Dairey: Here it is people the last chapter :)

Syns: And yes we know: Astral world is original ruled by Eliphas. But we started with this story way back before we knew anything about Astral world :P So yes it doens't fit with Zexal orignal story. Oh, well.

Dairey: either way enjoy.

While not moving an inch, completely speechless Faran and Carisca were looking at the heartbroken scene in front of them. Astral sitting on his knees crying rivers of tears while clinging desperately to Yuma's lifeless body.

His face buried in Yuma's chest Astral sobbing loudly constantly repeating Yuma's name over and over in a choked whisper. The tears that felt from his mismatched eyes soaked through Yuma's t-shirt mixing salty tears with staining blood.

Minutes had passed by after their arrival back at the palace but neither of the two astral beings standing there knew what to do nor what to say next.

"Prince Faran! I've received your emergency message, so I came quickly as I- oh my." Everyone turned their when they heard a light woman voice gasped behind them.

It was a young adult female astral being with the same color of skin and long hair as Astral's light blue skin. And unlike the other astral beings she had pupil-less eyes and wore a long white dress with navy blue streaks on the bottom of the dress.

"E-Ena." Astral sobbed.

"W-What…what happened with him?" She asked shocked with her hand in front of her mouth.

"He was stabbed by the Lemuria's angle, Ena. And our way he…" Carisca felt silent middle in the sentence as she was not capable to end that sentence without bursting into tears.

Ena quietly made her way to Astral who looked at her with pleading eyes. "E-Ena, can't you...can't you d-do something? Please." Astral sobbed.

Ena sat down as she placed on hand on Yuma's chest and one on Yuma's forehead. Both began to glow faintly. Ena gasped. "Oh, dear." She whispered. Her hands stopped glowing as she removed her hands from Yuma's chest and head.

"A-And?" Astral asked impatient when Ena didn't say a word.

"I…I am sorry Astral but there is nothing I can do." Ena simply said knowing there was no other way to say it. "Yuma is no more."

Astral felt his small, yet last, hope die with Ena's answer. "B-But, but." Astral stutter before his sad look changed into an angry glare. "You're the best healer of Astral world! How can you not able to do something!" Astral shouted out furious making all of them, exception of Ena, jump.

Faran and Carisca had never seen in their entire life Astral so angry. His mismatched eyes usually showing serenity and calmness were now blazing with a fire of anger and frustration. More than when the faced Sashala.

"Astral it's not that I don't want to help Yuma." Ena said calmly.

"Then why are you not doing anything?!" Astral shouted.

"Because there is nothing I can do." Ena answered her voice started to rise as well.

"What do you mean 'there is nothing I can do'? I have seen your healing powers! You were even able to bring an astral being back from destruction. Yet you're not able to bring back a simple human! That's the most preposterous assumption I ever-"

"ASTRAL!" Ena shouted loudly suddenly interrupting the distressed Astral. "Please listen to me. Like I said I want nothing more than to bring Yuma back. But as you said: he is a human. My healing powers aren't able to communal well with Yuma's life force. Even if I am able to bring Yuma back, I can't restore the damage that the Lemuria's poison had done. A lot of Yuma's vital organs are completely eaten away or are critical state. If I bring Yuma back to live and keep him alive he will only suffer in agonizing pain for the rest of his life."

Astral's eyes widen when Ena's information sunk into him. Did he want that? Did he just want Yuma back in a world of never ending pain so he just can be with him?

His eyes turned sadly back at Yuma's face.

No.

No, he couldn't do that.

In Yuma's last minutes he had seen the terrible pain in Yuma's suffering eyes. He still could hear the pleading voice of Yuma begging him to make the pain stop.

Tears swelled in Astral's eyes again when the painful truth finally hit him. Yuma was gone and there was nothing to bring him back.

"I-I understand." Astral whispered tears rolling over his cheeks falling on Yuma's cold face.

Ena placed a comforting hand on Astral's shoulder. "I am so sorry, Astral." Ena said with the greatest sympathy.

While Ena did her best to comfort Astral in his saddest hour, Faran turned around floating towards the exit of the ship.

