"The cafe?" Daniel said as they slowed from their Apparation. "What are we doing here?"
"I want to start over with you. Apart from my father's money and fame and away from my past and on my own for once. I'm guessing you won't be getting your job back with Gringotts?"
"Unless your uncle can pull strings, probably not. I don't think they're that happy with me."
"It's time I did something for myself. So… I came here."
"To Flat White. In Muggle London."
"Yeah… I don't know why exactly, but my parents met here. You and I reconnected here. Muggle or not, this place seems to have some sort of magic attached to it." Molly glanced quickly around then discreetly pointed her wand at the shop window. "But a bit of real magic can't hurt anything."
She sauntered inside. "Excuse me? I just wanted to inquire about the Now Hiring sign in the front window."
"What? I don't think that we're-" Molly pointed her wand at the barista from underneath her coat. "Oh, right. That sign. Of course. Do you think you could start this afternoon?"
"I think today is the perfect day to begin," she said. "I'll see you at home after work, Daniel?"
"Of course," he said, and planted a kiss on her cheek.
Percy Weasley Re-Elected as Minister for Magic
In a stunning turn of events at the polls, Percy Weasley triumphed over Ernie Macmillan with more than 80 percent of the votes. Weasley stated in a press release that he is "thrilled with the turnout and promises great things for England's wizarding community during [his] next term." Macmillan could not be reached for comment.
Naysayers speculate that Weasley's daughter, Molly, might have something to do with his re-election, as her reconciliation with boyfriend Daniel Wood was among the highlights of the Finnigan/Scamander wedding. Jilted lover of Lucy Weasley, Bryan Macmillan, says that the public is taking this temporary happiness in the Weasleys' personal life too seriously, and things are bound to go downhill soon.
No comments were made, for the better or worse, regarding the Minister's actual plans for his term.
