A very, very short oneshot based on the end of episode 6. I really wanted something like this to happen, although I did love Richard standing up to Doug Anderson. And since to my disappointment it didn't, I write it! Ah, the beauties of fanfiction! Anyway, it's slightly AU because I decided to set in in my Love in Paradise series simply because I can.

"My name is Richard."
Dwayne led Douglas Anderson away towards the cells.
"One more thing, Mr Anderson," Camille said. Then she walked up to Richard and kissed him, leaving Anderson speechless and Dwayne and Fidel grinning.
When they broke apart, she left her arm around Richard's shoulder possessively, raising an eyebrow towards Anderson. Richards meanwhile, couldn't quite believe she'd just done that, although he knew why. As embarrassing as it was to admit, he knew Camille had over heard Anderson telling him that he didn't understand because he wasn't married and had in fact probably never had a girlfriend either. Now his girlfriend was taking her revenge.

"What do you think?" Dwayne asked, holding out the kitten.
"I think the further that thing is from me the better," Richard replied, pulling away. He really didn't like cats.
"I thought it might make her feel better. Okay, and I thought it might get her off my back," Dwayne added after Richard raised his eyebrows. Although Richard couldn't help but think, as Dwayne carried the cat inside and thankfully away from him, that having met Estelle, giving her a new kitten was likely to make her more determined to have a relationship with Dwayne. Still, as long as it wasn't near him, giving him the evil eye and shedding cat hair all over his suit, Richard didn't much care, returning to his tea.
Camille smiled, watching the exchange between Richard and Dwayne from inside the bar. Once Dwayne came inside, she stepped forward, taking the seat next to Richard and giving him a small smile as she sat down.
"You heard, didn't you?" Richard asked quietly, knowing Dwayne and Fidel were too far away and too wrapped up in their own conversations to hear. He didn't need to clarify what he meant, nor was Camille in any doubt.
"Yes," she admitted.
"That's why you did it?"
"Yes," she replied again. "Look Richard," she began, putting her beer down on the table. "I don't know about in London, but here you are not the person Doug Anderson said you are. I wanted to prove that to him."
"You didn't have to."
"I wanted to. I didn't like the way he treated you. And, I guess I wanted to apologise for not believing he killed his wife. I should have known better than to doubt you," she teased.
"Yes you should have," Richard replied sincerely, before noticing Camille's smile.
Camille laughed, before leaning forward and kissing him.
