Sleeping Beauty: Erin's Story

There was once a king and queen who had a beautiful baby daughter, they called her Erin. When she was born her mother and father held a feast to find their daughter a future husband. There were many kings and queens from other parts of the country with sons who would be suitable for their daughter, apart from one son who was perfect for their daughter.

The king and queen were called the Count royal family whereas the king and queen, who had their daughter Erin, were the Noble royal family. The queen of the Noble family was called Isabella and the king was called William. The queen of the Count's was called Magda, the king was called Arthur and the Count's son was called Vladimir.

After the feast and the Noble's talking to the Counts about letting their daughter marrying the Count's son, the Count's agreed to when Erin turned sixteen their son would meet and they would fall in love and marry. But then it went all terribly wrong…

One night an evil woman called Elizabeta who was desperate for a daughter of her own but never had the chance to have one, kidnapped Erin and locked her up somewhere no one could find her. Now this probably sounds a bit like Rapunzel, but this was different, she knew the Noble family and Count Family and didn't want Erin to marry Vladimir, in fact Vladimir was her own son's half-brother and Arthur 's(Vladimir's father) own son and she wanted Erin to marry him instead, so she kept her locked up until she was sixteen.

Little did she know that when Vladimir turned sixteen himself and wanted to meet the princess herself, looked all around the kingdom for her but never found her.

"Let me out of this room, please!" Erin cried, banging on the room door, "you can't keep me locked up in here forever!" she screamed, tears running down her face. "I SAID LET ME OUT YOU WITCH!" her knees suddenly just stopped working and broke down and then she leant against the door and slid down it, crying so much until there were no tears left at all.

Suddenly the door unlocked and opened and Erin fell back, "Ahh!" she screamed. She looked up and saw a tall boy with dark brown hair look down at her. She glared at him, and he helped her up. She brushed herself down and fixed her hair. He sighed as he looked at her, then looked down.

"I'm sorry about my mum, I don't even know whether to trust her or not anymore." Erin huffed and put her now, quite long blonde hair to the one side, and then she rolled her eyes.

"Whatever Malik, I'm away from my parents, since I've never met them, I don't know if they're even alive, do you know what today is? Hmm, do you? Cause I do. Today was the day I would meet my future husband, and fall in love with him! And if you didn't know I knew that, you must be blind!" she pushed past him and went down into the kitchen where Elizabeta was standing with her back to her. Malik came running down, following her.

"Erin, where are you going?"

"I'm hungry, I need something to eat and then I'm going out Malik, no matter what you or your crazy mother says." Suddenly Elizabeta turned around and glared at her and walked up to her and went to grab her throat but Malik stopped her just in time.

"You little witch, get to your room, right now!" Erin laughed and shook her head.

"No chance, I'm sixteen you have no control over me now, sorry." She pushed Malik who was stopping his mother from getting close to her, off then turned around, went out the door and left the place she knew not as home, but where she was kidnapped and taken to. She was kidnapped because her future husband's, brother's wife wanted Erin to marry her son not her son's half-brother. She also hated the father or her son, because she believed that Arthur killed his brother, when he died of unknown causes. She sighed,

"Well here it goes Erin, you can do this." She muttered to herself, before she started walking and soon started walking into the forest not knowing where she was going. All she knew is that her parents lived in the kingdom castle where that was? She had no idea, but she hoped that she would soon find it.

But little did she know, that because she was kidnapped, when she turned 16 she would be cursed and would have to sleep for 100 years, but she wasn't the only one to not know this, her parents, Vladimir's parents and even Malik didn't know. The only one who knew which was another reason, she wanted Erin to marry Malik, was Elizabeta. She thought that if she fell asleep and she was married then in 100 years when she woke up she would be stuck with her son, whom she was married to.

Now you would think by then Malik would be old and wrinkled but he wouldn't be, because Malik was no human, he was much more than that and then once she was married to him and she woke up, Malik would turn her into something Erin didn't even know existed and had only imagined and heard of in books. What was this thing you ask? It was a vampire. Yes, he kept it quiet, but he and his mother were vampires, and it wasn't long until Erin found out herself.

What she didn't know was that Malik was following her, because he didn't want her to fall into a deep sleep because she didn't deserve a horrible ending she deserved to find her true love that she was supposed to fall and marry when she was older. He suddenly stood in front of her, and she bumped into him, then looked up and realised it was him, she was shocked and quite scared at how and why he got in front of her so quickly, and because of that she screamed.

