I don't own Bleach, or Harry Potter. Enjoy.

Sorry for the way late update. I hate excuses but I was hit with a sickness called writer's block. It seems that my fanfiction immune system was on the fritz.

James was giddy. He was absolutely positively drunk with happiness. Finally, Ichigo could do magic! Not even the fact that the boy almost set James on fire with his first spell could deter him from such a glorious mood. Ichigo could do magic! Now, All the boy needed were some tips and a few tricks of the trade, and he'd be a regular wizard.

Of course, it was all because of James' excellent mentorship. The Soul Society was correct in choosing him for the job. Not even Lily could have done this!

"James, watch out!" It was then that James got a stream of water to the face. Later on when he dried off, James couldn't help but listen to a rather critical part of his mind. That's what you get for thinking your better than your wife. No one can be better than her at this kind of thing.

Sadly, James couldn't help but agree. Which he later realized was odd, considering it was him agreeing with himself. Man, he really wanted to go home.

Ichigo was currently packing, getting ready to head for Hogwarts. As he did so, he made a point to ignore the yelps of pain not but three doors down from him. It was rather obvious that Yoruichi had returned, and Ichigo was keen to stay away from the irritated cat as she extracted her revenge on the shopkeeper. Beside him, Felix himself was wincing every now and then, wondering just what the hell was going on. That, and why the carrot-top wasn't checking things out. Then again, Felix jumped at a particularly loud scream, maybe it was best to just stay out of way.

Ryoshi, who sat in the corner, was peeved. It would seem that the ferret (he refused to see the rodent as anything other than that) would be coming along with him and his master. Of course, the nuisance would be in hiding, but the fact remains. Therefore, Ryoshi was decidedly on a strike of sorts. He refused to land on his master's shoulder; the prime spot for Ryoshi to land. However, Ryoshi thought with narrowed eyes, it would seem his master did not care.

Ichigo suppressed a shudder a the feeling of an evil glare being sent his way. Ichigo wasn't completely stupid, he knew that Ryoshi was pissed about something. But he also knew that the bird stopped using his shoulder as a landing post, much to the teen's relief. He was tired of having those claws dig into his skin and draw blood.

Although, having a pissed owl that won't hesitate to claw his eyes out didn't sound like a good traveling companion. Therefore, it would be wise to cheer the bird up before having said claws scratch his face clean off.

Inside Ichigo's soul, Chisana was as giddy as ever, annoying a certain Hollow to no end. As he stretched out on his side, attempting at getting some shut eye, the brat was hopping about, like some sugar high rabbit.

"Can you believe it? I helped Master! And we're going to a Wizarding school! Aren't you excited? Ne, Shiro-chan?" Choosing to ignore the brat, Shiro hoped that Zangetsu would show up already and distract the her. Why the hell was he the only one dealing with the girl? Where the hell was that good for nothing Zanpakuto?

"Shiro-chan? Are you sleeping?" Chisana sighed. It seemed that Shiro-chan was sleeping, thus not able to answer her questions. So, now what? Chisana sat down, trying to think of something to do, only to remember the other person that resided with her and Shiro-chan. Zangetsu. Maybe he'd play with her!

With this in mind, Chisana got up and went in search for the other soul, not noticing the sigh of relief coming from Shiro. She never played with Zangetsu like she did with Shiro-chan. Chisana wondered just what the spirit was like, would he play tag with her like Shiro-chan? Or would he be more like her master, who only talked to her about magic related things.

Chisana looked all around the town, searching for the male spirit. She had checked every nook and cranny of the inner world, hoping to find Zangetsu, only to come up empty. Shiro-chan seemed to be no help either, he was sleeping and Chisana didn't want to bother him. Sighing, she sat down and crossed her arms.

Just where was he?

"Have everything you need?" Ichigo tried not to snap at the idiotic shopkeeper that yes, he did have everything. He had more than he needed because the man decided to add some more things in the baggage saying, quote, "Just in case." Ichigo made a note to himself to throw out half the things when he got the first chance to. Just as this thought went through his mind, Ichigo saw something else that Urahara was trying to stuff into his trunk.

"Oh hell no!" Ichigo ripped the stuffed animal out of Urahara's hand and glared at the smiling blonde. "There is no way he's coming with me. Its bad enough with the talking ferret and the bloodthirsty owl. This crosses the line." The stuffed animal in his hand started to squirm in his grip.

"Shut up! It's not like I want to be with an idiot like you! I hope that you go die wherever you're going. Then I can have Rukia and Orihime all to myself!" Ichigo glared at Kon, feeling a twitch in his eye. Was that all the stupid pest could think about? Urahara flipped open his fan and hid his face behind it, no doubt smirking in amusement.

