The sound of the Battlefield loomed over everyone. The only thing that could be heard was the screams of pain from those being stabbed or mall to death. the sky was dark and then given as the snow started to fall upon both of the army sides. among the fighting, you could hear some people yelling to push forward to push back to keep going.
Near the back by the camp of the Army's where the Frost Giants were low he stood there with his fellow small borns looking over the Box. The box is beautifully engraved with crystals and moondust bright blue lights came from inside despite going in there where there was nothing.
It was really lovely to behold honestly. Just placing their hands around the Box you could feel the hump of magic just beneath. It was powerful. It was no wonder that so many sought its power. There was so much that he didn't know though. Even though he had been a prince all his life low-key didn't know the single thing about this magical box that could possibly save them all.
"Everyone stand back," Love you sad as he placed his hands just around the corner of the Box feeling the Engravings and the art put into this object.. "All right... I need the two of you to focus on me. We're going to link up our powers together."
"What if it doesn't work? What if we fail? What if?" Gang worried. "What if it's for not?"
"We don't have time for what if! All we can do is try station Pointe, please... Just try." Beil said as he rushed to put his hands on one corner of the box. "Loki… there's not enough of us!"
"We'll have to try!" Loki called as kept hold of his side. True there were only three of them. It was not enough they should have been four to be able to keep a steady hold on the magic from inside. Looking up Loki narrowed his eyes looking at the moon that had stayed in the sky despite the sun. "Just link up with me, we can do this! Come on now, this is why we were born, remember?! To give life!"
The two nodded as they closed their eyes. This was their purpose to give life to all their people. Whether it be helping to grow the food or to heal those who cannot be healed alone but to give up their life for their planet this was the purpose they were born into.
When their swords met and let out a deafening clang. Laufey had shrunk down to Odin's height. Had he stood in his normal form it left wide openings for the other King. The blast from their powers had sent them both back a good twenty feet.
Swinging his sword around as it transformed into a bow Laufey held it up as an ice arrow formed. He shot at the god rapidly trying to use his golden eyes to focus on a weak point. As he moved closer firing off each ice arrow Odin advanced swinging his spear around managing to knock or shattered the arrows away.
With each spin, twist and hit of his spear Odin got closer to Laufey. The Joton always did have a skill of magic where he could change his weapon accordingly. As three arrows came his way Odin shouted as he had to move quickly shatter two and nearly missing the last one by an inch as it flew by.
"Close one, not close enough," Odin turned to him his only viable eye narrowed at the other. "Norns how I hate those damn eyes."
AIming another arrow Laufey narrows his eyes before releasing another arrow as it burst into five more. Jumping back onto a small mound of snow he continued to let loose arrows. At the same time, he had to dodge bits of lightning firing at him. Moving back a little Laufey hissed as one came a little too close to him.
With a swing of his spear, Odin summoned a large bolt heading right at Laufey cursing when the other managed to evade it by falling flat down to the ground before jumping back up. As the ice arrows came at him he sliced them down before moving forward.
Eyes closed Loki could feel his markings starting to warm up from the magic or maybe it was the burning that came with it. Either way, it was nowhere near when he had first tried to use his power. There was a small peace settling as he linked up with Beil and Gang. Their natures peaceful and comforting. Even though they lacked another he was sure they could harness enough of the power from.
The coolness that ran over him felt wonderful peaceful. Something that his magic never had even when learning from the best. There was a hum coming from the Casket of Ancient Winters buzzing from his fingertips spreading through his whole body.
Only a few feet away Alie and Ran stood guarding over them watching as the small borns markings starting to glow softly. Alie stepped forward slightly eyes wide seeing the gray markings on the Prince slow melt away until the glowed just as brightly as the others.
"Norns… please bless us with your sight to win this war, to be at peace," Loki whispered softly as the snow began to drift up around them. "Guide us not only to victory but more importantly to peace…"
Soon the Casket lite up with a pulse that surges through the land cause those close by to fall. Yelling out Alie managed to jump up as fast as she could catching Beil who had gone flying. She grabbed him shielding him from the arrows and knives flying around.
