Lauren approached the pair of women in front of her, women whom still appeared shell shocked. She took her time, her stride confident and elaborate. An expression uncharacteristic of the Doctor adorned her features; her smirk wicked. Eyes that usually resembled a shot of whiskey now seemed bland and soulless as dark circles plagued the half-moon shaped area underneath them.

The valkyrie looked over at her companion; she was gone. Darkness fell around the two lovers, engulfing them both in their own private little cocoon. Nothing else existed but their presence in this surreal reality. Cold fingers brushed against Tamsin's cheek tenderly, a display of affection she was used to.

The valkyrie shook her head, a shaky hand rising to rest against her temple, trying to lift the haze from her mind; it swirled around, making her blissfully unaware of everything else but the woman standing in front of her.

Nothing made sense. Where were they? What was Lauren doing here? She's supposed to be with Dyson and Kenzi, the woman though sparingly. Yet here she was, her beautiful dark blond hair cascading around her shoulders.

The doctor's fingers wrapped themselves around Tamsin's throat, relentlessly squeezing the flesh and denying any air from passing through. "Show me how I make you week at the knees." Lauren's icy tone froze the former Detective's heart, which now lay in a block of ice inside her chest.

Tamsin was still doing her best impression of a marble statue: silent and unmoving. This act lasted until she recognized the maniacal laughter behind the disguise of the figure wearing her girlfriend's skin. "Loki you…ffff-fuckin'…dwarf…prick!" The golden blonde spat harshly through heaved breaths.

Kicking the God's feet from underneath him, her hand caught his throat before he could touch the ground, effectively reversing the roles. In an effortless motion, Tamsin hoisted him up into the air; high enough that she needed to tilt her head upwards to meet his red, glowing eyes. "Where am I!?" Was demanded with a snarl, low and dangerous.

Putting a lid on the parlor trick, he turned back to his original form. The God was no more than four feet tall; the pair of black, curved horns jutting out of his forehead heavily contrasted the pale shade of purple coloring his skin.

Chuckling darkly, Loki held on to the strong hand that was currently crushing his throat. "Go ahead, kill me. You'll never get out of here." The pain she was causing him could not been seen through his fiendish smirk or heard in his high-pitched tenor.

"Maybe I can't kill you, but I'll make you suffer until you answer my question- you horse humping fuck!" The last few words were spoken with unadulterated vehemence.

From his position in the air, he made a motion like he was bringing a phone up against his ear. "Odin's calling." Turning his head away, he nodded a few times as if he had been having a real conversation. Turning back to the valkyrie, Loki spoke, stupidly so: "He says it's time to change your diaper."

Smiling darkly, Tamsin dropped him down without a warning. "How do I get out of here?" She asked in a tone as dangerous as the fire burning in her lightless eyes, watching his every move intently as he stood up and brushed himself off.

"Tell me something, did he breast feed you, or were you bottle-" His taunt was cut short, as the blonde smashed her forehead down right against the bridge of the God's nose; A loud cracking noise loudly announced that the bone didn't survive the sharp impact. Both of her large hands were bawled around the material of his dark robe, her grip preventing him from flying forward into the abyss around them.

Blood trickled down her forehead, but she paid no mind to it. Bringing him closer, their noses almost touched, Loki's feet barely grazing the floor as Tamsin spoke through gritted teeth: "Every time you open your mouth and it's not relevant to answering my question, I'll break something of yours. You're gonna squeal sooner or later, and I don't care which it is."

"All these centuries with humans has made you weak. There was a time where you would have killed me without a second thought."

"I've lived, I've learned-" Her nostrils flared, head cocked sideways as a far-from-friendly-smile graced her lips. "I can't say the same for you, Loki. You're still chasin' trouble like someone stole your lucky charms."

Laughing without a hint of mirth, he knew the price he was going to pay, yet the satisfaction of angering the tall blonde greatly outweighed all the injuries he could suffer. "Tell me, how did you convince tall, bearded and muscular to give you your youth back? Finally learned some things are worth getting on your knees for?" Everything else that left his mouth from that moment on were agony ridden screams.

True to her word, Tamsin snapped his middle finger backwards, twisting it at an angle it could never achieve on its own. "Take your time. I got a lot of bones to go around, and after I'm done breaking all of them I'll rip you limb from limb."

