Summary: Like iodine on a cut, she cleansed his wounds and healed his pain.
A/N: Sorry, I haven't read past chapter 13, But I've picked up bits and pieces. I'm just waiting for them to come out on manga reader or something. Can't really do Yen Press, no matter how much I want to. Anyway, it's kind of off. Takes place like six months after volume one, I guess. Okay enjoy!

Iodine
She poured the last of the iodine on a cotton ball, and tended to his wounds. He watched as her eyebrows furrowed with concentration. And he was thankful that he came to her and not a school nurse. Not only had he avoided a confrontation about where he was when this occured, he got to see the cutest girl in school fuss over his injuries. Over him.
The moonlight shone off her face, and it startled him. She had the prettiest skin, so soft-looking. He almost looses himself, but is pulled back into reality by Tsugumi pulling on his shirt.
"Other injuries I should-um-know ab b-out." She stuttered the words, and turned three shades of red. He almost feels bad when he pulls of his shirt, making her turn a fourth shade of red. Almost. She gasped.
"Akane-kun-" Akane sighed.
"It's a need to know type of thing, Harudori." he told her sternly, more serious than he's ever been. And he is a pretty serious guy.
"Got-t it." she nodded feverently, as if she was trying to prove she understood.
Akane smiled as she went back to tending his wounds. Really, she was something else entirely. Sure, she wasn't endowed, by any means, but she was beautiful inside and out. Cute and smart. Everything about her made his heart jump. When he proposed, he was half-joking. He would protect from all evil, and go to ends of the earth, fight his way through Hell, to protect her. The more he knew her, the more the feeling grew.
Now the hardest battle he would have to fight was against the two girls who took up all her time.
He sighed and she looked at him curiously. He shook his head, and she gave him a smile before taking care of a cut on his abdomen. It sent shockwaves to his spine.
He honestly didn't think he could love someone so much,
And when her fingers hit his stomach with a bandage, it turned his stomach. He grabbed her hands, making her face him. There went her face. Five shades of red this time.
"Found your goal yet?" He whispers roughly. She shakes her head erractically, and with a quick motion, he pulled her into his lap. She gasped again.
"Akane-kun-n, what ar-re yo-u doing?" she stuttered and he smiled.
"I wasn't joking. .Mine." he touched his nose with hers. They stared at each othe as she processed what he said. Which earned him another shade of red. Akane smirked. All the heartbreak he suffered, she was his iodine.
He closed the distance between them. He could feel her heartbeat in their closeness as he hoped she could feel his. He was serious. She was his.
But when she toppled him, all seriousness went straight out the window. They were both giggling. Leaning back to touch his back against the head board, he pulled her against him, their noses touching. "So will you be mine?" he asked, caressing her face.
She answered him with a kiss.
