Keeping it Clean

A/N: Benny's getting what he missed in Purgatory. Set early season 8.

Drugstore Delight

Dean realized he was talking to himself; his constant companion for the past year now missing. He turned in confusion to see Benny standing frozen in the doorway to the store with a strange little half-smile on his lips.

"Ah, brother, it's been too long. I need me one of those," Benny sighed, with a blissed-out expression.

Dean scowled in the direction of the other customers, two scantily-clad college girls. "Really?" he snarled at his friend in bitter disappointment.

Benny pointed at the shelves and gave Dean a pleading look.

"Given my condition? I'd do anything for a decent toothbrush."

A/N: Dean's not impressed with Castiel's methods. Speculation, set late season 8.

Giving the Brush Off

"Cas, where are you?" Dean called, stepping into the bathroom. "Wow, it's clean in here."

"Yes, it is next to godliness," Castiel answered with great import. As a warrior of God he'd never needed to know such minutiae of human existence. Until now.

Dean noticed the filthy toothbrush clutched in the angel's hand. "Wait, did you use that?"

"Well, last night, in that film 'An Officer and a Gentleman' they used..."

"Hey! You promised you weren't gonna mention we watched that," Dean protested.

Castiel ducked his head in apology.

"Nah, it's okay. Looks like you used Sam's anyway," Dean grinned.