The Icelandic native was expecting another irritating taunt to come from the little man, and surprisingly he simply stared at her; mouth slightly agape. It was only when he coughed up blood did Tamsin's eyes caught sight of a glimmering blade sticking out of his stomach. The tip of the weapon was pressed against Tamsin's heavy armor and she was suddenly grateful that Kenzi forced her to wear it.

Suddenly, she was back on the rooftop with Bo, as well at Loki. The brunette was standing behind the God, a firm hand on his shoulder, while the other tightly grasped the hilt of her sword. Snarling, her blue eyes glowed brighter as she twister the blade from side to side, enjoying the sight of the spilled blood and pain she caused him before he took his last breath.

Bo had to blindly impale her sword at a black portal, praying to the Counsel of Blond Doctors Wearing Lab Coats –it's totally a thing – that she hadn't just thrust fourteen inch of steel into valkyrie flesh. Perhaps a foolish move, the brunette however didn't know what else to do as she watched her ex-enemy and ex-lover sucked into a dark portal.

Both women stared at each other and the one with an almost worrying addiction to leather was the first one to speak: "How many times am I going to have to save your ass, Tammy?"

"Just this once if you keep callin' me that." Tamsin had never meant for her statement to actually be a reality. Hades had stalked behind them, unnoticed. When the blond realized what was happening, Bo was already lying on the ground in a heap, bruised and cut from the rough tumble she took across the roof's vast expanse after she had been thrown around like a ragdoll.

The flames that had been growing in the pit of her stomach suddenly spread through her whole body as if fed kerosene. Tamsin kicked her foot down on the brunette's dropped sword, causing it to spring up in the air. Her hand caught it and with a vicious growl she was thrown into a heated and deadly dance with the leader of the Underworld.

Loud thunder cracked over their heads as heavy rain came down without a warning, fast and furious as if they've been suddenly trapped into a Monsoon – and technically speaking, they were.

Every movement her body made was expertly calculated, as she moved with a warrior-like grace, swinging at her opponent with lethal intentions. No matter what different combinations of the downward strikes, stabbing lunges, and upward cuts she made, they were all avoided by her opponent.

Tamsin was quickly growing frustrated with herself, with her fruitless fighting, with the shitty stinking situation she was in, and the rain…this fuckin' rain! It caused her sure grip on the sword's hilt to be somewhat unstable, as it was bare from leather wrappings, and her vision to become blurry every time a stray drop fell into her eyes.

Knowing her form was gravely suffering from her rising anger, the blond took a moment to gather her wits as she took a step back. Her chest heaved, her teeth gritted. Green eyes surveyed Hades who hasn't made a move to retaliate since the one-sided fight began.

The door to the roof suddenly sprang open and made way to the two equally breathless humans as they dragged Dyson's large body behind them. Tamsin craned her neck at the sound of her name being shouted over the roaring sounds of the elements around them.

Lauren's shirt was coated in the wolf's blood, her hands stained as well. Kenzi's appearance mirrored the doctor's, yet the crimson tint clinging to the fabric of her clothes was less evident against the dark colors covering her body.

Tamsin turned her gaze back onto black and soulless eyes in front of her as she raised her sword, pointing it at the unconscious succubus. "Bo needs help-take her and get out of here!" She commanded loudly over the storm.

"We can't! The water's rising too quickly and it's almost submerged the entire building!" The doctor shouted back. Hastily, she turned and said something to Kenzi then ran to the brunette's limp figure, inspecting the damage. Her skin was cold as the rain chilled her whole body down to a dangerous temperature. Her heart beat was there, although faint.

The valkryie's eyes anxiously darted between the God and her lover, whose attention was directed towards Bo at the moment. She repeatedly flexed and shifted the sword in her hand, knowing she could easily put her body between her friends and Hades in a few long strides, if need be.

"Worry not, child, I have no interests in them-for now. You, however…" A grin slowly spread against his deathly pale face. "Where's the proud valkyrie you once were?"

"Let me give you a grammar lesson-"As if on cue, her face sunk into itself, bones jutting out maliciously and an impenetrable darkness took the place of her her usually lively and sparkling eyes. "'were' is past tense."

Her right foot shifted back, her left one solidly planted on the firm ground as she bent her knees slightly. "The word you were looking for is 'are', present tense."

Tamsin's next words clearly indentified her intensions, her body tightly coiled with energy; saving up for the release. "Used in a sentence: I'm going to enjoy running you through to the hilt."