"Faran? Where do you think you're going? Y-You can't leave! Astral needs us." Faran heard Carisca said with a trembling voice. It was clearly the girl was on the edge of breaking into tears as well.

"I know that Carisca, but I have to inform my parents about this occurrence. They probably know about our emergency call and I don't want to keep them worried about us." Faran explained.

"Oh right, s-sorry I didn't though..."

"It's alright Carisca, I understand your reaction. I will be right back." After that Faran left the ship without another word.

Carisca turned her eyes back to her crying friend. It was the when she couldn't take it anymore, quickly she flew to hear crying friend were she threw her arms around him and started to cry with him. "Oh Astral, I…I don't know w-what to say. I wish I c-could help you." Carisca sobbed.

"I-I know C-Carisca." Astral sobbed.

"W-what are we supposed to do now? You know…with Yuma's body?" Carisca asked.

"From what I l-learned from Yuma is that when h-humans die they hold something call a funeral." Astral sobbed.

"A funeral? You mean like a last greeting?" Carisca wondered.

Astral nodded. "Yes, but after that they bury the passed away person in the ground lying in some sort huge box."

"Humans are weird." Carisca said half-joking half-crying.

"But I don't want that. I don't want to b-bury Yuma in the dark cold ground. Y-Yuma deserves to be in the light." Astral sobbed, shivering at the idea of Yuma lying far beneath the ground.

"I might have an idea." Ena said, making the two looking at her questioningly. "Right outside the city walls there is a beautiful crystal cave where the sunlit enters through the holes in the celling. What if we preserve Yuma's body inside a huge crystal and making a small crypt for you only to enter Astral? This way you can always go and see Yuma whenever you want."

Astral thought it was most wonderful idea. Although Yuma was gone this way he will never be able to forget the boy's beautiful face. He agreed with a nod.

"Shall I then take Yuma for a moment?" Ena asked.

"For what?" Astral asked with fear, tighten his grip on Yuma's body.

Ena smiled softly. "Don't worry Astral; I only want clean up Yuma's remains. Do you wish to bury him while he is looking like that? Bloodstained and battered?"

"Ena is right Astral. I think it will be more beautiful if we preserve Yuma's body in serene and peaceful condition. You don't want when you visit him to always look at the state he is now do you?" Carisca added.

Astral sighed sadly agreeing that they were right. Still he hesitantly handed over Yuma to Ena.

"Carisca, why don't you bring Astral to his room? Try both to get some rest there. Meanwhile I will fix Yuma up. He will look like nothing happened to him." Ena said.

Carisca nodded. Slowly she helped Astral back on his feet. She pulled on arm around his shoulder as she gently started to lead her friend back to his guest room.

"Faran! My goodness it's good to see that you are okay!" King Zunthral sighed in relief when she saw his son entering the room.

"We've heard that an emergency message was send from Carisca's ship, asking for Ena's assistance. We thought something horrible happened with you three." Queen Yasseya said as she embraced her son.

"No, mother we are fine." Faran said sadly.

The sad tone in Faran's voice didn't escape both parents' ears. "Faran, what's wrong? Why do you sound so sad?" Queen Yasseya asked in concern.

"Do you remember that you sent me out to investigate the two mysterious beams of light that had been notice by the people, father?" Faran said.

King Zuntrhal nodded. "Yes, I remember. Were you able to find out the origins of the two beams?"

"Yes, but it wasn't anything we ever could have anticipated." Faran answered.

"What do you mean, Faran? Please explain us." Queen Yasseya pleaded. She was very concerned what could have made her son so distressed.

-Minutes later-

"And that is what exactly happened." Faran said as last.

Both parents were speechless when they were informed about the horrible occurrences that had taken place in the wildlife.

"Oh my word." Queen Yasseya gasped in horror, her hand in front of her mouth. "That…that poor boy."

King Zuntrhal growled. "I should have known that even with the defeat of their cursed god some Barians decided to cause some trouble. But I never thought that they attack so directly. And now an innocent human boy had paid the highest price for that."

"Not only Yuma, my dear. Astral too paid a high price: he had lost the one he loved with all of his heart. Where is Astral by the way?" Queen Yasseya asked.

