose seemed to shrink, her ears melting to the sides of her head. "It's not really for long, is it?"

"What? What's not for long?"

"Us. You might think the three of us would always be forever. But I know that's not true. There used to be four of us, you know? Mom, you, me, Lily. Then mom left, and it's just three. Then, you two are going to find your mates... then..." Her words trailed off... unfinished. Her tone cracked, laced with pain and fear. "I'm scared, Daisy. Of being alone. I'd rather... die than be alone."

As Ashley listened to her, tears began to pool in her eyes. A lump started forming in her throat. Her body threatened to cry. To cry for her. Her sister. "You're never alone, Rose. It's always been the three of us, and that'll never change. Ever. I promise."

A chuckle escaped Rose's throat. But it wasn't a happy one. If anything, it sounded bitter. "I doubted that, you know?" She lifted her head and stared into the lake. "When I had enough of him, when I ran away, I didn't come here for you. I doubted you were even here anymore."

"We're always here. It's our home. It's always been."

"And that's what made things even better for me."

Ashley didn't know what she meant, so she kept quiet and listened.

"Daisy, when I ran away, I... I lost all hope. Living a life filled with pain, no happiness, and my sisters probably nowhere for me to see. So I was really running to nowhere. I didn't know where to go. I was alone..., for days. No Lily, no Daisy, no male who'd scratch me for every single thing I did wrong. Then I thought of home. And this." She held out her arm, her paw gesturing to the calm, serene lake.

"Here? Not our tree?"

She shook her head. "No. I thought of the lake - my favorite place in the world. Calm, peaceful, warm, inviting. It was like my only friend. In all the days I was running, I thought of nothing but here. How lovely it was. How it can be warm when you want it to be, or cool. I even stopped eating, and every water I drank tasted bitter compared to this. For five days, all in my mind was the calm flow of this lake." Her eyes seemed distant as she looked at the calm flow of the lake, how it reflected the early sun like ice in the snow. "All I wanted was to see it again, to touch it, to indulge in it. Just to sink in the sweet, warm water. Just to... drown. Then I'd be happy."

Ashley kept quiet - for a moment until the full realization of what her sister had just said hit her. She gasped. "Drown?!"

Rose didn't answer for a moment. Then, she nodded. "Yes. Drown."

"Rose! Why would you think of doing something like that?!" Ashley thought again, of the possibilities, and consequences. If she hadn't found her sister soon, if she hadn't woken up to the sound... It made her heart ache just thinking about it.

"I had nothing to lose," she simply said. "Nothing. Simply nothing. Just pain, sadness, loneliness. It was horrible."

Ashley pictured her sister falling and sinking deep into the serene water, not moving, not showing any resistance or thought of surfacing. Just... drowning... to die at her own free will.

She quickly pushed the image out of her head. It made her heart ache. Knowing that Rose left them was hard. But knowing she was never coming back was suffocating. She breathed, realizing she'd neglected air, and her lungs begged and ached. A bigger lump formed in her throat, tears started pooling in her eyes, threatening to pour down to her face. And she let them.

She sniffed, her fur suddenly damp with tears and sweat. Without thinking, she threw herself into her sister, wrapping her arms around her, and ignoring the wounds she might have touched. She held her tightly, as if she might stand and jumped into the lake if she did so much as lessen her grip on her.

"Don't you ever do that." Ashley squeezed her sister's body, and the fear of touching her wounds was way past her mind. All she wanted was to hold her. She let go of her once, and the next day, she was gone. That was never going to happen again. She cried into her shoulder, without a care how stupid she looked or sounded, or how many of her tears must have stung Rose's wounds.

All she wanted was to hold. To never lose.

Rose hugged her back, a tight embrace laced with the warmth and love of a sister.

Ashley felt it. Rose's embrace, her tears, her pain that had nothing to do with her cuts, scratches, and bruises. The pain in the heart. Yet, deeper inside it, a part that was left untouched for such a long time - Love. Joy. Relief from the merciless hurts she must have felt at the paws of a male.

"I'm so happy that you found me," Rose said, burying her face into her shoulder.

Ashley welcomed her, hugging her tighter, moving closer, feeling the disturbance in the calm of the sweet, serene waters as she scooted towards her sister. She was so warm, despite the cold fear of losing that had suddenly enveloped her body, chilling her to the bone, stiffing up the ends of her fur.

"I didn't know what I'd do, other than anything but feel pain again. I had enough. Of being lonely, and of always begging for anything that would stop the pain. Then, you found me. I would have died lonely if you hadn't."

Ashley understood her. Dying was forever sleep. Forever sleep meant forever dream. Dying lonely could forever haunt you to death, and your eyes would always be closed in forever sleep, dreaming forever nightmares.

Ashley didn't speak. She didn't want to hear her own voice overlapping her sister's. She wanted to hear her, to know she wasn't just hugging thin air, or that Rose had suddenly breathed her last in her arms. To have that sweet, soothing tone in her ear always. It was different now than it was before, but what it made her feel was always the same. Warmth. The sweetness of her tone soothing, reassuring. The proof she was here, her body alive and resting in her arms, and it would always be.

"Thank you for finding me, Daisy," She sobbed.

Daisy. Daisy.

She hadn't been called that for so long. The name almost sounded foreign in her ears, and the sound itself, the feel of her sister's voice as she mentioned it, formed only a bigger lump in her throat that made it hard to cry. Even hard to breathe. It brought back memories. Happy memories. Running around the field of flowers on the other side of the lake, jumping from one branch to another to see who'd get home to their tree first. Their laughter, her, Rose, and Lily. The innocent teasing. The happiness and comfort of just being in each other's presence, loving each other as sisters would, always together, never alone. Happiness and memories void of sadness, and a bond so strong not even the darkest, harshest feelings could deter.

That had never changed. Their bonds as sisters were still as strong. Had it been a single league weaker, Rose never would have been in her arms. They would never have been crying together, in each other's shoulders, to feel each other's comfort. Rose never would have lived to see them again.

The thought of it chilled Ashley to the bone, and the warmth of the lake did nothing to help, knowing it had been ready to accept her sister's lifeless body into its deep, dark, depths.

Hi, everyone. I've been learning Japane- #NoOneCares,Joe
#*Cries*
#CryaoticMonkey

Okay, I'll cut to the chase (#I'mNotEmoSoIDon'tCut #Sometimes)

I finally found out why I'm so late with my writing. It's just that there are so many things to write, some and most of them unnecessary, and are all jumbled up. So, I'm going to do a different arch each chapter.

Okay, so this story is the LilyXSimonJr. AshleyXJ'Nell arc.

So, next, I'm going to do that SimoneXCarolXJohn arc.

Then next, next chapter, I'm going to do the AllyXStanley arc.

Then next, next, next, chapter, I'm going to do the canon characters' arc (All about the canon Chipmunks). Then after that, I'm going to go back to the LilyXSimonJr. AshleyXJ'Nell arc.

So, in the next chapter, you can expect the Carol Triangle arch.

Hm... Carol Triangle, huh? It sounds like a geometric formula. Carol's love = -Simone + John + (Flowers + Chocolates) to the power of Sibling Rivalries (Romance) - (Mating season + Chances of One Night Stands) and the prediction of possible bad ending to the power of 100.

Anyone who can predict Carol's love using the Carol Triangle Formula will get a special treat from me. Yes, the Carol Triangle isn't over yet! Who will Carol choose? Simone, her mate whom as loyalty decides she cannot betray, or John, his best friend whom as virtues kindness decide she cannot betray. Nevertheless, Carol will be the first ever female to cheat on her mate.
