Gray's POV

Hours ago…

Today was the day. Lucy Heartfilia's wedding with Hibiki Lates on a nearby chapel. I was still at my apartment, lying down while my hand was placed on my heart. It was already 9 am in the morning and I still wasn't changing into the tux Hibiki gave us.

I sighed and stood up, took a quick shower then changed into the tux. I groaned when I can't do the tie until I gave up. I looked at myself in front of the mirror.

I was about to go out when someone knocked that surprised me, I opened the door and saw Natsu with Happy both of them wearing the same tux as mine.

"Flamebrain, what do you want?" I asked rudely that made him smirk, on first I was confused because he's being weird "Ready for the plan, popsicle?" he asked that made Happy's eyes widen

"Hey Natsu, what plan are you two talking about?" "Nothin..." Natsu grinned while I just facepalmed myself.

"Hey Gray... What plan is Natsu talkin about?" I looked at the blue exceed who was doing puppy dog eyes... 'Weird cause he's a cat' I thought then sighed.

"It's a plan on how to stop the wedding." I explained Happy the whole plan then he now joined Natsu but he kept on shouting "You liiiiiikkeeeeeeeee herrrrrrr" That made me facepalm myself again. "I can't believe that someone would like Lucy" Happy shouted to Natsu.

I looked at the wall clock 'Only minutes left. We gotta go now' I thought to myself.

"Hey Ashbrain, Happy" I shouted to them. Both of them looked at me and unisonly said "What is it Gray-chan?"

I rolled my eyes then punched both of them in the head "Don't call me that".

The three of us went outside of my house and walked around the city. "Hey Gray. Let's go to the chapel now" Natsu mumbled while looking at the sky. I just nodded and followed him..

A lady selling heart balloons and roses caught my eye, "Hey Natsu.. I'll just do something before going there.. Just head first" he sighed and nodded. I went to the lady and smiled "How much are those?" she smiled back "1 rose is 40 jewels while the balloons are 50.." I took out my wallet and gave her the money "I'll buy 2 balloons and 3 roses" she chuckled and looked at me "Giving it to your girl eh?" she smirked while I felt a smile come to my face "Not yet.." I whispered.

She nodded and smiled "Well, good luck getting her." she shouted while I walk away. I feel some people staring at me but I didn't mind them. I just kept walking until I reached the small chapel. I heard giggles and the priest talking then when the priest asked about objection, I can see from the window Lisanna and Natsu looking at the door.

I smiled 'I guess this is my cue.' I kicked the door and shouted "I OBJECT!" I felt stares watching me, and I can see the girl of my life giggling in front.

I started walking the aisle and then looked at Hibiki "Sorry dude... She's mine!" then held her waist and lifted her up while her face was facing back, then I ran as fast as I can.

Some guards were chasing me but I used my Ice magic to make the floor ice and I skated my way. "G-gray!" Lucy shouted making me smile.

I headed towards the place that was full of cherry blossoms then put her down, she started karate chopping my head and smacking my arm "Ow! Hey Stop that!" she just kept doing it while I sigh. Then I handed her the two heart balloons "Here.. I'm sorry..." I sighed then looked down.

I felt her staring at me for the moment then took the balloons "It's okay Gray.." she smiled and held my hand, my cheeks started being hot but I sighed and kept looking down.

"Come on... It's really okay and why did you object?" she looked at me curiously while my face flushed in embarrassment. I covered my face with my hand and looked at her.. "U-umm y-you see.." I sighed and looked down.

"Gosh.. I suck at explaining." then I looked at her straight in the eyes, she blushed "I guess all I have to do is show.." I said before pressing my lips to hers, I slowly closed my eyes and held the side of her face. Her lips was soft and cold. I pulled away after awhile, not wanting to do anything we would regret.

She looked at me with wide eyes and blushed hard. "G-gray..." she whispered and placed a hand on her lip, touching it. I sighed and ran my hands through my hair "I'm sorry for that... It's just.." I sighed and then took a deep breath.

"Lucy.. I love you..." then handed her the three roses and looked down blushing hard. Gosh, I felt like a stupid geek confessing his love for the popular girl. Geeks are scared being rejected, maybe I'm one cause I'm afraid to get rejected. But all I heard was a giggle.

I stared at her and blushed as she kept giggling "What's so funny?" a blush was on my face as I look at her "Your so cute Gray.." then she looked at me blushing and leaned closer to me.. "I love you too.." she smiled and pressed her lips to mine.

My eyes widen as I look at her blushing hard, this girl... the girl of my love.. She's kissing me! I'm not rejected. I felt my heart beating so fast and it started fluttering.

She held the kiss and kept her eyes closed, I slowly closed my eyes and kissed back. The kiss was passionate and sweet. I can taste her lips, taste like strawberry. Then she pulled away blushing hard.

"Thank you gray.." she whispered and hugged me tight, I wrapped my arms around her and smiled. This day... the day I confessed... The day I did the stupidest thing... was the best day of my whole life...

Then I pulled away a little and looked at her "What about the wedding?" she shrugged and smiled "Let them be... I'm happy already.." then kissed me on the lips while I kissed back...

"I'll always be here for you.." I whispered on her ear before pulling her home..