"I am not completely sure. Last time I saw him was on Carisca's ship, crying with Yuma in his arms. Ena was there as well, but she said there was nothing she could do. Even if she could bring Yuma back the boy would be in such pain because his vital organs are as good as gone or in critical state. And her powers don't communal with Yuma's life form." Faran explained.

"Thank you, for telling this, Faran. You better return to Astral now. He sure can use his closest friends right now." King Zuntrhal said to his son.

"Of course, father." Faran said with a bow before he turned around and left.

For over an hour the three astral beings had been in Astral's room and still they were trying to comfort their heartbroken friend.

"Sadly we never notice him sooner. Who knows, maybe it would have ended differently." Faran sighed sadly.

"Notice him sooner." Astral mumbled.

I hope to see you soon, Astral.

Astral gasped, realizing he had heard Yuma when they were flying above the wildlife. He first though his memories of Yuma was torturing him, now of course it was clear that he heard Yuma's thoughts. This means that they were very near Yuma at that moment.

"We could have saved him." Astral whispered.

His friends asked him what he meant with that. Being more devastated than ever Astral explain his friends how he had heard Yuma's voice but decided to ignore it to avoid because he thought it was nothing but a hoax.

Carisca gently rubbed Astral's who was now not only tormented by sadness but with guilt too.

"I know this may not sound helpful Astral, but at least Yuma died while seeing you for the last time. He might as well have died with his last memory of Sashala." Faran said.

"And I've no doubt that knowing you were there and that you fought with everything you had to save him from Sashala's claws was enough evidence for Yuma to know that you cared for him." Carisca pointed out as an effort to cheer Astral up.

But to Astral they were nothing but meaningless words. He didn't wanted Yuma to know he cared for him. He wanted Yuma to know how much he loved the boy. How much he loved to stare into those beautiful, sparkling, warm ruby eyes. How much he wanted to touch Yuma tenderly, to feel the softness and flawless tanned skin under his fingers again. That he never want to leave the boy's side again as long as he lived.

Now it was all too late of course.

Carisca sighed sadly. "Let me see if Ena is done with cleaning up Yuma's body. It has been an hour so she should be done by now." She said before floating out of the room while Faran stayed and continue trying to comfort Astral.

Minutes past by when suddenly Carisca burst into the room completely out of breath. "He is gone!" She exclaimed.

"What on Astral world are you talking about? Who is gone?" Faran asked in confuse.

"Y-Yuma. Yuma's body is gone. He is nowhere to be found." Carisca panted.

Both boys' eyes widen. "What do you mean 'Yuma's body is gone'? How can a body suddenly disappear? Where is Ena? She was responsible for him?" Faran asked franticly.

"I- I don't know. The other healers have no clue where she is. And apparently she never arrived with Yuma's body." Carisca explained. "They all didn't know there was a human in this palace."

"But...but...but where is Yuma then?!" Astral cried out.

Carisca pulled up her shoulders while shaking her head showing that she had no single clue. Astral felt panic rising within him. What happened with Yuma's body? Why Ena didn't bring him to her place? What was she up to? Where was she going with Yuma's body?

"Let us not all fall into panic. Come on, there must be someone who knows where Ena is." Faran said.

All three left Astral's room in the hope to find someone who could lead them to the missing human boy. Every person they run into they asked if they've see any sign Ena or Yuma, without success.

That was until they came across a young guard. "I have seen Ena, yes. She did carry some strange creature in her arms when I saw her. I've never saw something so bizarre in all my life." The guard said.

Astral was about to say something to the warrior for calling Yuma 'a thing' and 'bizarre' but Faran beat him to it. "Did you saw where she was going?" Faran asked.

"She was climbing the stairs that leads to sanctuary on top of the palace. She was accompanied by the King and Queen." The guard answered.

"My parents?" Faran said in surprise.

"The sanctuary on top of the palace?" Carisca and Astral said in surprise as well.

Astral knew exactly which sanctuary the warrior was talking about. It was the same place where Yuma had dueled Eliphas to prevent him from erasing Astral's memories. After Astral got serious injured by Black Mist last and final attack he retreated back to Astral world. There arrived they deemed Astral as 'chaos' so they wanted to reprogram Astral by erasing his memories.

