AN: This is the last chapter I realize that it has been almost two years since I've updated this story, but I had some free time. Here it is I hope you enjoyed this story.

One year later

Erin walked around the hospital, searching for one or both of her mothers. She had finished her tutoring session and was ready to go home. She made her way onto the surgical floor and read the board. Callie was in OR 1 doing a hip replacement. "Boring" she said to herself. Arizona was in OR 3 assisting Yang with a heart transplant. "That looks good"

She made her way to the observatory room and sat down in one of the chairs to watch. The room was empty. Erin pulled the chair up as close to the window as she could. She pulled out a notebook and flipped furiously through it finding no empty pages.

"Dammit" She exclaimed throwing the book behind her, and slouching.

She was staring up at the ceiling so she didn't see her mother in the OR room raise her head to look at her daughter.

"Erin Rose I don't care if you almost have your GED you will watch your language." Her mothers voice made her jump and turn around to empty door way.

She slowly turned her head to the window and met to blue eyes shooting darts into her.

"I-I-I'm sorry? How did you hear that?" She asked tilting her head.

"The speaker is on. The whole OR heard your exclamation." Yang said without moving her eyes from her work.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Erin said her face beat red with embarrassment. She slouched back into her chair and watched her mother's head return to the child on the OR table.

After about thirty more minutes Arizona let Yang close up and looked up to see her daughter sound asleep in the chair.

She texted Callie, who would surely be finished by now, and proceeded to scrub out.

Callie walked into the observatory room over to her daughter and placed her hands on her hips. She bent over at the waist and brought her face close to the blondes.

"Aren't you supposed to be studying the surgeries not sleeping through them?" Erin screamed and jumped out of the chair.

"Ugh Mom!" She shouted hearing Yang's chuckling form the OR room. "It's not funny Christina. It would really suck if I had another heart attack, especially after all of your hard work last time." She said pointedly, bending down to pick up her discarded pens and notebook.

"Yea you're right that would suck, Callie don't ruin all of my hard work." Yang teased.

"Right it's my fault, always." Callie said placing her hand over her chest in offense.

"Yes it is." Arizona said sauntering in the room wrapping and arm around her daughter shoulder. "What's your mothers fault now?" She said audibly whispering into the blondes ear.

"Apparently I almost gave her a heart attack." Callie said throwing her hands in the air in defeat.

"She did I heard it." Yang added.

Arizona laughed. "Well I'm sure she didn't do it on purpose. Now let go or we'll be late."

The women said good bye to Yang and headed back to their apartment. There were streamers, balloons, and party hats.

"You didn't tell your sister did you?" Arizona said tying off another balloon.

"I'm the daughter that keeps secrets remember Sofia's the one with the big mouth." Erin said lifting herself onto the kitchen counter opening a water bottle.

Baily walked over to Callie handing her the other end of the banner. "Of course she can't never could. When she was little she told your mothers all about our ice cream adventures when I had to watch you."

"Yep, sure did." Arizona said throwing the balloon into the air. She stood and walked over to the kitchen. "Hey." She said getly smacking her daughters hip. "Off."

Erin sighed dramatically and slid off the counter. "I don't understand why I can't sit on the counter. Just the other day mom lifted you up there when you were 'cleaning dishes'" She said making air quotes.

Alex snorted causing the balloon in his mouth to deflate. Arizona playfully smaked Erin over the head. "Who can't keep secrets now?"

"Ow, Mom she hit me again." Erin whined.

"Good" Callie not looking from her work. "Shit, I can't get this damn thing to stay up here.

"Watch your language." Erin mocked. Falling down on the couch next to Alex, who gave her a balloon. "Nope I can't blow up balloons. I get too frustrated when I can't tie it and that never ends well."

"I am painfully aware of what you can accomplish when you are frustrated." A voice said from across the room.

"Surprise!" Arizona screamed quickly smiling.

"Ok maybe I did tell her to come home early." Erin grinned dodging looks from her mother on the latter.

"So do I still need to put this thing up, Arizona. It's not cooperating." She said letting it fall.

Arizona scoffed. "Of course we do, it's still a party."

"Don't worry I'll get it." Erin rushed over to the latter and took the brunettes place, taking the corner of the banner Baily had picked up, she shoved the tack harshly into the wall. "There, maybe your not as strong as you think you are mom." She said jumping from the stool.

Erin lost her footing and fell over onto the ground. Everyone rushed over to her.

"You okay?" Arizona asked worried.

"You know I remember falling used to hurt more." She said looking at her hand to check for bruising. Instead she just saw the faint scars on her hands. She went off into her own world not aware that all eyes were on her. The small blonde traced one of them slowly, swallowing hard.

"It's been a year." That's all she said. Callie helped her stand, taking her daughters hands in hers.

"And look how far you've come." The brunette said looking into blue eyes.

"Yea I guess I have." Erin said looking around at everyone in the room. "I still have my hard days though." She mumbled.

"We all have rough patches, but it helps to have people by your side through it all. And you've got a big family, kid." Alex said patting her on the back.

"Hey I thought this was supposed to be a party, I brought the tequila." A voice boomed through the apartment as Yang and Grey burst through the door.

"Meredith, maybe the tequila was a bad idea. Sophia isn't even 21 yet, and it's not even a birthday party." Derek said following the two women. "They already had a head start." He said winking at Erin.

"Yea this party is a congratulatory party for Sophia's big money scholarship." Erin exclaimed walking over to Meredith. "However I would love to try tequila." She took the bottle out.

"Not today" Christina whispered winking.

"Not for another couple of years thank you." Arizona said taking the bottle from her daughter hand, who pouted.

"Isn't this my party?" Sophia said taking the bottle from her mother.

Callie yanked the bottle out of the younger brunette's hands. "Yes it is and I made punch."

"Punch it is!" Erin shouted. "Let's eat I'm starved."

Everyone laughed loudly. Erin knew that she still had a lot of work cut out for her, but she also knew that she had several loved ones to help her. She was going to be just fine.