"What the… how did you get in front of me? You were in the house with your mother!" He held out a hand to her, to help her up and she took it as he helped her up. He looked at her,

"That's kind of a long story, which requires a lot of explanation, and I don't if my mum would allow you to be told, let alone by me, you'll find out soon enough." Erin growled,

"Screw your mum; just bloody well tell me Malik! Tell me what you are, now!" He looked down,

"I want to tell you, but I can't Erin, it's for your own safety, and I don't want you to get hurt, though my mum will tell you what I am because she doesn't care about you at all, that's definitely clear."

"You don't say (!)" she replied sarcastically, glaring at him and pushing him out of the way so she could carry on walking in the woods, by herself. He grabbed her arm to stop her but she shook it off and carried on walking. But Malik being Malik, for some reason (and not knowing why he was doing this), followed her.

She stopped once she got to a castle, that's when he shouted over to her, (since he was behind her),

"I'm a vampire Erin; I'm bloodsucking, disgusting, human murdering vampire! You happy now, huh, are you? Because I'm upset, and I wanted to stop you from going into that castle and making you fall asleep for 100 years and I will be forced to make you become one of us and be married to me once you've woken up for the rest of your unlife!" Erin stopped in her tracks, and turned around, and once she realised what he said, was angry and stormed over to him.

"You were going to turn me into a vampire and make me married to you?!" she asked, he opened his mouth to reply but she slapped him around the face, "and to think, I was just warming up to you." She glared at him and started walking away from the castle she was originally walking to and went to find her true love. Until something happened…

As Vlad was searching for his princess everywhere, he was walking in the woods as well and happened to bump into the princess he was looking for, though he didn't quite know that just yet. As they bumped into each other, Erin fell backwards and hit her head,

"Ahh." She cried, and she felt a hand in hers and soon she was stood up again. She looked up to see Vlad his blue eyes sparkling, which soon met hers she smiled and looked into his eyes and he looked into hers.

"Should I know you because it feels like I should, but we've never met?" he asked.

"I'm- was the princess the Nobles had years ago, but someone kidnapped me and locked me up." He suddenly recognised her and bowed to her,

"Why hello there Princess Erin, I'm the Counts son, Vlad. I've been searching the kingdom for you everywhere." She giggled.

"Well you're surprisingly charming aren't you Prince Vlad. I'm assuming you were the one I'm supposed to be married to when I'm sixteen, which I am today?" she asked, he nodded.

"Yes my Princess." He took her hand and kissed it, she smiled, she liked him and no one was going to stand in the way of her marriage to this boy, especially if he had been searching the kingdom for her. There was definitely no way Elizabeta was going to stop her from marrying her (late) husband's, brother's child, though she didn't realise that Malik was related to Vlad in any way she just knew that Malik's mother didn't want her marrying him for some reason, 'I mean he was sweet right? And cute, and handsome, I mean the list could go on-' her thoughts were cut off when Vlad realised Malik was standing behind her, and stood back for a moment.

"I see you already have someone with you." He said Erin's eyes widened.

"He's the bloody son of the woman who looked me up since I was a baby, he is not what you think he is, if you think he's my bloody boyfriend, I mean he's cute, but I don't like him like that." She looked at Malik and he looked back, and nodded,

"Yeah, we're not together, why would we be, I mean she wants to marry you, and I would be her half-brother, who's supposed to hate you." He pointed at Vlad, "and my mum wants her to sleep for 100 years so when she wakes up she basically becomes a blood sucking, people killing vampire."

"Funny that, you sound like my father," Vlad said, "anyway, Erin are you ok?" he looked at her, she looked back and deep into his eyes and then looked away, and looked up to see Elizabeta in Vlad's place, her eyes were red and Erin was suddenly in a trance and went towards the castle. Malik was shouting, trying to get her attention but she couldn't him, she was hypnotised.

"Mum what the hell are you doing? Just because you hate Vlad's dad doesn't mean you can trick Erin into going to the castle."

"Just watch me Malik, just you watch me," She replied, and with that she told her to go to the castle, and Erin went, while Vlad was laid on the floor after being taken over by Malik's mother. He shook him trying to get him to wake, but it was no use, he was unconscious.

Meanwhile Erin finally arrived at the castle and went over to a wheel, she went over to touch it, but she pricked her finger, she was in shock and soon fell asleep for what would be 100 years.

But soon Vlad awoke and went to the castle, because what Elizabeta did not know was that only true love's kiss could break the curse of sleeping for 100 years, and he did just that.

Soon once she was awake, and after she rejoiced with her parents and finally met Vlad's, they got married and they all lived happily ever after… well except for Elizabeta, even Malik found love with someone.
