Here is a little preview of what's to come in SoS7!

Prologue:

The group of friends sat together in the Potter's back garden. They had all come to visit for the week leading up to Mrs Potter's funeral. They all wore black, sombre looking robes and somewhat sad faces. James sighed, it had been such a long day. Most of the guests had gone now. Except for the family's close friends. It had been a beautiful day but James still couldn't believe how quick it had all happened. Dorea Potter had died a week after James had returned home for the summer. It was as if she had waited to say goodbye before dying.

James looked at his friends, "let's do something fun… my mum… she always looked to the future… she was adventurous and courageous… so I think we should give ourselves some resolutions… some goals for this next year… after all it is our last year at Hogwarts – we wouldn't want to waste it."

The Gryffindors nodded as James summoned quills and parchment for them all. They all started writing down their resolutions with a thoughtful determination. James wrote his in a clear, steady hand.

This year I will finally ask Lily to be my girlfriend and this time when I do she will say yes.

This year I will ask Lily Evans to marry me.

This year I will join the Order of the Phoenix.

This year I will come up with at least ten pranks that beat all the other pranks I've ever come up with.

Alice's list read;

This year I will marry Frank!

This year I will be accepted into the auror programme.

This year I will be there for James.

Marlene wrote hers with an arm covering it so no one else could see it;

I will join the order of the phoenix.

I will say yes to Sirius about living together after school.

Remus frowned as he considered his future;

I will try to get a job.

I will join the Order.

I will have more fun with the marauders.

I will tell Kate that I love her.

Peter struggled to write his resolutions;

I will try not to think about Mary.

Frank wrote his quickly;

Marry Alice, get accepted into Auror training, join order.

Sirius took his time, although his handwriting was still incredibly messy;

I will find a way to save my brother.

I will get my own place – hopefully Marley will move in too.

The marauders will be legends.

I will join the order of the phoenix.

Kate's list was short;

I will get my family away from Voldemort.

Lily took time over her list;

This year, if James Potter asks me to be his girlfriend I will say yes.

This year, I will join the Order.

This year, I will pass my N.E.W.T.s with flying colours.

This year, I will tell James Potter I love him.