But Yuma didn't agreed with that and challenge Eliphas; as guardian of Astral world; to duel, putting Astral and his memories on the line. Although Astral couldn't move within the crystal he was into he still was able to hear the duel. Astral still remembered how moved he was by Yuma's bravery and termination to save him from a destiny that even Astral didn't want.

Even the King and Queen apologized for their thoughtless decision after Astral returned back from his mission. Their eyes had been opened as well by Yuma's passionate and brave words.

"I don't understand; why would they take Yuma up there?" Carisca asked.

"I don't know but I do remember a bright light coming from on top of there just a several minutes ago." The guard mentioned.

"Thank you for your help, good man." Faran said before the three flew off fast towards the stairs that lead to the sanctuary.

From all three it was Astral who flew the fastest; he needed to see with his own eyes what they were planning with Yuma's body. Yet his heart dread of what he would find when they reached the top. Being the first to reach the top Astral felt his heart stop, his breath stuck in his throat. No words came when Astral saw Ena standing next to the King. His eyes however were more focused on what King Zuntrhal held.

Although they were nothing but shreds Astral could easily identified it as the remaining of Yuma's clothes.

"Astral? What are you doing here?" Ena said surprised when she noticed Astral.

King Zuntrhal was also surprised to see Astral. "Oh, this was not supposed to happen. You were not to find it out y- Astral are you alright?"

Astral didn't pay attention to the king. With wide eyes Astral kept gazing to the shreds the King was holding, his body softly shaking and trembling of shock and disbelief.

"What…what have you done?" Astral whispered quietly.

"Excuse me?" King Zunthral said as he didn't catch Astral's words.

"What have you done?" Astral said again, louder this time so they all heard the hint of anger within his voice.

"What do you mean, Astral?" Ena asked.

"Yuma! What have you done to him! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YUMA?!" Astral shouted in pure rage.

Just in the nick of time Faran and Carisca were able grabbed Astral's arms when they notice that their friend was about to lunge towards the King and Ena.

"Astral! Please calm down." Faran cried out to his outraged friend, who was struggling furious to get out their grip.

"Yeah! I understand you're angry but that doesn't mean you have to go all berserk!" Carisca pleaded.

Ena and King Zuntrhal; who were completely surprised by Astral's outburst, floated a step backwards while they looked at Astral with an astonished look. It was when Ena looked at the shreds in the King's hands that she understood what was going on.

"Astral, please calm down. This isn't what you think." She said desperately.

"How can this not be what I think it is?! Those are Yuma's clothes! Completely in shreds! It like they were ripped apart." Astral shouted angry.

"Astral, calm down for a moment." King Zunthral said sternly as he tried to reason with Astral. But the blue spirit didn't want to hear anything of it.

"I don't want to hear any excuses! WHERE IS YUMA AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE HIM?!"

"ASTRAL!" Queen Yasseya's voice boomed all of a sudden.

Ena and King Zuntrhal turned their head towards the altar while Faran, Carisca and Astral felt quiet when their eyes felt on the Queen. Even Astral stopped his attempt to struggle out of his friends grasp.

"Now calm down for a second and listen."

Outermost carefully Ena carried Yuma remain in her arms. Looking down to his face she sighed sadly. With his eyes closed Yuma looked like he was peacefully asleep. No frown, no signs that showed the unbearable pain the boy had been in moments ago.

"Oh, Yuma." She whispered sadly. "I've hoped that whenever we meet again it wasn't in these dire circumstances. You didn't deserve this cruel fate."

/Ena? Ena do you hear me?/

Ena was very surprised to hear Queen Yasseya calling to her through telepathy. /Yes, your majesty I can hear you. How can help you?/

/At this moment you're in possession of Yuma Tsukumo's remains, correct?/

/Yes I am, your majesty. I assume your son; Prince Faran, already informed you about the terrible circumstances./

/He told us what happened yes. That is the reason why I am contacting you. I want you to bring Yuma's remains to the sanctuary a top of the palace. We will await you at beginning of the stairs./

/To the sanctuary?/ Ena said with confusion.

