First of all, I apologize for this late chapter as I always do. This chapter is going to be slightly whack because the original chapter I wrote before got deleted due to my laptop breaking. Meaning, everything got deleted, not just the recent chapter.

PREVIOUSLY:

"What exactly is H-03?" Nami asked.

"…H-03 is a failed experiment my father accidentally created. When I was younger, my father was experimenting a lot… I found out that he's a prodigy in accidentally making deadly artificial diseases… Hehe, he was such a klutz…" Ruri smiled. But the smile soon turned to an emotionless face. "H-03 was the 3rd artificial disease he accidentally created. What H-03 does is that it slowly destroys your heart and decreases blood flow. Eventually, your heart will explode. But the pain itself could kill you before exploding…"

"B-But why me?" Nami panicked. "Why would you inject me with that thing?"

"…Because you're a navigator…"

"Why does that matter?!"

"… Because when I turned 10, my father would store them somewhere but not throw them away. As a 10 year old, I was curious and started playing around with them all. When I told my friend about it, it was supposed to be a secret… But, she told her father who was a pirate and then word got out that my father was making deadly diseases. Since he was always really busy in his hidden lab, everybody was interrogating me asking me where his lab is, wanting to buy them off him. But my father being my father, I knew he would refuse to give it to them anyway so I didn't answer. Eventually, the news got to pirates…" Ruri crossed her arms and started shivering.

"…Ruri…" Nami empathized.

"…And then I got kidnapped. Crew after crew after crew, I just kept getting kidnapped. They kept threatening my dad to give them what they wanted in exchange of getting his own daughter back. But, if he gave it to them, lots more people would die. So, he ignored the fact I was kidnapped. Compared to his own daughter dying against thousands of people dying, really, anyone would've made the same choice."

Nami couldn't keep up; she was sweating, pain stretching not just at her chest but all over her body.

"… Then I-… Nami!" Ruri yelled as Nami breathed faster and fell to the floor as she gripped her chest.

When Ruri bent down to help, she turned in surprise as pirates slammed the door open and swarmed inside the room. But they weren't part of the Strawhats; they were part of a different crew.

"Hah, Ruri. We finally found you." The pirate in front of everyone else smiled showing his ugly teeth. "Tie her up. Tie the other chick up too."

The last thing Nami saw was Ruri jumping in front of Nami to protect her and the pirates attempting to attack her. Then she passed out.

"Wake up. Please. Wake up." Nami told herself.

CHAPTER 8: Pirate with a 1,000,000,000 bounty?!

Nami's head was spinning. Everything was blurry. "Where am I?" She attempted to stand up but every part of her body ached, especially her head.

Even though her vision was still blurry, she could tell she was in a cage of some sort, by herself. But on the other side of the room was the rest of the Strawhats, tied up in sea prism handcuffs, in a cage.

But in the middle of the two cages was Ruri, tied up on a cross, looking as if she was being crucified. She had been cut all over her body and was drenched in her own blood.

As Nami's vision was fully clear, she stared at Ruri in shock as she struggled to get free.

"Ruri!" Nami yelled as she grabbed tightly on the bars of the cage. Her voice caught the attention of the other crew members

"Nami!" They all called out.

"Nami! You're awake! Are you okay?! Did they do anything to you?!" Luffy yelled from across the room in a concerned voice. He was banging against the cage trying to get out. But it kept electrocuting him.

"Luffy, just stop! You're wasting your strength." Zoro stood in front of him to prevent him from continuing.

Luffy scoffed but obeyed.

"Ruri! Are you okay? Can you hear me?" Nami called.

"She's unconscious right now. They tortured her for hours. All we could do was watch. We couldn't help her." Sanji replied.

"Why was Luffy electrocuted when he touched the bars of the cage? But I wasn't?" Nami asked as she just realized.

"The captain of this ship is also a scientist and he's a very smart one too. He knows 5 of us have devil fruit powers, but he doesn't know which one of us has them, so he cuffed all of us in Sea Prism Stone. The remaining 4 don't have devil fruit powers, so the cuffs are a little more useless, so he altered the cage to electrocute anyone who touches the bars. However, he knows that one the non-devil fruit users is you. He also knows that Ruri injected the H-03 into navigators only. I'm guessing he assumed you were our navigator from the Log Pose on your wrist." Robin replied. "Either that or from the fact that you fainted and are showing signs of having knows you're very weak and would be unable to get out of the cage. So he didn't bother altering your cage."

"What does he want from u-"

Before Nami could finish, one of the pirates on the other crew walked in the room and snickered. "Hah, looks like the chick is awake, boss." He yelled.

"Hm, so this is who Ruri injected the H-03 into…She's completely different from what I had in mind. Firstly, I thought it was gonna be a guy." The captain laughed and walked to Nami.

The captain was bald, tall and very intimidating. He looked as though he was about to murder everyone on the ship.

"Welcome missy." He chuckled. "Would you kindly lend me a hand?"

"That's kinda hard, you know, being cuffed and all."

"Well, why don't I show you to another room so you can get comfy, okay? We'll get those cuffs off and everything." He smiled.

"What about my friends? And Ruri! What will you do with Ruri?"

"As you may or may not believe, Ruri is very important to us, especially to me." He replied.

"Is that why she's completely covered in her own blood?!" Nami yelled.

"Aha, so she never told you? Do you know exactly who Ruri is?" The captain paused.

"She's the daughter of that scumbag father who created many failed projects. Then he just abandoned her."

"Uh huh, uh huh, tell me more Nami, you seem to know the whole story." He sarcastically gestured.

"…She injected navigators with one of the failed projects, H-03…"

"And….?"

"She injected me with it?"

"But why, Nami?" The captain paced outside Nami's cage. "Why did she inject navigators only?"

Nami paused. She didn't know. "I passed out before she could tell me..."

"Captain, there are marine ships everywhere. I don't think they've spotted us. We're docking on an island now."

"Tch… We better make this quick then. Now, Nami, are you coming? Or am I going to have to force you?"

"Answer me first," Nami stared him in the eye. She was shaking though. She wasn't sure whether it was from the fear or from the H-03.

The captain blew with rage. He pulled Nami's hair from outside of the cage and banged her head onto the cage.

"Nami!" The Strawhats all stood up.

"If there's one thing I hate, it's being told what to do. Especially by some scrawny little useless girl." The captain threw Nami on the floor by her hair. He unlocked the cage door and dragged Nami by the cuffs.

"Nami!" Zoro seemed to have forgotten about the electric cage and tried running out to save Nami.

"Idiot! Didn't you just tell Luffy off for doing that?" Usopp grabbed Zoro before he reached the cage bars.

"Shoot the cannons, up. Make sure the marines see them. Let them capture this crew."

"Yessir!" A crewmate yelled.

With that, the captain and his crew left the ship.

"How…" Ruri struggled to speak.

"Ruri!" Luffy called out. "Are you okay? I'm sorry we couldn't help you!"

"How do you… know about H-03, Robin…?" Ruri tried to move her head to look up at Robin.

"Your father also an anonymous ghost writer, named Kazu, I'm a big fan really," Robin smiled.

"How do you know that's my father?"

"Kazu is just short for Kazumichi, which is your last name, right? You're Ruri Kazumichi, the famous 15 year old pirate worth 1,000,000,000 Beli, aren't you?" Robin asked.

"1,000,000,000 Beli?!" Luffy repeated in disbelief.

Suddenly, a cannon went off and landed into water.

"Guys, what are we gonna do?" Chopper freaked out running about the cage.

"We're gonna break out," Luffy angrily said.