As the last syllable left her lips, the valkyrie sprung into the air, pushing off with her right foot, as the other one bent at the knee and moved close to her chest. Moving her right shoulder backwards, she lifted the weapon in the same hand. Her left arm was extended forward in front of her, hand half opened.

Swiftly, and still in mid air, she transferred all the weight from her left side to her right as she trust the sword with exploding power being released into every square inch of her straining muscles, aiming for her opponents neck.

As her dominant foot hit the ground first, something prevented her sword from separating Hades' head from his body, and Tamsin suspected it had something to do with his raised hand standing a mere inch away from the sword's sharpened tip.

Growling, she pushed forward, without a hint of reluctance, until all her strength was concentrated into her weapon-wielding arm. It began to shake against the invisible restraint, and her left hand quickly came down on top of the hilt, aiding its counterpart and adding more pressure to her fruitless efforts.

The God began to move closer, each step causing the woman's heavily armored feet to slide back against the drenched ground; even as she tried to dig her heels in the ground, the cement cracked and gave way under the weight of it all, but never did it fully stop her.

"This world is mine to consume and destroy. There is nothing you and your pitiful, cowardly God can do now." The dark voice taunted, slowly.

He could see the woman's will breaking under his limitless power; her face regained her color, as well as her emerald eyes. Eyes which still held a shred of determination, that is until they grew wide with fear as the back of Tamsin's heels touched the raised rim of cement that surrounded the building's edges.

Looking past Hades' shoulder, her gaze locked onto a pair of distressed brown orbs through the thickness of the rain around them. Words of promise and love passed between them, silent to those around, but loud and clear in their hearts.

Hades, mildly disappointed that the rumoured all-powerful valkyrie wasn't much more of a challenge, suddenly bottled up the hold her had on the woman, and lowered his hand.

Both of Tamsin's arms smashed her head, and whole body, backwards as if a tightly coiled spring had been released. The blow was strong enough to knock her unconscious as she toppled over the edge of the high-rise.

Lauren came to a skidded halt against the edge, falling to her knees as she watched her lover plummet gracefully, like a fallen angel, into the endless sea of water. Gentle hands wrapped themselves around her arms, and soft words were whispered in her ear, yet she couldn't tear her eyes away from the angry water below; waves came crashing and engulfed the quickly disappearing form of the valkyrie, as if starved.

One would think that you could only witness the death of loved ones only once, but if you happened to be Lauren Lewis, this statement had very little truth in it. How many times can a person grieve the same lover? How many times can a heart crumble, stitch itself back together and break again? She knew the answer.

Drenched from the relentless rain, a shaky and chilled hand slicked her head back as she turned her head, her empty stare catching sight of the grin on the God's face. The expression caused a low growl that rumbled deep within her chest, stirring up something inside of her she'd never thought possible: murderous intent.

Without a warning, she lunched herself at the man responsible for her lover's death, but her attempts to fulfill the vivid and gory images running through her mind were stopped short as Hades caught the human by the throat, though her feet still touched the ground.

Lauren Lewis knew the answer: twice. Two times she has seen her lover perish, yet had only mourned her death once. She wouldn't-no, couldn't, go through it again. She didn't struggle against the God's grip, didn't cry, and didn't beg him to spare her life.

His confused expression brought forth a smile on her face, and then the doctor started to laugh; long, hearty, uncontrollable laughter.

"Might I ask what is so funny, human?" Hades asked with a snarl on his lips.

"I'm done-I'm done with feeling scared and hopeless. I accept what's coming." Lauren knew there was no pleasure in killing if the person didn't fear you. Power, it's all about power, and it was the blond human who held it in this exact moment, and she knew it. Oh did she know it.

Livid with rage, the God raised the woman up above the edge of the building. Before his hand could carry out what his brain wanted to do, he froze at the sight behind the woman he held.

The valkyrie hovered over behind the pair, wings spread out wide in their glorious grandeur, flapping easily against the pelting rain. The armor that previously protected her chest was gone; her clothes, completely drenched, clung to every muscular curve in her body.

"Are you sure you wanna do that?" Tamsin's darkened eyes bore into the glowing ones below, her face once again a vision of death and decay. The wings on her back peaked upwards as she came down to stand on the edge of the high-rise. They flapped once, settling back to their full length once her boots touched the ground.

"T-Tamsin?" Lauren's small voice barely registered over the storm as she fixed her gaze upon the woman she thought dead. Am I already dead?

