Summary: After returning from the future, Tsuna's friends start avoiding her, and after Enrico return to claim the position of Vongola Decimo... they betrayed her. Unable to watch his beloved granddaughter suffer, Vongola Primo send her far away, to Fiore, with the hope of helping her heart heal. Unfortunately for Tsuna, her life is never easy and she first has to go through a lot of hardships before she can be happy. Fairy Tail will now have to deal with her and her many secrets, what in the world is she hiding? Will she be able to find happiness?

Prologue

― The Meaning Of Friends ―

(The Lies We Live With)

Normal PoV

After returning for the future Sawada Tsunami thought things would come back to normal. Well, as normal as it can be when you were Sawada Tsunami.

But she was wrong.

A few days after their return, her mother, Sawada Nanako, was involved in a car accident... and died.

Her fa- Sawada Iemitsu blamed her. Which was a stupid thing to do because Tsunami was nowhere in the vicinity when it happened, and instead at school.

The sun Arcobaleno Reborn and her guardians left Tsunami alone with the excuse that they were giving her 'space'. In reality they were busying themselves with other things and made Tsunami see herself as a distraction to them. Gokudera Hayato, the Storm Guardian, joined the occult and music club, and was always with his new buddies. Yamamoto Takeshi, the Rain Guardian returned to the baseball club and was busy with incoming games. Sasagawa Ryohei aka "Onii-san," the Sun Guardian, managed to make a few people join the boxing club and was training them. Dokuro Chrome was finally having time to experience being a normal girl after Tsunami was able to find real organs for her, including a new eye. And her former home tutor went around the world with rest of the Arcobaleno after the curse was lifted, since they didn't have time to really enjoy the places they visited before because of the curse. The only one Tsunami had heard from was Mammon, and that was just because he visited her and the Varia from time to time.

But Tsunami knew better. They were scared of her, her so called friends and guardians...

After all, Tsunami did kill Byakuran in the future.

Why couldn't they understand that she didn't want to? That she didn't mean to? Why are they judging her like this? Gokudera was in the mafia way before Tsunami had been introduced, and had killed many already. She had told Yamamoto countless of times that there was no mafia game and that at some point they would have to sacrifice lives even if Tsunami despised the mere idea of killing or even hurting someone else. And Chrome, sweet and shy Chrome saw the brunette now with so much disgust and fright. Why was she looking at Tsunami like that? Mukuro has killed entire famiglias and she keep looking at him like he had never done anything at all! Why couldn't she look at Tsunami like that too? What did the brunette ever did to deserve this kind of treatment? Every time she tried to talk with her 'friends' they would apologize and say they were busy doing who knows what, before running away with their other friends. Even Kyoko, Haru and Hana. They even tried to keep Lambo, I-pin and Fuuta away from her.

It hurt.

All of them were like that except Kyouya and Mukuro ―sometimes also Ken and Chikusa. They were the only ones that stayed by her side, or at least whenever they could.

Kyouya was always trying to keep bullies away from Tsunami, since Gokudera and Yamamoto weren't, but he couldn't be with her all the time. Mukuro always visited the brunette every now and then with Ken and Chikusa, every time they could. They also tried to keep bullies away, but like Kyouya, they couldn't be with her all the time. Not to mention they too were busy taking care of ―as is completely wiping out― famiglias like Esteraneo.

Reborn was a different story. A few days before they came back from the future, Tsunami discovered a diary. The diary from her future self, and there she found the instructions to return the Arcobaleno to their real bodies (A/N: remember, this is a non-cannon!). Then, after they came back and their bodies were restored, the hitman decided to 'confessed' to her. Tsunami being Dame-Tsuna believed him, but not even a week later, and a few days after her mother's death, he left with the rest of the Arcobaleno to travel around the world. Of course, after he promised to write and call every time he could to let the brunette know he was okay.

It had been almost a year, and Tsunami knew nothing about him.

The Varia including Xanxus, Byakuran ―after Tsunami managed to convince Nono that sending him to Vindice would do more bad than good― and Dino-nii, accompanied by Romarion of course, decided to spend more time around the little sky, and moved temporarily to Namimori. They were the ones that had been around lately trying to cheer her up. Xanxus even stopped calling Tsunami trash.

If that wasn't progress, she didn't know what else to call it.

Today was the day Sawada Tsunami graduated from middle school and left behind her childhood days in order to take the next step to adulthood.

That morning Tsunami wished to spend the day with her friends, and almost broke into tears when she realized her dear mother wouldn't be in my graduation.

With one last glance at her room, Tsunami closed the door and left the house. She had the feeling that she wouldn't come back. At least not for a while, that is why she took with her a book Tsunami's mom used to read her when she was little. It talked about a far away place called Fiore, where mages and all kind of creatures lives. Where magic was real. The book talked about a girl called Layla, and her adventures finding friends. Tsunami really liked the story. In a way, Layla she was like her. A lonely girl trying to find a place to fit. Although it seemed that only Layla had been able to find it.

If only Tsunami had realized that everything she knew was actually a lie.
