So, I'm really sorry about how slow the updates have been going, but fourth year is hell sometimes. Anywho, I hope you guys like this ^^

A gentle breeze wafted through the valleys and trees, the soft wind ruffling the long black locks and the silk running through her fingers, her needle and thread moving at a rhythmic pace as she hemmed the silk with exceptional care, her smile soft and delicate as her fingertips inspected her work.

"Kagome," Rin called quietly, her voice she knew startling the hiding girl, "aren't you supposed to be in lessons?"

"… no…"

"Really?" the young woman murmured, "because I distinctly remember your language teacher coming through here searching for both you and InuYasha."

Rin's brown eyes laughed as the little girl, now about to enter into adolescents, her limbs lengthening and her body slim, pull herself from the bush to step up onto the wooden deck. Her hair was now hanging down between her shoulders, long and wavy, her blue eyes almost always stubborn yet happy, though they were now closed as she sighed, her body in a rich green kimono and her hair loose.

"But it's boring," Kagome whined as the back of her knees hit the wood, her back resting against the deck, her black locks splaying on the wood, her cousin laughing lightly.

"It's supposed to be," Rin told the girl, "now, get back to it!"

"But Rin-"

"No buts," the young woman murmured, "back to work!"

"Can't I stay with you and her?" Kagome asked, her hands gently rubbing the swelling belly Rin sported, "please!?"

"We don't know if it's a her," a second voice interjected, both women turning to look at the approaching dog demon and his younger brother, the half demon looking as though he was scolded as Kagome was for skipping out on their lessons.

InuYasha had equally grown as Kagome did, and with them their arguments. While the half-demon was taught by his brother to handle a sword, his muscles were still under-developed and his body more skinny than anything else, though he was working hard to change it. His hair too, had grown, only slightly longer than Kagome's and his amber eyes, now downcast, were both determined and defiant, the only person who managed to avoid his arguments were his nephew and sister-in-law.

"I see you weren't the only one who skipped out on their work," Rin murmured as her cousin flushed, her husband slipping to sit down beside her, his arms holding their first born, the small boy clutching onto his father's robe, "so, back to the lessons you two, now!"

"Aw!" the children groaned while the half-demon was passed to his mother, the brown and amber eyes meeting each other before the boy turned to look at the ground, his feet reaching to touch the wood, his chubby fingers gripping the front of her robe, his mother's delicate appendages against his back as the boy found his balance.

"You both promised me three hours a week with studying languages!" Sesshomaru interrupted, "this is your third hour in the week, just get it done!"

"But we spend all week on those dumb things," InuYasha interrupted, "who needs to learn this stuff?"

"You do," his brother informed him, his eyes flickering to look at his son laughing up at his mother while he tried to teeter around on unsteady legs, "you and Kagome! Now, get back too it!"

"But Yuki doesn't have to," InuYasha pointed out, his nephew turning to the sound of his name with confusion in his eyes.

"Yuki is two," Rin pointed out, "and you are most certainly not, so, on with it!"

"But-"

"We are not having this argument again!" Sesshomaru told them firmly, "now, stop giving Mrs. Yamamoto a heart condition and go back to your lessons!"

InuYasha and Kagome pouted as they looked towards each other, the begging glances shot Rin's way in hopes for her sympathy.

"I won't overrule Sesshomaru," Rin told them, "but… perhaps… if you can convince Mrs. Yamamoto, then perhaps you can have five minutes to yourselves as a break…"

Cheering their thanks to the young woman, both kids hugged her tightly before they bolted to find their teacher, the brown eyes watching with a concerned amusement.

"Momma…"

"Sorry Yuki," Rin smiled down at her child, her hand reaching touch the back of the white hair, "hello Yuki."

"Hewo," the boy mumbled, his hands reaching for her the piece of silken cloth his mother had in her hands.

"This is for you," the young woman explained to her eldest, the boy's fingers running over the light blue material, his eyes caught by the silver snowflakes, "it's warmer for winter. Do you like it?"

"Pwetty," Yuki mumbled, his smile pulling at the corners of his lips as he turned to look up at his kind mother, "pwetty wike momma."

"Your daddy's been telling you things again," Rin giggled lightly, her own son laughing along with her, her brown eyes flickering to meet her husband's teasing glance.

"Only the truth," Sesshomaru murmured as he leaned towards her to kiss her temples, his wife giggling before she looked down to the twitching ears.

Their baby came about a year after their wedding night, the snow surrounding their manor one of the worse the demon had ever seen. The howling wind, billowing snow, the nipping cold, none of it mattered to them, not while Rin was screaming in pain, giving birth to their first child.

Sesshomaru was grateful that both InuYasha and Kagome had grown to like the servants in his household, meaning that he could stay with the woman he loved while she suffered in order to bring their child to his first breath; Sesshomaru not wanting the two young children to see Rin in her state.

He had been as encouraging as he could be, shushing her and calming her strained body, holding her hand and head, running his fingers through her long hair as she cried and yelled. She had done this before, alone and much younger; now, she was grateful that someone she loved was with her, someone that would always be there for her.

