Stacie shot up from her bed when there was a loud knock at her door. She looked around and rubbed her eyes, sighing when she saw the clock and it read 12pm. The knocking continued until Stacie eventually reached her door and opened it.
"Jesus Christ, what's the emergency?" Stacie opened it, seeing both Chloe and Beca standing in front of her.
"You're the emergency," Chloe said nonchalantly. Both women shoved their ways past the taller woman and made disgusted faces.
"Holy shit Stacie, when's the last time you left your room let alone cracked a window? It smells like you fucked Shrek last night or some shit." Beca unlocked the window and lifted it up.
"Nice to see you too," Stacie replied sarcastically. "Now what are you guys doing here?"
"Well seeing as it's been a month since Aubrey left you and you're still sitting alone in your room depressed." Chloe pointed out. "We came here to help you," she smiled.
Stacie shook her head and sat down on her bed. Before she could say anything there was another knock at the door. Beca quickly opened it.
"Jesus Christ it smells like a dead dingo in here." Amy walked in and had a look of disgust on her face.
"What's going on here?" Stacie raised a questioning eyebrow.
"This is an intervention, it was Amy's idea." Beca took a seat on the bed, followed by Chloe who sat on her lap.
"Intervention…?" Stacie cocked her head to the side.
"Yes intervention. It's been a month since Aubrey dumped you at the party. Seeing as she's moved on, I think it's about time you do as well." Amy bluntly replied. Stacie shook her head and frowned.
"Why do you have to remind me about the fact she's with that fuck-head Jesse again?" Stacie sighed and got up from her bed. She walked over to the window and stared outside. "Guys, I appreciate what you're all trying to do but I don't want to move on, I want Aubrey." She looked back at the three girls who were now smiling.
"Why are you all smiling?" Stacie asked confused.
"We were hoping you'd say that," Chloe winked.
"Wait what? I'm confused."
"We're going to help you get Blondie back but you need to be willing to get the hell out of bed." Amy approached Stacie and scrunched her face in disgust. "And for all that is holy would you please take a shower."
"She doesn't want anything to do with me. I've tried to talk to her tons of times; I'm all out of options." Stacie frowned.
"Well then you must not be thinking outside of the box, are you?" Chloe got up from Beca's lap and approached Stacie. "You need to think big if you plan on winning her back, or at least getting her to hear you out."
"Think big how?" Stacie asked, once again confused.
"Jesus Christ you're terrible at this. Think of something that you know she'll love, that will get her attention." Beca was the last to get up from her seating position on the bed. All three girls walked to the front door and turned to face Stacie.
"We'll be back later. You think of a plan, we'll help you succeed. If you're not going to class, at least do something useful with your day." Chloe gave her a small smile.
"Good luck." Amy called out as she walked out of the room. Beca and Chloe followed close behind her, hand in hand.
Stacie collapsed on her bed as her mind went into overdrive thinking about the conversation that just took place. She liked the girls idea of doing something big to win Aubrey back, but what in the hell could she do that would be big enough to fix her royal fuck up?
x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
"Are you sure this was a good idea?" Stacie nervously asked Amy.
"Mate, we've spent all week planning this out. You're not going to back out last minute. Anyways, it's a great idea and I'm actually surprised you came up with it…no offense." She smirked.
"Yeah it surprised me too so none taken." Stacie sighed. "Are the rest of the girls almost here?"
"Yes, Chloe had just text me. They're already here and just parking. I'm surprised you convinced all these girls to help you. I mean we all love Aubrey, but she wasn't exactly the easiest to work with back in the day." Amy sighed.
"Well it took a bit of bribing and lots of practising, but I think we're good to go."
"I hope so because your girl just showed up and she's not alone." Amy peaked outside of the curtain and gestured for Stacie to come look.
"Shit, she brought him? Fuck this isn't going to work, this was such a bad idea and…" Stacie was cut off when she felt a hand grab her shoulder from behind. She turned around and faced Chloe, who was calmly smiling at her.
