A/N: Thank you all for the reviews! Enjoy!
Previously on MTRD: The Saints discovered that Victoria used to be known as EvAngelique, before she changed her identity. They took a jet to Stilwater. Shaundi stopped Pierce from following Victoria on Instagram.
No one's POV
After the lovely ride to Stilwater, the Saints headed straight to the old hideout. The place had changed a lot. It was a lot nicer on the outside, and the inside had improved as well. While Pierce, and Shaundi were going through memory lane; Kinzie, Viola, and Matt were looking around curiously.
After a while they realized the Boss wasn't at the hideout. Shaundi and Pierce came up with ideas on where the Boss could be, while Kinzie, Viola, and Matt just stayed quiet because they didn't know any of the places in Stilwater.
They thought about it for about a minute, before Shaundi realized where the Boss was. She knew him well. She stood from where she sat, and everyone turned to her.
"I know where he is," Shaundi said.
"Yeah I think I know too. Come on let's head over there, girl. You guys just chill till we get back," Pierce and Shaundi headed to the exit.
…
Pierce and Shaundi walked into the all too familiar wasn't too many people there. And seated on a barstool was the one and only leader of the Saints, though he didn't look much like a leader at the moment. He looked straight up wasted…
Shaundi and Pierce approached The Boss, and got a strong whiff of booze, drugs, and cologne.
"Holy sh*t...Shaundi? Pierce? Are you guys really here or am I hallucinating?" The Boss stared at the two, with bloodshot eyes. Then he turned to the bartender, "Are they actually there, Greg?"
The bartender closed his eyes and sighed. "It's Frank, and yes they are actually there."
"Eh, I was pretty f*cking close," The Boss waved him off, and Frank just rolled his eyes and wiped down the counter.
"So how have you two been?!" The Boss exclaimed excitedly. "It's been sooo long! Pierce did you get a haircut?!" He took a sip of his drink.
"Uh...no" Pierce looked at him like he lost his sh*t...which he obviously had. Pierce subtly swiped the Boss' drink.
"Yo, Boss what the f*ck are you on, man?" Pierce looked him over critically.
"Oh! I took some of these cute little pills!" He smiled widely. Pierce and Shaundi looked at each other.
"Okay...how many of these 'cute little pills' did you take?" Shaundi asked, with quotations.
"This much," The Boss raised one hand. He took five…
"Well damn…" Pierce said.
"He's gonna pass out anytime now." Shaundi concluded.
"Yup," Pierce agreed.
…
As soon as the three of them got out of the car, The Boss passed out in front of The Saints' hideout.
"He passed out," Pierce announced.
"Fucking lightweight," Shaundi shook her head.
"Yup," Pierce stared down at The Boss.
"I'm surprised he didn't pass out on the way over here…"
"For real," Pierce nodded. He put The Boss on his shoulder. "Let's get his sorry a*s to bed."
…
Boss
I woke up with the worst headache ever. What the f*ck happened? When did I get in bed? As I was trying to recall what happened, I was greeted with a sight for sore eyes. Shaundi looking hot as ever walked into my room. She had a glass of water, and Ibuprofen...She's a f*cking angel.
"Hey, Shaundi...when did you get here?"
"Yesterday afternoon," She answered shortly, handing me the water and Ibuprofen.
I quickly drank two pills. "What happened?"
"Well, after you took off, Kinzie tracked down your location. We took a jet here. Pierce and I found you wasted at Merhman's, and we brought you back here."
Reality kicked in for me. My attitude instantly changed. All the sh*t that happened rushed back into my head.
I nodded, and started getting out of bed. " I should shower and get dressed."
Shaundi nodded, and wordlessly left the room.
I took me half an hour to shower, and get dressed then I joined the rest of the gang downstairs. They all stared at me with questioning gazes. I didn't want to deal with this sh*t. It's none of their f*cking business, anyway.
As expected everyone bombarded me with a million questions. Questions about Angel. The only one who stayed quiet was Shaundi. All these questions made my head pound harder, and made my headache worse. I took a breath, and tried to keep my rage inside. I didn't want to be the way I used to be. I used to be angry all the time, and took my anger out on everyone. I thought I calmed down a lot since then, but right now...I was seeing red.
"EVERYONE SHUT THE F*CK UP!" I yelled. They all instantly shut their mouths. "You should all just f*cking leave." And with that I stormed into the elevator.
I took it up to the rooftop, and sat on the helipad just staring out at the city. I had a lot on my mind, and was in desperate need of space. They all should've just stayed in Steelport.
About ten minutes went by, and then someone came to the roof.
"I don't want to f*cking talk, so leave me the f*ck alone," I said, without turning around. The person then took a seat next to me. It was Shaundi.
"No."
"Shaundi...I'm sorry, I-"
She raised a hand to silence me. "You don't have to say anything. I'm not here to get you to talk about your feelings, and sh*t. I wouldn't want to either," I nodded. "But, I'm not gonna leave you alone. You don't have to be strong all the time. You don't have to go through this alone. I'm here for you." She grabbed my hand gently, and interlaced our fingers.
I felt an odd warmth in my chest. For the first time in a long time, I actually felt like I wasn't alone. It felt good to be understood by someone. I didn't want to talk at all. That would just make me angrier, rather than make me feel better. Her presence alone comforted me. Just her being there for me meant a lot; it meant a lot more than any words could.
I looked down at our hands with a small smile. Her hands were warm, and they were strong, yet soft...like her...Sh*t that was a cheesy thought…
We stayed like that for a very long time, without saying a word to each other. Some time during the silence, I said "F*ck it" to being strong, and hesitantly rested my head on Shaundi's shoulder- which is something I've never done before. I've never rested my head on someone's shoulder before. It was actually kind of nice…Shaundi's shoulder was comfortable, and she smelled really good.
Shaundi just rested her head on top of mine, like it was the most natural thing in the world. Apparently, I was really comfortable because I knocked out a few minutes afterward. When I woke up, Shaundi was on her phone. I gently lifted my head off her shoulder, grabbing her attention.
"Sorry...didn't mean to fall asleep on your shoulder…"I apologized, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
She just chuckled, and shook her head. "You don't have to apologize. I actually dozed off for a bit too."
"What time is it?" I asked.
"5 o'clock."
"Damn...so we've been up here for four hours…"
"It appears so."
Out of nowhere, my stomach growled pretty damn loud. We both looked down at it as if it was an alien. Then, Shaundi's growled just as loudly right after. We shifted our gazes to her stomach.
"It seems that our stomachs are communicating with each other," I chuckled.
Shaundi laughed, which was music to my ears. "I think that might be the stupidest thing you've ever said."
"Probably," I agreed. "It's impressive how in sync we are, though." I joked.
"More like creepy and weird," Shaundi chuckled.
"True," I laughed, and got up off the floor. "Let's go get something to eat," I offered her my hand.
She grabbed it. "Freckle B*tches?"
I pulled her up. "You know it."
Sorry for the shortness...and for how cheesy it is... Let me know what you think, though. :)