"Ichigo, with the disappearance of Avalon there will be Hollows that need slaying. Right now, you're the only one able to take care of them." Ichigo gave Urahara a blank look, not understanding why they need the annoying mod soul to come with them. Urahara resisted a sigh at Ichigo's dense personality.

"You'll need Kon to get inside your body so you can sneak off in your soul form to slay the Hollows." Both Ichigo and Kon suppressed a shiver at how wrong that sounded. By the way Urahara's eyes were twinkling, Ichigo figured that the shopkeeper said it that way on purpose. The bastard loved to unnerve Ichigo.

"Now that we have that settled, you better gather everything up! Oh Yourichi!" Ichigo flinched as a foot suddenly smashed into Urahara's face. Slowly looking up, Ichigo met the irritated face of Shihoin Yoruichi. Suddenly, Ichigo felt the need to get going and to finally start this mission.

"What, is it time to go? Do you actually want my help? Do you really need me this time?" With each word Yoruichi's face got darker and darker. Yes, Ichigo thought to himself, she was still mad and he had better get going. Ichigo hurriedly stuffed the protesting Kon into his bag and grabbed his things, it was time to go.

"No, that's okay. Gotta a plane to catch and all. See ya!" Ichigo ran from the room, grabbing James' arm on the way out. The dark haired man grunted in surprise when he found himself being dragged from the shop without being able to say goodbye.

The plan was to have James see Ichigo off at the airport, and then when he was in England Ichigo would have to find Kings Cross where the Hogwarts Express waited. James had explained that the train was on platform nine and three quarters. When Ichigo asked how in the hell that was possible, the man just smiled and said it was surprise. Ichigo scowled in response.

The two men took a taxi to get to the airport. It was silent save for the odd noise Ryoshi made from his cage in Ichigo's lap. It stayed like that for half the ride, until James spoke up.

"Ichigo, I have a favor to ask of you." Ichigo turned to look at James. The man seemed subdued, which was odd to the teen. Sometimes James had just as much energy as Urahara, which was saying something. The look on his face now didn't set right with Ichigo.

"When I was alive, I was a wizard as you know. I-well, I had a son. His name is Harry. I haven't been in touch with the human world much, and I definitely haven't seen the wizarding world since my death. I'm not allowed, given that it's been barely a decade since I died. My son, he should be in Hogwarts by now, a second year." Ichigo had a feeling that he knew where this was going.

"It's selfish of me, I know. But, while you're there, could you possibly keep an eye out on him? Make sure he's alright and all." James finally looked up from his hands, which were rubbing together in nervousness. Ichigo gave James a blank stare.

"Idiot." James felt his heart drop. He looked back down as he berated himself. Of course the kid would say no. He had a job to do, doing a favor for a stranger like him was too out of the way.

"If that's what's got you so depressed then you're an idiot. You're a parent right? Aren't you allowed to be selfish when it comes to your family? If that's all you wanted then you should've just asked." James' head shot up and he looked at Ichigo in amazement. The teenager was looking out the window with a bored look on his face. Briefly, his eyes shot over at James and the man was floored by the look in them.

"Yeah, I'll look after the kid while I'm there. Don't worry." James felt tears well up in his eyes, but he wiped them away before Ichigo could see them. James didn't know why, but for some reason he couldn't help but trust Ichigo in keeping his son safe. Sirius would call him an emotional twat, James almost laughed at the thought of his old friend.

James couldn't wait to see Lily and tell her about the orange haired teen.

"Shiro-chan, why do you have a sword?" The Hollow resisted the urge to groan; it would only encourage the brat. She would not shut up! It was annoying Shiro to no end! Ever since she gave up on Zangetsu hunting, she began to bother the Hollow. He was on the verge of saying 'screw the King' and murdering the girl right there.

"So I can chop you into little pieces brat." If Chisana heard the venom laced in those words, she didn't show it. Instead, she smiled sweetly at her friend.

"Shiro-chan, why do you look so much like master?" Shiro gritted his teeth together and flexed his hand. Really, the headache his King would give him later was not worth the satisfaction of killing the brat. Shiro figured if he thought that enough times he'd actually believe it.

"Because he has no sense of style and copied off a' me. Now go away brat." Chisana once again did not notice the rising anger of her friend. She continued to speak, unaware of how close to death she was.

"Master said you're a monster, is that true?" Shiro felt something snap within his mind. Jumping up quickly he raised his blade and glared down at the girl and sent out his most terrifying killer intent. He was done with this brat.