"You'll be fine, stop being nervous. Do the best you can and if it doesn't work then at least you can say you tried your best." Chloe grabbed the other woman and tightly hugged her. "We'll be on the side cheering you on, okay?" Chloe gestured to behind her where Beca was standing and smiling.
"I have faith in you, Stace. You're Stacie fucking Conrad, are you really going to let tiny nerves beat you?" Beca attempted to pump the other woman up.
"Thanks Becs that means a lot coming from you," Stacie smirked. "You're right though. What am I getting nervous over? I'm going to go out there and own this shit!" Stacie breathed out.
"Okay, we'll see you later." Chloe patted Stacie on the back. "Good luck." Chloe and Beca both walked to the side of the stage leaving Stacie and Amy standing there alone.
Amy went to speak up but before she could five other girls walked into the room and happily greeted both women.
"Ladies, are you ready to rock this?' Amy asked. Everyone nodded and looked over at Stacie. "Aubrey has no idea why she's here. All I told her was that I was putting something special together and needed her opinion. So let's just go out there and do this, okay?" Amy asked.
Stacie nodded and grabbed a mic. She looked back at the other girl's and took a deep breath. She then looked over at Chloe and Beca whom without a word pulled the curtains on the stage wide open.
Aubrey's attention was immediately brought to the front stage where she saw Stacie standing there with six other girl's behind her. Before Aubrey could even think of reacting the girls began making music with their mouths. A familiar beat ran through Aubrey's ears as her wide eyes focused of Stacie who opened her mouth and started the lyrics to 'Over and over' by Nelly.
Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh
Uh uh uh
'Coz it's all in my head
I think about it over and over again
And I can't keep picturing you with him
And it hurts so bad
Yeah 'coz it's all in my head
I think about it over and over again
I replay it over and over again
And I can't take it, I can't shake it, no
I can't wait to see you
Wanna see if you still got that look in your eye
That one you had for me
Before we said our goodbyes
And it's a shame that we gotta spend our time
Being mad about the same things
Over and over again about the same things
Over and over again
Oh, but I think she's leavin'
Aw man, she's leavin'
I don't know what else to do
Can't go on not lovin' you
Aubrey watched Stacie in amazement as she continued to belt out the lyrics. Not only was she shocked that the girl knew how to sing, but she was also floored that she was willing to go out of her way and perform with a bunch of other people. Jesse looked over at Aubrey with a confused look as he saw a tear fall from the corner of her eye.
"Aubrey, what the hell is going on here?" Jesse asked. Aubrey ignored him as she watched Stacie jump down from the stage and slowly approach her, as she continued to sing.
I remember the day you left
I remember the last breath you took right in front of me
When you said that you'd leave
I was too damn stubborn to try to stop you or say anything
But I see clearly now
And this choice I made keeps playin' in my head
Over and over again playin' in my head
Over and over again
Oh, but I think she's leavin'
Aw man, she's leavin'
I don't know what else to do
I can't go on not lovin' you
'Coz it's all in my head
I think about it over and over again
And I can't keep picturing you with him
And it hurts so bad
Aubrey looked up at Stacie as she continued to sing. Her heartbeat sped up as the lyrics rang through her ears. She couldn't help but admire the girl's voice, and the balls she had for doing this.
"Seriously Aubrey, answer me. What in the fuck is going on?" Jesse started to get angry. Aubrey snapped her head back and glared at the guy. She then turned back to face Stacie who was close to finishing the song. She reached out her hand and held it in front of Aubrey.
Aubrey was hesitant at first, but reluctantly reached out and grabbed her extending hand. Stacie pulled her up from her seat and stared in her eyes as she finished up the song.