The Queen chuckled. /Don't worry we will explain it all to you while we climb up the stairs./

/Very well, your majesty. I get there as soon as possible./ After that Ena turned around and started to carry Yuma the other way; towards the endless stairs that would lead her to the sanctuary.

Ena lay Yuma down on the altar where once the crystal stood that held Astral after his injury. She then turned around to King Zunthral and Queen Yasseya. "Don't understand me wrong, your majesty. I believe it is a wonderful idea but this can turn to the worse. It can tear Yuma's remains apart. I am very sure that Astral is never going to forgive us for that." Ena said.

Queen Yasseya nodded. "Yes, but if this works we're able to save not one but two lives. Astral's heart is never going to heal from this loss. We have to give it a chance even if can go wrong."

Ena agreed with the Queen. Even if this plan fails what was there to lose? Yuma was already gone, the worse already happened.

Queen Yasseya and King Zuntrhal each went to one side of the altar. "You better stand back Ena. There will be an enormous release of pure energy and we don't want you to get hurt." King Zuntrhal warned.

When Ena was at a safe distance from the altar, they both raised an arm above Yuma's body. Slowly their body started to glow, radiating a bright aura. Softly King Zunthral and Queen Yasseya began to rant a mysterious language while their aura spread over Yuma's body causing the boy to levitate in mid-air.

"Astral world, please hear our plea!" Both called out. "Grant us with you power so we may of the strength to save this human boy!"

Ena heard a low rumble sound while the aura light of the royal couple became brighter and brighter. Rips appeared all over Yuma's skin where beams of lights erupted from it. Ena's eyes widen: this was what she feared for.

"It's not working! The power is too overwhelming for human boy!" King Zunthral exclaimed angry.

"No!" Queen Yasseya cried. "This has to work! This is the only way!"

"Yasseya, please! I understand your feelings. But it is clearly Yuma's spirit and body isn't strong enough. We have to stop! If we do it now the damage won't be so grave. If not the boy will dissolve!" King Zunthral explained, hoping to talk some sense in his wife.

But the women shook her head. "No! We can't let them down, Zunthral! Both risk their lives for us! Both went through so much just to save us from Don Thousand plans of destruction. Now they need our help and we can't give it to them? I won't, no, I refuse to let that happen!" Queen Yasseya shouted her body bursting into light.

/Yuma! Yuma can you hear me?!/

Yuma aimlessly wondered around surrounded nothing but endless darkness.

Yuma didn't like being here. There was no light, no sound, nobody. Nothing. Where was he? Wasn't he lying in Astral arms just a moment ago?

"Hello?" He called out hearing his own voice echoing. "Is someone out there?"

Shivering from the ice cold temperature surrounding him Yuma began to rub his bare arms in an attempt to get warmer. Yuma looked around again in hope to see something he might had overlooked. Sadly to his regret still nothing to see.

"Hello!" He called out a bit louder. "Is someone out there?!"

Again he only heard his own voice echoing before it felt to a deadly silent.

"Hello!" Yuma shouted again, this time there was a hint of fright. "Anyone?! Please anyone! Tori? Shark? Kite? Astral? Astral? ASTRAAAAL!"

Astral's name echoed for several seconds until it felt silent again. Dropping on his knees with his arms around him Yuma sobbed quietly while tears swelled in his eyes yet they didn't fall. "N-no. Not again." Yuma whimpered.

He remembered this painful feeling when his parents suddenly disappeared, that utterly feeling of being completely alone. Yuma hated and at the same time feared this feeling wholeheartedly. Luckily there was his sister and grandmother to ease the pain. And when Tori and Bronk became his friends the feeling of loneliness was suppressed even more. The rest of his pain he shrouded it behind a masked smile. But then something happened he didn't saw coming. Astral came to his life. And although he didn't notices it at first but the blue alien was able to do something that no single person ever could. Astral was able to fill up the missing part in his heart.

But now he had no one, only the kill silent darkness that surrounded him

"P-please I don't want to be alone again." Yuma sobbed as couple lonely teardrops felt on his pants.

Minutes crawled by slowly, although Yuma had no concept of time, when Yuma suddenly heard a low rumbling sound coming from behind him.

