~I just want to start out by saying, I AM SOOOOOO SORRY! I got locked out of the email for this account and it wasn't letting me onto my account to do anything because I couldn't confirm the account. Well after that debacle I completely lost interest because I became upset with the website, but now I FINALLY GOT IN, to the randomness of me coming across my own story and knowing I needed to continue it! So, if you are still up for following along, I am going to try to continue this story. Please bear with me, as you all know, it has been a while.~

Chapter 2- I Choose You

As they pulled apart from their kiss and reveled at how great it felt to do that again after over 11 years of being separated, they smiled at one another. Emma couldn't stop the smile pulling at her lips as she looked into his eyes, and same for Neal looking into Emma's beautiful green eyes. They say there for a moment just smiling at each other.

Then Emma let herself think, once that started to happen she jumped back from Neal and was on her feet pacing the foyer of the B&B. She had so many thoughts running through her head now. How did she let herself kiss him? Why was she so happy? Was he just smiling back at her? What were they going to do now? What did she want to happen now? How was she going to explain all of this to Henry?

While she was asking herself all these questions while pacing around, Neal was looking at her like she was crazy. He loved her because of it and he wasn't going to lie, it was amusing. But he knew she had come to a point where she needed to stop stewing with her thoughts and let him in on it.

So he stood from the couch and abruptly put his hands on her shoulders once she turned back to him and it immediately brought her to a halt.

She didn't see him move towards her while she was caught up in her thoughts, so when he stopped her movements it surprised her. Her eyes automatically met his and she let out a deep breath.

"Emma, breath, relax," he said as he let out a breathy chuckle at her actions, "Now stop for a second, and let me in on those crazy jumbled thoughts I know you have flying around in your head right now."

She did as he said and took a deep breath, almost laughing at herself for her actions. She stood up straighter for a moment before she started to try to explain everything going on her head to Neal.

"Neal, what are we doing? Your fiancé just left you, I just let how I honestly feel about you out to myself, I don't know how to do this! You and I, we haven't been together in 11 years! We aren't who we used to be and I refuse to let myself go back to who I was back then. I have grown up, Neal. We both have! I have my family now and Henry, and as much as I have always told myself I didn't need them, I do Neal. How does any of this make sense? There is too much going on to forget about it all and just let this," she motioned between the two of them, "whatever this is, to just happen." She finished her little rant to him and took another deep breath as she closed her eyes for a second gathering her emotions that she just let loose.

He watched her intently as she spoke all of her worries and concerns to him. He understood where it all came from, he knew he better than anyone. He has seen her at some of her highest points and more importantly, some of her lowest points.

He looked into her eyes once she was done and just gave her a small smile before pulling her into a soft and gentle hug. It only lasted a few seconds before her pulled back from her and took in her form before letting his eyes land on hers again and he finally spoke.

"Emma, I love you. I always have and I probably always will. I understand where all of this is coming from, I do. Yes, Tamara just left me, but it was because she even knew how much I loved you, so that isn't a big worry of mine right now. You are right though, 11 years is a long time, and we have both changed, a lot. But I know that even through all these changes, I still love you as much as I did back then and being around you and our boy the past few weeks has only showed me that even though we have both changed a lot, my love for you never has changed, not one bit, Em. Your family is what I have been trying to get you back to since the beginning, which is why I left. So you need them and they need you, Em that's a good thing. As for the kid, I think he would be happy to see his parents together. So no matter what this," he motioned between the two of them just like she just did a few minutes prior, "is, it will all be ok, as long as it is what you want. All I ask is for you to be honest about it all and let those walls that I know you have built up pretty damn high, down so I can be in there with you."

She took in each of his word and after regaining her thought process after his first statement, she knew he was right. Ever her stubborn self, had to admit it, he did make some pretty good points.

What she did next took him by surprise, it was welcomed though. She pushed herself forward and pressed her lips softly against his and kissed him. She let all her love for him flow through that kiss so he never she was in it.

"I love you too, Neal." She said once she pulled away from the kiss. "I knew from the moment that I saw you again in New York, that as much as I had told myself I hated you and had gotten over you, which it all was a bunch of lies, and that I still loved. I think I always have, and there is no doubt in my mind that I probably always will too."

She took his face softly into her hands and smiled at him, he responded by smiling back letting his love for her show right through it.

"It will be difficult, but for us, for Henry, for 'true love', as my mother calls what is between us, I am going to let you in. We can try to give it another go…"

She took a deep breath, as she tore down one of those wall right now in front of him when her next question left her mouth, "We can do this right?" she said to him quietly, full of uncertainty.

He knew she wasn't lying about trying, that question had almost taken him back a bit when he realized how honest she was being with him right now. He then mimicked her earlier actions on took her cheeks softly into his hands and looked deep into her green eyes and saw how fragile she looked after asking it.

"We can do this Em. It's you and me, the way it should have always been. We can do this and even better, we WILL do this." He said this to her in the most stern and certain voice he could muster up.

He wasn't going to lie, he was nervous and had some of the same concerns she did, the only difference is he believed in them 100% and he had no doubt that whatever life through that them, they would come out of it even stronger.

She smiled to him, happy with his answer to her. She took another deep breath and smiled wide at him. "So this is us now right? We are officially trying to be together?" She said as her smile still adorned her features.

He smiled right back at her and nodded, "Yes, Emma, this is us starting off, being a couple again. OFFICIALLY!" he said as he raised his eyebrows at her in his excited manner.

Her smile then turned to a grin as she launched herself back into his arms and kissed him again, this time harder and with so much passion neither of them could barely stand it.

After air became a bit of an issue for them both, they separated, still grinning like children at each other, when Neal said his next sentence, "How about we go tell the boy what he is going to have to look forward to for the rest of his life." He made his statement more pronounced as he leaned in and kissed her lips quickly again.

Emma was excited to tell her son and maybe get a few 'ewww' and 'gross' responses out of him for the next few years of his life every time his parents kissed in front of him.

Next thing Neal knew Emma had grabbed his hand started to pull him out of the B&B and to the apartment, where she knew Henry was there with David and she guessed Mary- Margaret had returned to after she had left her to go talk to Neal quite a while earlier.

Her family was about to find out what they future now held and she couldn't be happier about it.
