Hey! What's up? I'm going to start this next chapter now, the day after I posted chapter 2. How long will it take me to post this one? Let's find out, shall we?
Chapter 3 - Her Beautiful Eyes
I sighed heavily as I closed my laptop. Why, Chris, why? She and I were friends, it was likely to remain that way forever. I guess I was fine with that, but now that Revenge of the Island was over, it was quite painful to be around her. But, I guess I was stuck going now.
I went downstairs to tell my mother and father of this news (unfortunately they were quite excited that I had another opportunity to "branch out." Shame, I was hoping they would forbid me from going,) and then went back up to my room to pack. I had seen Ted's show last season, when the original cast of Total Drama was on it, so I knew about how long I would be gone and how much to pack.
When I was ready, I stood outside my house, waiting for Chris. I had said good bye to my parents and friends, and Chris had sent an e-mail to confirm what time he was arriving, (although he refused to send a reply when I asked how he got my adress. I don't remember telling him when I filled out the contracts.) I was surprised about how quickly he came. Had he been secretly waiting for me?
"It's the funniest thing, you know," Chris said, when he opened the bus doors and I gave him an inquisitive look, "You and I live extremely near each other. Who knew?"
Oh joy, I thought to myself, as I hauled my stuff on board. I saw that, besides myself and Chris, Chef Hatchet was the only other person on the bus.
"Still gotta pick up everyone else," Chris informed me as he closed the bus doors. I nodded and dragged my stuff to the back of the bus. Then I sat down to observe my surroundings.
The bus was one of those school buses, except it was really run down. A lot of the seats were dirty, and half of them were broken in some way. There was a rusty red stain on one of the windows that looked suspiciously like blood. I sighed heavily. This was going to be a long summer.
I looked out the window to try to keep my mind off of... things. It helped a little. About half an hour later, Chris stopped the bus again, this time pulling into someone's driveway. I switched sides of the bus to get a better look at whose house it was. It seemed ordinary enough, so I knew it couldn't be Dakota's or Scott's, as Dakota probably lived in a mansion, and I knew Scott lived on a farm. As I stared at the house, the front door opened and Staci came out.
Great, I thought, HER.
Staci seemed a lot more excited about this adventure than I was. As soon as she got her mountainous pile of stuff on the bus, she spotted me and ran over, giving me happy kisses on the cheek.
"What's up, B?" she asked, "Gosh, I haven't seen you in forever! This reminds me of how my great great great grandmother met my great great great grandfather. It's a really funny story!"
So, for the next hour I sat on the bus with Staci blabbing in my ear about something or other almost the entire time. I tried to look interested, as to not to hurt her feelings, but it was very hard to keep up the facade. When I finally got the chance to look out the window again, we were traveling through the country side.
"This is where Scott lives," Chris informed us, "And Zoey lives near by as well. I wonder if they ever knew that?"
This question prompted Staci to go into another story about how her great something-or-other had met her great whatever when they lived near each other for several years and didn't know it. That made her also start talking about how supposedly one of her ancestors had invented the hotdog, for some reason. Thankfully, as we pulled up onto Scott's farm, she shut up.
I was greatly amused to see the enviornment that Scott was forced to live in. I was still mad at him for setting me up in Revenge of the Island, so I was pleased to see the mud hole he lived in. Honestly, the bus was probably the cleanest thing about the farm. Chris drove the bus up the dusty path and barely stopped in time to avoid crashing into the barn. There were random farm animals like chickens, cows, pigs, and horses scattered around everywhere. Every structure looked like it was about to fall down. Well, now I knew why he was so desperate to get the million. I saw Scott a little ways in the distance with what appeared to be his relatives. There were two men, a woman, three young boys, and four (admittedly rather hot) girls surrounding Scott as he tried to drag his over sized suitcase over to the bus. Chef and Chris got out to help him, (it seemed as though his family was trying to keep him from going,) and they finally managed to tear him away. Scott sat in the middle of the bus, which suit me just fine.
"Who were those people, Scott?" Staci asked him, batting her eyes at him.
"My family," he said, simply, "That was my dad, my mom, my uncle, my brothers, and my four cousins who are always trying to hook me up with random people." He sighed heavily. "I hate my cousins."
I snickered to myself. Shortly after that we got Zoey, who chose to sit in the front of the bus. I guess she was still mad at Scott as well. Well, I would be too.
After that, the scenery changed once again. We started heading into a more wooded area. We stopped at the most bizaare house I had ever seen in my life. The house was divided right in half. One half looked like a tree house only on the ground. It was covered in vines and ivy and had a little garden in front of it. The other side looked like someone who hated nature and all it stood for. It was brick, where the otherside was wood, and had many weird decorations laying around that were dedicated soley to hunting. As I tried to figure out who could live in such a contradicting house, the front door opened, and she stepped out.
The girl with long, platinum blond hair. And her eyes, oh those eyes! Her beautiful teal blue-grey eyes. The girl I had fallen madly in love with, so much it hurt.
It was Dawn.
Ok, be honest, how many of you predicted that? ...Oh yeah? Well shut up!
Anyway, hope you didn't find this chapter too long or boring. It was interesting writing as B, since he doesn't talk I can't have him say anything, so I just had him describe his world around him. Next chapter it will be Dawn's view point, and we get to meet her strange parents. Well, her parents according to me. Don't know what they're really like, obviously. Anyway, don't forget to remember to leave a comment! I would be much appreciative!