Looking behind him he saw a small light growing expansionary to a bright blinding light. Curiosity took Yuma over when he stood up and took a step closer to the light. But when he was closer sparks of lightning hit his skin sending painful stings through his veins.

Yelping out in pain Yuma backed up, trying to get away from the sparks. To his fear he saw the spark still tried to reach out to him.

"What is going on?!" Yuma shouted, still trying to get away from the light. Finally he was able to get far away from the sparks. Not able to reach him anymore the sparks started to roam around wildly. The rumble started to get louder, turning into loud roaring. A strong surge of wind blew in Yuma's face making his clothes flapping around violently.

Yuma didn't know what was happening exactly but he did know he needed to get far away from this whole mess.

Turning around Yuma began to run.

/Yuma! Yuma can you hear me?!/

Yuma stopped when he heard a woman voice talking in his head.

/W-Who are you?/

/Oh, thank goodness you're soul isn't lost yet./ The voice replied relief.

/What do you mean 'not lost yet'? Who the heck are you?!/ Yuma asked angry.

/My apologizes, Yuma. My name is Yasseya: Queen of Astral world./

Yuma felt his anger subdue immediately when he heard her title./You're the Queen of Astral? Oh, geez. S-sorry for my rudeness./

Yuma heard Yassyea chuckle./That's alright Yuma I would have responded the same as you did. But I want you to listen at me. I want you to step into the light./

Yuma's eyes widen when he heard the Queen's request. Stepping into the light? Was she serious? It already hurt badly when he was just near it so he could image how much it will hurt if he gets even closer?

/It will hurt a lot, yes/ Yuma blinked in surprise when the Queen answered the question he even didn't ask yet. Was she able to read his mind? /But you have to do this Yuma. Only then you can return back to the world of the living./

Yuma gasped. What did she mean: back to the world of the living? Does this means he was dead? Did he subside to his wounds? Of course, that would explain where he was right now.

/Yuma, please hurry up! If you don't hurry up this power will overwhelm your body destroy it eradicating your last resort of ever coming back! Please you have to come! For Astral's sake./ The Queen pleaded.

/Astral?/ Yuma said in shock.

/Astral is devastated by your death. Losing you broke his heart in pieces that nobody else can fix./

Yuma felt a lump growing in his throat when he heard about Astral's emotional state. He never means to cause so much harm to Astral..

/That is why I want you to come back, Yuma. There is only one person who can heal Astral's heart. And that person is you./

/Why me? It seems I only bring pain into Astral's life. He will be better off without me./ Yuma said sadly.

/No, he won't Yuma./

/What makes you think that?/ Yuma asked

/Because….Because Astral loves you./

Yuma's mind felt into a state of shock.

"Astral loves you…Astral loves you…Astral loves you" those three words repeated in his head over and over. He couldn't get it out of his head, not that he wanted to naturally.

/He…he loves me?/ Yuma whispered.

/Yes, Yuma. When Astral arrived back in Astral world he felt something missing, a nagging feeling in his heart. After a while I was able to make him realize that the missing part in his heart was you. That his feelings for you had gone way further than close friendship. The reason he never realized it was because he never experience love before that. And when he finally realizes he had fallen in love with you he was so distressed by the fact he was never able to tell you how he really felt about you./

Yuma couldn't find the right words to express the emotions he was feeling right now. Tears of pure joy felt from his eyes when it suddenly sink to him that Astral loved him as much he loved him.

But then he face fell./But I died./ Yuma said sadly.

/That is why I and my husband had been calling for the power of Astral world, to bring you back. You and Astral had done so much for our world, for every world to be saved. You helped us, now we are going to do everything to help you two. But you have to do it quickly! Once this chance slips you, you and Astral will be forever be separated!/

/No! I don't want us to be separated!/ Yuma cried not wanting to let go of Astral again.

/Then you need to get into the light! Hurry! Your body can't hold in anymore!/

Without hesitation Yuma run towards the light. Yuma hissed in pain when the sparks started to sting him again. Only this time Yuma didn't back up. He continues on going forward, deeper into the light. Yuma yelped when a large spark hit his chest sending painful shots through his heart. Burn marks appeared on Yuma's skin where the sparks continue to hit him.

