I know Harry Potter is set in the 90s, but for the purpose of this story, it's set in the present day.

Don't Throw People Out Of The Window When The Fandomly-Obnoxious

"River, are you ok?" Hermione asked, looking at the girl who was lying splayed out on her bed.

"Do I look ok?" River snapped,

"um... what's wrong?"

"Muggle technology doesn't work in this castle!" she yelled,

"so..." Hermione asked,

"don't you know what the day is?" River asked, standing to look the other girl in the eye.

"Um... no,"

"It's the first episode of Sherlock in about a billion years, and I. CAN'T. WATCH. IT." River yelled,

"you can watch it when you go home," Hermione suggested.

River just stared at the other girl, before shaking her head in disbelief.

She clapped her hands and house elf appeared,

"We've had an incident in the Second Year Gryffindor Girls Dormitory. Send your least irritating house elves and Madame Pomfrey. Oh, no-no-no-no, I'm fine. It's the non-fangirl. She's got herself rather badly injured. Oh, a few broken ribs, fractured skull. Suspected punctured lung. She fell out of a window." River told the house elf.

Half an hour later, Madame Pomfrey, the house elves and some of the teachers, were still attempting to save Hermione Granger, who was floating outside the window.
