Drinny

Draco paced outside the room of requirement, waiting for her. He heard the clock strike eleven and he sighed. He had been waiting for her since 10:30.

Just when he was about to give up, he saw her. She came running towards him and wrapped her arms around him; Draco knew there was something wrong.

"Hey, what's up, Gin?" he asked her softly, pushing her red hair away from her face to show how tear stained it was. But she shook her head.

"Not here, please." she said, barely above a whisper. Draco nodded and held her hand, pulling her into the room on requirement.

He had kept it simple. A blanket on the edge of a mountain. A completely silent area with the star above them. He knew Ginny loved the stars and quiet: but she didn't even notice this.

Draco led her towards the blanket and sat her down, and he sat beside her. She immediately wrapped her arms around him; crying silently into his shirt.

He could only wrap his arm around her and soothe her, wondering what was wrong.

After a few minutes she pulled back, and laughed sadly, "thanks for that." Draco smiled.

"Any time, you know that," he said and she smiled back at him. "Want to talk about it?" she sighed, before speaking.

"Whether I want to or not, you'll make me won't you?" she said with a small smile and Draco just nodded, lying back on the blanket, letting Ginny lie with him; her head on his stomach, their hands entwined.

"All the Ravenclaws hate me," she said quietly and Draco raised an eyebrow.

"Why's that?" His fingers began to move and stroke her lightly.

"Michael Corner said I was 'whore' and was going to date every guy in the school if they offered me anything because I'm so poor it's the only way for me to have any possessions," Ginny said quietly, her voice thick with tears.

Draco sat up and hugged her properly, kissing her head as she cried into his shirt again. Draco had to stop himself from tearing the room apart. How dare he insult her?

"Shush, Ginny. You know he's worthless. He's the one who'll have to date everyone because he's so desperate. You're not. You don't need him, you have me. I will never get sick of you, you're beautiful," Draco said softly, looking into her eyes as he said this. Ginny could only sniff and smile happily.

"You really mean that?" Draco nodded and she leaned in and kissed him sweetly. "Thank you, Draco. For everything. You're always here for me, so thank you."

Draco could only nod again, saying, "always." before kissing her again, helping her forget the events of the day.