Still Yuma stepped forward.

Yuma needed to shield his eyes when the brightness of the light began to blind his vision. The wind that howled violently, tried its best to blow the boy of his feet; to push him away from the center of the light.

Still Yuma stepped forward.

It all didn't matter to him. He needed to go forward. He had to.

When Yuma almost reached the center of the light he felt most his strength worn out. He dropped on his knees, panting heavily.

/Yuma, hold on! Just a little further./ The Queen pleaded.

/I…I.. don't…want t-to…B-But…my…strength..I am..s-so…tired/ Yuma panted.

/Don't give up Yuma. Remember; you're doing this for Astral. Think about him./

/A-Astral./ Yuma whispered as the blue astral being flashed before his eyes. The Queen was right. He had to fight. For Astral.

Yuma forced himself to stand u, his legs shake as he tried to stay up. /I w-will..never give…u-up on you…Astral. I am.. I am.. I AM FEELING THE FLOW!/ Yuma shouted at the top of his lungs using his last and remaining strength to reach out towards the light.

-End flashback-

"The light became so bright it blinded us all. After minutes the light finally dimmed out and we thought that if at worked but we all were very surprised by the end result." Queen Yasseya explained the three young astral beings.

"It's very surprised indeed." Faran said.

"Agree. What about you Astral? Astral?" Carisca asked.

Astral wasn't listening. His eyes and attention were all focused on the Queen's lap. On it laid, with his eyes closed, a red astral being. All the marks on his body were the same as Astral, only difference was the marks in his chest. On his chest stood a large mark in the shape of a large 'X', which was the same shape as the earrings he was wearing.

But what stood out was its black spiked hair with pink bangs.

Astral couldn't believe what he was seeing. Although it was strange to see him like this, there was no doubt about it. This astral being was nobody else but Yuma Tsukumo. Without a word Astral flew closer until her reached his friend new form. Tears of relief fall from Astral eyes when he saw Yuma's chest going up and down, indicating he was breathing.

Astral dropped on his knees, gently reaching to Yuma's cheek surprised of how warm the boy's new from felt. Yuma groaned softly, slowly opening his eyes.

Astral smiled happy when his mismatched eyes looked straight into red glowing eyes.

A small smile formed on Yuma's lips. "Astral." Yuma whispered happily.

It didn't take long before Astral was hugging Yuma close to him, crying out of happiness.

"Y-Yuma. I can't believe..Yuma, you're…you're. Yuma!" Astral cried out.

Yuma, who was crying as well, hugged Astral back. Softly he whispered to Astral that everything was okay, that it was really him while he gently ran his fingers through Astral's hair, his hand rubbing his back.

"I thought n-never to see you again." Astral sobbed.

"I would never leave you alone. I love you too much for that." Yuma said softly.

This brought more tears into Astral's eyes. He tightens his embrace around Yuma. "I love you to Yuma." Astral whispered back finally relieved he was able to reveal his feelings towards Yuma.

-2 weeks later-

"More to left Yuma. Yes. Mor- no that's too much now. More to..Okay, that's good. Keep going, keep going. More to the right, to the right, TO THE RIGHT!"

SMACK

"AUW!"

"Euhm, you're right I mean"

"Argh I give up!" Yuma groaned angry while rubbing his scraped face.

"Oh come on, Yuma. It's not that bad." Carisca said.

"Not that bad? Carisca, I have been an astral being for two weeks and I am still not able to fly straight!" Yuma exclaimed.

Astral chuckled, reaching his hand out to help Yuma back on his feet. "Be patience Yuma. You will get the hang of it in time." Astral said.

Yuma pouted towards Astral. "But I want to discover Astral world with you." Yuma whined. "How am I supposed to do that if I fly against everything or everyone?"

Carisca rolled with her eyes. "Yuma, you have an eternal live as an Astral being before you. Time enough I think."

"For Yuma it never can go fast enough." Astral said which earned him a 'huff' from Yuma.

Astral smiled. A lot had happened since Yuma's miraculous revival.

After long searching the King and Queen had been able to find a way for Yuma take one but only contact with his family and friends. He still remembered how Yuma cowered in fear behind him when Kari angry voice shouted at him for doing something so dangerously reckless, even though the young adult woman wasn't able to reach him.