Their baby's cries were a welcome sound, Sesshomaru having to resist himself from moving over to look at his fist born, preferring to stay with Rin so that she may be the first sight their baby saw. After what seemed like an eternity, their child, swaddled in white silk, was passed to Rin, the young woman taking it in her delicate and shaking fingers, looking down at the baby that had calmed, his amber eyes now looking up to his parents.

Tears slipping down her pale cheeks, Rin looked towards her husband, the demon's own orbs radiating pure love before they both looked towards their baby, their fingers running over the small hands and cheeks.

Their baby was beautiful, soft white locks exactly like his father's, the ears mimicking InuYasha's and his eyes and face seemed to be Rin's, all save for their deep amber colour.

"Hello," Rin had whispered, "hello… my baby…"

Sesshomaru felt pride bubble in his chest, loving how the young woman looked as she held, what they considered to be her first infant. Kagome, while the young woman loved her dearly, never felt like she was Kagome's mother, not that she minded too terribly. They loved each other, that was all that Rin cared about.

The demon's disappearance confused the young woman for a moment before he saw him stand aside to let InuYasha and Kagome, both of whom had been worried about her since they heard her scream in agony at the birth. Rushing to her, Rin smiled gently as she comforted them, her arm lowering to reveal to them the baby that they had been admiring when it grew.

Both were fascinated, their mouths agape before Kagome bravely reached towards him, timidly touching the small arm, following her cousin's instructions to be gentle with the infant. InuYasha was just as gentle, his shocked face turning into a slow smile as the baby shuffled but did not outright cry.

At the mention of the snow by the children, both Rin and Sesshomaru came to the agreement about their baby, more specifically, his name.

Now Yuki was the light of their life, the two careful to balance their baby with their lives, making sure InuYasha and Kagome were cared for as well. The demon had it just as difficult, running his father's country and his new family, Sesshomaru confessing that he wanted nothing more than to just stay with them and forget his duties.

Despite his position, Rin saw the demon as wonderful father, never missing Yuki's milestones, careful with his little brother and Kagome, and always wanting his wife and baby near him.

"SHE SAID YES! SHE SAID YES!"

Screams and jumps made their way to the adults, both Rin and Sesshomaru looking up from their baby to the excited children, both Kagome and InuYasha giggling and laughing happily.

"She said yes!" Kagome repeated, "so can we play for five minutes? Please?"

Rin glanced to the demon, Sesshomaru sighed as he gripped the baby's middle while his son reached to hold his father's kimono, slightly torn between wanting his mother and his father.

"I suppose, since that's what we agreed on, that you may," Sesshomaru murmured, his eyes looking down to his eldest, "but you need to be inclusive to Yuki too."

"Right!"

Bouncing off to the garden, their elders watching the kids move to the garden in search of a ball they left their the day before.

"Thank you," Rin smiled up at him, "sorry to make you to be the bad guy."

"You didn't," the demon assured her, his body moved towards her, the child now able to sit in his parents' lap contently while his father stole a kiss from his mother, his own fingers reaching to run over their second child, the demon just as excited for them as his first.

"SNOW!"

Yuki looked up to the sound of name, confused as to why Kagome, his self-proclaimed "auntie", would call for him while looking up at the sky.

"Not you sweetie," Rin whispered to her son, her hand to his back, "look," her finger guided his amber eyes to the sky where the fat flakes began to fall slowly downward at a leisurely pace, "see?"

Both she and Sesshomaru smiled at the sight of their baby laughing at the awe and wonder falling around him, his hands reaching to grab one or two, confused when they melted in his hands. Looking up to the laughing others, the toddler lifted up off the ground to maneuverer over to his elders, both of his parents easing him to the garden before letting him go.

"It's been three years," Sesshomaru murmured, the two of them watching their toddler shuffle and waddle with the others, Kagome and InuYasha beginning to play happily with him, "everything's changed so much."

"For the better," Rin smiled as she leaned into him, her brown eyes glancing to the covered mountains in the distance before they flickered up to the sky, the first of few flakes falling from the sky.

"It's beginning to snow," the demon voiced her thoughts, his hands reaching out to capture the flakes.

"Nothing like what I used to see," the young woman pointed out, her chocolate orbs meeting his amber ones, the demon smiling softly as he lowered for a chaste kiss.

"Are you thankful?" Sesshomaru asked once they parted, "to be out of that life?"

"You ask me that every time the snow falls," Rin teased, her finger reaching to touch his nose, "and every time I tell you the same thing," her lips meeting his a second time, "I'm thankful that you came into it, every day of my life I will be thankful."

"Though it is I who should be thankful for you," the demon murmured, his fingertips gently sliding over their second child, "in my time of need, you gave my brother and I shelter and warmth while asking for nothing and then, you gave me love, and our two children," his amber eyes glanced to both Kagome and InuYasha, "well, two of our own, anyway."

Rin laughed lightly as she leaned comfortably to the demon, her eyelids fluttering closed as she rested her head against his chest, her dark orbs looking towards their happy child playing with the others.

"Sesshomaru," the young woman whispered, her eyes looking up to his now melted honey, "am I wrong… to be thankful for the blizzard?"

Sesshomaru looked down at her softly, his nose running gently along hers.

"Why should you be?" Sesshomaru whispered, his lips hovering before they met, "I am."

Sooo? Thanks for the ride guys, I really hope you liked it!