"Put her down, you rotten sack of shit."

It's definitely Tamsin, the human smiled as she recognized the voice and the particular use of vulgar words.

And he did; taking a step back, his hand came loose around the doctor's neck after her feet touched the ground once again. He felt the air in his lungs evacuate all at once, as if there was a better offer out there somewhere, as Tamsin's boot forcefully came into contact with his chest.

A smirk firmly etched onto her face, the valkyrie stalked her pray, who was now kneeling in front of her and gasping to regain the oxygen he'd suddenly lost. Lifting her leg once more, she placed her boot on his shoulder, gripped his head with both of her hands and pulled for all she was worth.

Her wings flapped with every tug and after a forth, and final effort, it came loose into her hands. His body shook and then crumpled into a black dust, just like his fallen army had, picked up and forgotten into the wind.

The rain suddenly stopped, the skies were cleared of the dark clouds, making way for a bright, blue sky. The sun warmed Tamsin's back, and the streets cleared of water. Everything was restored to its original state as if the last few weeks hadn't happened at all.

Lauren couldn't take her eyes away from the mighty sight before her: the bright emeralds shinning with happiness, mirroring the large smile on her face. The wings spread out on either side of Tamsin's shoulders and the glow of the sun around her tall and taught figure made her look like those larger than life heroes in comic books and movies. She was truly a magnificent sight to behold; an angel, her angel.

They came together in a fierce embrace; Tamsin tightly wrapped her arms around her lover's waist as her wings folded behind her until the only evidence of them remaining were the two holes in the back of her shirt where they had sprout out from.

Tears came, freely, and unashamed to display the words written on both of the women's hearts. The same two words continuously whispered into Lauren's ear: I'm sorry. After what seemed like hours, the smaller woman pulled back from Tamsin's arms, admiring how the feeling of security clung to her willingly.

"You're glowing." Tamsin remarked, without a hint of flirtation in her tone.

The doctor's smile grew, never guessing that the tall woman was speaking literally, and so she replied: "I was just thinking the same about you."

Chuckling, the valkryie shook her head as she gestured her hand up and down the human's body. "No, I mean you're really glowing."

Looking down at her hands, chocolate eyes grew about ten times their size. She kept turning her hands from face down, to face up, as if the bright, almost yellow glow would disappear when she did so. Though it did, after a few seconds.

The tall blond looked up at the sky, speaking privately to herself: Good. At least you're still keepin' your promises, you old fool. Turning to settle her gaze on the smaller woman's face, Tamsin smiled brightly. "Welcome to immortality. What shall be your first request, my lady?"

Titling her head up, she got lost in sparkling green eyes and all previous animosity she felt towards Tamsin's decision to make her an eternal being was forgotten. "A warm bath." Lauren decided in a weary tone.

Bowing slightly, Tamsin offered her arm to her lover. "Granted."

Laughter came, and not only from the blond in front of her: the wolf, who had managed to push himself up onto his feet, was currently leaning against the door, hunched over as his large hand covered his nearly fatal wound, chuckling at his partner's antics.

"I can only speak for myself when I say that I'm so down with that." The succubus had woken up from her not-so-consensual slumber moments ago, as the sun warmed her body. She and Kenzi were still on the ground, locked in what would be a really awkward half hug if they weren't such close friends, as the tiny thief was straddling Bo's waist.

"Would my joining you cross the lines of every platonic relationship to ever platonic?" Kenzi asked, her hand coming to rest on Bo's shoulders. "I'll bring the bubbly." She added with a wink.

Bo raised an eyebrow, but chuckled all the same, a warm smile spreading across her face. "Sounds good to me, Kenz." Not that she hadn't already crossed that line once she enthusiastically explored the brunette's mouth with her tongue when they were in Hecuba prison.

Tamsin rolled her eyes. "Alright, let's bounce losers." She threw her arm around Lauren's shoulders and led the way. She forced the thoughts of what she would do to Evony once she found her, enjoying the warmth that spread through her as the doctor's arm circled her waist and squeezed lightly.

A/N: well that was it guys, the last chapter. I'm sorry it took 3o centuries for me to get it done, but I finally kicked myself in the ass and did the thing. I'll be working on a sequel soon, however. I'm not sure what it's going to be called, but be on the look out for it. Thank you again for all your lovely comments and for waiting on my lazy ass, you all have been truly amazing. Take care, friends.