Rna had gotten to Loki catching him before he hit the ground, the casket now fitting perfectly between his hands as it continued to pulse like a heartbeat. Gasping Loki held it close as he smiled. Now he knew what to do and how to do it.
Yelling Gang was falling downwards arms and legs swinging as fear took over him. There was no way he was going to survive the landing. This was it, death was coming for him. Hopefully it was kind enough not to let him suffer, still, Gang was scared as he could feel the impact of the cold ground.
"Gang…!" A voice cried as suddenly the air was nearly knocked out of the small born as he was caught scoop up in strong arms. As they started downward no longer off balanced in a death fall Gang looked up at the man spoke. "Are you alright?"
"Balder?!" Gasp a breathless Gang as he was in shock but he held up before a soft smile overtook him as they landed easily. "Thank you,"
"Aye, now," Balder set him down before swinging his Ax at two soldiers charging at them. "I shall take care of them. You get somewhere safe!"
Standing there for a long moment Gang was in shock before someone grabbed his wrist, maybe it was Beil, but all he could really think of was "Wow,"
"You can be in awe later!" Beil yelled as he ran back towards a safe place to hide. "We need to get out of here now!"
Grunting Laugfey shifted his bow into a shield trying to block the violent strikes coming his way. Gasping as his arms hurt from how strong they were hitting. Odin wasn't holding back at all. It was getting hard to hold him off.
With another blast, Laufey gritted his teeth trying to dig his hand into the snow but failing. There was no way to beat Odin like this. He had to think, find an opening, a way to get to the Aseir. Eying the man Laufey held up the sheld as Odin charged at him lifting the sparking spear high before ramming it into the sheld.
Maybe a split second but Laufey had gotten the shield up in time but the shock of the lightning had mixed with the magic in his weapon causing a small explosion between them. Being blowback the King landed hard on his back gasping for air as he took in a few deep breaths eyes going wild.
Sword?! Where was his sword?! Golden eyes darting around despite how his vision seemed to slow down with as he was seeing stars, as well as vertigo, nearly causing the Joton to fall back over. Soon he could see his sword about eight feet away. Struggling to get up dodging swords and weapons he was almost able to grab it when he was struck in his back harshly.
"AAARUGH…!" Luafey screamed, so much so that he couldn't believe it was him as he crashed to the ground gasping and shaking as his body flared in pain. "Ugh, ahh,"
"Enough of these games," Odin walked over kicking the sword just out of reach of the outreached blue arm. Using the bottom of his boot Odin pushed Laufey onto his back as he kneels down grabbing the other around his neck squeezing a bit. One hand came up grabbing the armor ice slightly frosting over it but the armor didn't break or give. "That won't work this time. Now, any last words before I kill you?"
Gasping as his airway was all but cut off Laufey glanced at his sword before looking back at Odin and his spear. With a glare, he struggled a little more before smirking slightly as stifled laugh was bearly able to leave his mouth.
"You think this death is amusing?"
"You think that I am only good with my sword?" Laufey gave a half smirk before grabbing both hands to the wrist of the arm. Kicking off the ground with his feet he twisting sideways before grabbing Odin around the neck with his legs. Twisting before the spear could be plunged into his chest Laufey rolling them over managing to slam Odin onto the ground forcing him to let go. Moving quickly Laufey grabbed his sword twirling it before taking a stance. "You should not underestimate me!"
"That was a welled played trick." Odin stood actually impressed by the turnabout before he held up his spear eyeing the other. He could tell that Laufey was tired, judging by the way his chest was heaving after be shocked badly, the way his arms trembled trying to keep up a defensive stance. "This fight is over, Laufey, just accept your fate."
Bearly able to speak Laufey held up his sword even though it felt so weighted now. "I am not the one who shall perish here today."
"So, you shall die a fool." Odin lifted his spear up high as lighting came down charging a spear up before he pointed it at Lafey. "Farewell, Laufey."
Lighting blasted out from the spear with a deafening clash of power.