After Kari had calmed down, thanks to afford of Yuma's grandmother, Yuma began to tell about what happened him after he disappeared into the portal. Most of Yuma's friends gasped in horror when he started about the fatal encounter with Shashala and the Lemuria that resulted into his dead.

It was then when Queen Yasseya took over and explained to them how she and her husband have used the power of Astral world in a last effort to revive the boy. She also explained about the surprisingly end result of Yuma's transformation into an Astral being. In which they earned another round of shouting from an angry Kari.

For a second Yuma feared that the King and Queen were going furious with the way Kari was behaving against them. To his relief the Queen winked at Yuma showing she understood the big sister's reaction.

Again Haru had calm down her granddaughter before Yuma could continue, telling them that he didn't mind becoming an astral being. When his friends asked him why he answered them that he wished to remain at Astral side since they revealed their feelings to each other.

Even though his friends felt sad about the fact that Yuma never will come home they were all very happy for Astral and Yuma. Kari wasn't all too thrilled about her little brother living some other dimension far away from her. Still she wished all the happiness in the world for them before she threated Astral if he ever dare to hurt her brother she personally kick his ass, even if she had to find a way to Astral world herself.

Astral assured Kari that he would do everything in his power to make Yuma happy. He had lost Yuma once; he wasn't going to lose him again.

One by one their friends took their farewell with them before all contact between them faded away. Yuma did shed a few tears when all contact broke between his family and friends but Astral was quickly there to squeeze his hand in comfort.

After that Astral, with the help of his friends started to teach Yuma about the life in Astral world. Which didn't always went as planned of course but Astral was patience. Since he first handed experience of being a stranger in unknown world Astral understood Yuma just needed some time to adjust himself.

And despite the fact that some astral beings had second thoughts with the arrival of Yuma everything went calm and peacefully. Astral was also relief Yuma got very well along with Carisca and Prince Faran

"I think that would be enough for today. What about you Yuma?" Faran asked.

"Gladly." Yuma sighed.

"You two already go ahead, we will join you later." Astral said.

"Sure thing, Astral." Carisca said before she and the prince left, leaving the two all alone.

"Something wrong Astral?" Yuma asked in curiosity.

Astral warmly smiled down to Yuma. "Nothing is wrong Yuma." Astral answered while stroking Yuma's cheek earning a content sigh from the boy. "I suddenly wondered about something."

"What then?" Yuma asked.

"Don't understand me wrong I am very happy you are here. But why did you danger your life by coming after me?" Astral asked.

Yuma chuckled. "Astral, I would do about everything to be with you. Black Mist, Vector, Don Thousand; all of them I fought against not only to save all words but also to make sure you won't disappear. I dueled with Eliphas to make sure he didn't erase your memories. I can't image a life were you are no part of it. No, I would do everything. Even if I have to follow you to the edge of the world."

Astral was touched by Yuma's words, it was the last push he needed for his big decision. "Then it remains for me only one thing."

Yuma blinked. "And what is that?"

Astral took Yuma's hand. "Yuma would you like to become my mate for life?"

Yuma gasped while Astral brought out a broad bracelet with a big round jewel in which the two colors blue and red merging into each other. Yuma had learned whenever an astral being asked another astral being to be its mate they didn't give them a ring as they did in his world, but gave them a bracelet with a stone that presented the colors of their skin.

"Yuma?" Astral asked in concern since the boy hadn't said a word after his question. Does this mean he didn't want to become Astral's mate?

"Yes!" Yuma exclaimed. "Yes! Yes! I love to become your mate for life!"

Beyond happiness Astral slipped the bracelet over Yuma's wrist fitting it perfectly. Yuma then threw his arms around Astral's shoulders pulling him into a deep passionate kiss. Astral circled his arms around Yuma's waist deepening the kiss. The kiss lasted until they needed to pull apart to catch some air.

After that they silently stared into each other's eyes with admiration and love, smiling softly to the other.

"I love you, Astral." Yuma whispered.

"I love you too Yuma. Forever and always." Astral whispered back before pulling Yuma back into a deep kiss.