Now that I that realize that I'm going down
From all this pain you put me through
Every time I close my eyes, I lock it down
Ohh, I can't go on not lovin' you
'Coz it's all in my head
I think about it over and over again
And I can't keep picturing you with him
And it hurts so bad
Yeah 'coz it's all in my head
I think about it over and over again
I replay it over and over again
And I can't take it, I can't shake it
Stacie finished the last of the lyrics and slowly lowered the mic.
"I know I don't deserve it, but would you be willing to listen to me for a minute?" Stacie pleaded. Aubrey gave the woman a firm look.
"You have exactly a minute, go." She replied.
"I messed up so bad Aubrey."
"You're pointing out the obvious," Aubrey smirked.
"Would you let me finish?" Stacie couldn't help but smile at the other woman. Aubrey nodded.
"I used to live my life only thinking about myself, never other people. I treated my friends like shit, my parents like shit, teachers like shit and girls I liked like shit. Then you came along and something about you made me feel different. I didn't want to treat you like shit; I only wanted to make you happy. Yes, I started talking to you because of some stupid bet me and my childish friends made but that didn't last long. I quickly started falling for you and before I knew it, the bet was out of my head and getting you to be my girlfriend replaced it. I will always regret hurting you the way I did, and I know it's going to be hard to trust me…but if you give me the chance…I promise I will spend every second with you making up for my dumb mistakes. You make me want to be better and I love you for that. I love you because you bring out the best in me and…" Stacie sighed as she stared at Aubrey, who now had tears falling from her eyes.
"And no one has ever been able to do that. You're special to me, and I'm not willing to let you go." Stacie finished. "I refuse to."
Aubrey felt a hand grab her from behind.
"Aubrey, would you mind explaining to me what the fuck is going on here?" Jesse snapped, fed up over being confused. Aubrey looked over at Stacie and frowned.
"I'm sorry, this just isn't going to work," she whispered. She then turned her body to face Jesse. "You're a really great guy Jesse, but this isn't going to work. I'm so sorry."
"Wait what?" Jesse took a step back in confusion.
"I'm in love with this girl, and I have been for the last two months. It was wrong for me to date you again when I knew this and for that I'm sorry, but I can't do this." She frowned. Jesse looked back and forth between both women, frowning. He then finished looking at Aubrey and nodded. Without another word he walked away and left the two women standing there alone.
Aubrey looked back at Stacie and smiled.
"So, you have my attention…what next?"
Stacie smiled as she slowly leaned in closer to Aubrey. Her eyes trailed back and forth between the girl's eyes and lips.
"I guess this is the part where we kiss and make up?" She whispered as her lips moved closer to Aubrey's.
"Wow so cliché…but I like it." Aubrey replied before finishing the distance between them. Their lips connected and moved together in motion as butterflies exploded in their stomachs. Stacie wrapped her arms tightly around Aubrey's waist, pulling her in as close to her as possible. Both girls kissed until they were out of breath. Stacie pulled back and smiled.
"So Aubrey Posen… Would you want to be my girlfriend?" Stacie shuffled her foot against the ground nervously.
"I would love nothing more," Aubrey replied. She then wrapped her arms around Stacie's neck and pressed their lips together once again.
Chloe grabbed Beca's hand and lightly squeezed it. She then leaned into the DJ's ear.
"So does this mean we can double date now?" She whispered. Beca laughed and playfully slapped the other woman.
"God Beale, you're so lame." She smiled as she looked over at her girlfriend. "But I love you so much, you know that right?"
Chloe nodded her head and gently pressed her lips to Beca's.
"And you know that I love you too, and I always will." She mumbled against her lips. "Let's promise each other to stay far away from any sort of drama from now on, deal?" Chloe pulled back and smiled at her girlfriend. Beca nodded her head and slowly leaned into the other woman once again.
"Deal," she finished before pressing their lips together again.
A/N: So I would like to thank everyone for sticking with me through this story. I am so sorry it took so long to finish, but I lacked the motivation I used to get. I hope you all enjoyed the ending, and feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks again everyone!
