Disclaimer: What do you think?

Beast Boy is confused. But that's nothing new. . .

"Troubled Titans in Tokyo"
—Carnivorous Staircases—
FOUR

After their troubling incident with the plumbing was over, the Teen Titans were finally off to the Emperor's Palace. However, there was something about their surroundings that was bothering a certain green changeling.

"Why do all the trees look like giant band-aids?" He was perplexed to say the least.

"What in the world are you talking about?" Apparently, so were the others.

Raven snidely remarked, "Must be all that tofu. It finally scrambled his brain." They were walking farther towards the grounds of the Palace. And, not-to-mention, confusion per Beast Boy.

Beast Boy entirely ignored her comment. "Oh! Not band-aids. I mean, Bandai trees," he tried to clarify.

Cyborg looked at his buddy like he was unrecognizable suddenly, "BB, you don't even watch anime!" 'Tried' being the key word.

Beast Boy was getting frustrated with his comrades' lack of perception. You would think they would've developed a Beast Boy translator by now. "You know," he stressed in frustration, "those little trees that they cut and put on a windowsill and stuff."

"Oh. You mean, Bonsai trees?" Raven asked with a quirked eyebrow.

Starfire stopped in the pathway suddenly with a loud gasp. She was pointing at the trees in front of her. And what was with them, or rather without. "Friends, look!" In front of them were the bonsai trees and ladders next to them. But no people . . . "The Japanese staircases must have eaten the people on them!" She firmly declared.

"No way, Star. Dudes, it's totally obvious." Beast Boy explained in professor mode as if this was the easiest mathematical problem in the world; 'What is two plus two?' "The people are just taking a siesta."

"Beast Boy, this is Japan." Robin deadpanned. "We're nowhere near Mexico." In this case, the answer Beast Boy came up with was '3'.

Raven held her head in her hand. "So, the only logical conclusion we can make is that in front of us are flesh-devouring ladders who are bent on revenge on those who walked all over them? Really?"

Beast Boy just looked at her with a 'well, duh' expression. "Wouldn't you?"

A/N: Sorry guys, I'm having some writer's block with my two ongoing stories "Vacation Troubles" and "Troubled Hearts". So, I thought I would finish this short chappie that has been in the works for months. I hope it will get me writing again. Well, I don't know if anyone is really reading this, but if you are, I'm expecting a review.

Signed,
Her Sappiness