"He's right ya' know. I'm a big bad monster. Now get going before I fucking slice you in half." Chisana stared up at Shiro, wide eyed and shocked. Shiro-chan looked so scary. Chisana couldn't believe it.

Shiro felt his eye twitch at the sudden giggle the girl released. What the hell was wrong with this brat? He was a goddamn Hollow! He could rip her in half with his bare hands if he wanted to! He was strong enough to kick that damn King off his high horse and run havoc in the outer world! And she thought he was funny? With a loud roar of anger Shiro brought his hand down, a grin splitting on his face at the thought of seeing the brat bleeding and dead.

Ichigo frowned. What was that? He shook his head, it was probably nothing. More than likely Chisana annoyed Shiro into another game of tag. It didn't matter. He was currently on the Hogwarts Express, staring out the window at all the hustle and bustle of families in the station. Once again he started to regret taking the mission, even if he never had a say in the first place. The whole trip seemed daunting to him, with it being a full school year long and all. Of course, the headache from trying to find the platform wasn't helping out his mood. He had run all over King's Cross looking for it, only to fall through a wall when he leaned against it to take a break, not thinking that the wall was the entrance to the platform.

Not to mention the pure horror of going through the security check at the airport. The looks the people gave him were bad enough with they saw Ryoshi and Felix. Then they saw Kon inside his travel bag through the scanners. A grown boy his age should not be seen with a stuffed lion. The first moment he could, Ichigo would kill Urahara for sending the annoyance with him.

"You know, this place doesn't seem as great as all those wizards say. They always go on an' on about the great Hogwarts. I'm disappointed really." Ichigo sighed at the other pest he had to deal with. Felix had demanded to be let out of his cage the moment they left the airport. When Ichigo denied him, the jarvey had somehow escaped on his own. Ichigo was still trying to figure out how the animal had done it.

"You can't really say that when we're not even there. Besides, what kind of things do they say about the place?" To make matters even worse, Kon had freed himself and decided to buddy up with Felix. Now they were both sitting across from him and talking as if they had known each other for years. Ichigo had a feeling that his headache was not going to leave anytime soon.

"Hm, they say its the best wizard school in Britain, maybe even Europe. All the greatest wizards come from Hogwarts, like the great Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster. Don't know what's so great about him, but everyone acts like he's some king." Ichigo didn't really care about that. He was more interested in what exactly the sorting was about. James had told Ichigo a rather unbelievable story of having to do tests in order to be placed in a house. Ichigo highly doubted that they'd have kids fighting dragons at the age of twelve.

"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit next to you? Everywhere else is taken." Not only Ichigo jumped at the sudden new voice that had entered the cart. Kon, who was about to reply to Felix nearly choked on his words. Felix himself jumped about a foot in the air with all of his hair standing on edge.

At the door was a young girl with wild brown hair and green eyes who was looking at him and the other two with suspicion. Ichigo quickly grabbed Kon by the neck, squeezing lightly to keep him from saying anything as Felix jumped across to Ichigo's bench.

"A-Ah. Uh, I mean yeah." Ichigo cursed the slip up with speaking in his home language. The girl walked inside and sat across from Ichigo. She eyed Kon for a few moments before looking back at Felix, as if she was trying to figure something out. Ichigo started to feel nervous, wondering just what she was thinking.

"I thought that we were only allowed to bring an owl, toad, or cat. Also, is that a charmed doll? If so, what charm is it? It must be advanced, by the way it almost seems as if it's alive." The girl asked, her curious eyes not leaving Kon. Mentally Ichigo was freaking out. With a nervous chuckle Ichigo answered her.

"Uh, yeah. It's my little sister's. She asked me to take it with me this year for luck. I'm not sure as to what charm it is. I'm Ichigo Kurosaki. Who are you?" Ichigo asked, trying to distract her from asking about Felix again.

"I'm Hermione Granger. Now about the ferret-" She started, not noticing the panic rising in Ichigo's eyes. Quickly Ichigo released Kon (not noticing the stuffed lion gasping for air.) and slapped his hand over Felix's mouth before he started to scream at the girl for calling him a ferret.

"W-Well you see Hermione, I uh, um..." Ichigo looked all over the place to find something to distract her, because Ichigo wasn't supposed to have a jarvey. The plan was to sneak him in and have him spy on people during the year. Felix wasn't supposed to be found out. His eyes traveled to the window, which was showing the countryside as the train moved along the tracks. It was then that he saw the weirdest thing.

"Is that a flying car?"
