BE MY WHITE KNIGHT - CHAPTER NINE

After a lot of kisses and caresses the two girls were interrupted by a knock on the door. It was Henry to inform them their lovefest was over and that Emma's parents were waiting for her in the foyer, and now, - after a few more goodbye kisses, of course - , the girls were finally walking down the stairs trying to control themselves not to take each other's hands.

Emma was trying not to think about Regina trying to put herself together before coming down. She was frantically smoothing her clothes and her hair, trying not to look like she was wildly making out with the blonde, while Emma just had to tie her hair and she looked like nothing happened. Regina huffed throwing Emma a death glare. "How's that even possible?!" Regina said and then pouted with the cutest frown Emma had ever seen. "Not fair."

Emma chuckled and pulled Regina by the waist. "You look gorgeous. No need to fuss over yourself anymore." Regina put her arms around the blonde's neck and gave her a peck on the lips.

"Thank you."

"Shall we go, your majesty?" Emma said sweetly and Regina secretly loved the nickname, not that she would ever admit it, of course.

After a very veeery fake goodbye from Cora, a sincere hug from Henry, which surprised Cora, and a tight hug from Regina, Emma left the Mills' household with her parents.

Emma rode her bike to the Mayor's house, so she couldn't go back in the car with her parents. She was very curious of what they thought about Regina and Henry.. And more importantly Cora. She just hoped they didn't fall for her fake pleasantries. She decided she would ask them. Lucky her her house was relatively close to Mifflin Street.

WALKER'S HOUSE

"Kevin calm down!" Sarah sighed one more time. They'd just arrived home after the afternoon with the Mills and since they got in the car Kevin could not stop talking about how Emma and Regina were in love and would marry each other. He sound like a schoolgirl. It was embarrassing, really, but the type of embarrassing that made her fall in love with this jerk, and if possible she loved him even more for being so excited for Emma and Regina.

"I know! BUT DID YOU SEE THEM?!" Kevin squealed.

Sarah couldn't help herself and laughed at her husband. "Yes, I did see them. I was also there, remember?" She walked to him and gave him a kiss. "Our baby is in love, Kevin." She looked deep into his eyes and he saw tears filling them. "Isn't she going too fast, I mean, we just moved here! What if she breaks her heart? What if it's a game? Cora is not a good person, maybe her daughter is just like her! Oh, I will have a talk with Emma when she arrives. I will forbid her to see Regina, forever!" Sarah finished with fire in her eyes. Kevin knew she was just being a Mama Bear and trying to protect Emma. He put both hands on the sides of her face. "Hey, listen to me. We met Regina and even though Cora is a viper, Henry Mills is a lovely man and I am sure Regina is a sweet and beautiful girl that took after her father.I know you are just trying to protect our daughter, but that's not the way to do it. Emma has a great radar for bad people. When she came to us she was closed off, but remember what she said to us after a few weeks?"

Sarah blinked and nodded.

"She said she was thinking about running, but something told her to just hold on a little bit more and trust us." Kevin finished and Sarah took a deep breath.

"Sorry, I let my mama bear side take over. I just don't want her to get hurt Kevin."

Kevin hugged her tight and kissed the top of her head. "Being hurt is part of the process of falling in love. Sometimes we hurt the people we love, sometimes we fall out of love, but sometimes you meet someone and you just fit so perfectly that you know you'll spend the rest of your life with them. Just like me and you. I know it's hard to watch, but this is their story. Let them figure it out what will it be. If it doesn't work out what we need to do is be there for her."

Kevin had a goofy grin on his lips. "Personally, I think they will get married and have very cute babies."

Sarah laughed at that. "I got lucky with you. Five minutes ago, when you were squealing like a little girl I was doubting that, but now I'm sure I did the right thing."

Kevin just narrowed his eyes at her, knowing very well she was just messing with him.

Just then the subject of their conversation opened the door.

"Hey guys! Long time no see!" Emma said, giving both of them hugs, like she wasn't with them a few moments ago.

Sarah and Kevin just hugged her and laughed. "You are so crazy.. You took after your father."

"Uhuh, yeah. I was the crazy one who just said they were going to kill someone if they hurt their baby, right?" Kevin said sarcastically.

"Kevin! Shut up!" Sarah said with wide eyes, her cheeks blushing.

Unfortunately for them, they forgot that Emma was at home, and right in front of them.

"Uh, what?" Emma said, with a raised eyebrow. "What's going on?"

Kevin looks at Emma with a serious look. "Oh, nothing. We were just curious about you and Cora's daughter.. Regina, was it?"

"Yeah, you two seemed to have hit it off quite well. Want to tell us what is going on between you two?" Sarah finishes, also looking at Emma with a serious face. They were not mad or anything, they just wanted to mess with Emma, and of course, they wanted to know what was really going on between them.

"Oh, yeah.. Regina." Emma starts feeling herself blush instantly. "She's, uh.. She's nice. Definitely nice.. Yeah."

"Yeah, and the fact that you are totally crushing on her have nothing to do with your opinion on her, right?" Kevin asked with a smirk

"Oh, of course not, I mean, I do have a big crush on her, but she's really nice.." Emma starts rambling and doesn't even notice she spoke too much.

"AHA!" Kevin yells, startling Sarah that was beside him and was not expecting this reaction.

"Kevin! Jesus!" Sarah says with a hand over her heart.

Meanwhile Emma is looking at them absolutely terrified and blushing very hard she thinks her cheeks might explode.

"Hm… okay, fine! I have a crush on her, and I think she likes me too. It's all very new, but I really want to get to know her better, guys." Emma finishes with a smile.

"We are very happy for you, baby." Sarah says and hugs Emma. Kevin watches them for a minute before joining in and hugging both of them.

MILLS' HOUSE

"Regina, be a dear and clean everything. I will take a bath, meeting these people made me tired. Specially that Emma girl. She has no education at all, if the Walker's weren't so influent I would never let you get even near that girl." Cora said in an almost disgusted way and proceeded to get up the stairs.

Regina sighed and went to the kitchen to tidy things up.

"Hey." Henry said, entering the kitchen.

"Hi papa" Regina answered with a smile.

"So, Emma… She seems to like you." He said trying to sound nonchalant.

Regina cleared her throat, "Hm, yeah. I guess."

"And you?"

"Me what, daddy? I don't understand." Regina replied without turning to look at him.

"Regina, don't play coy with your father." Henry said with a kind smile. "Don't forget that I saw what happened here today. It surely didn't seem like you were in trouble."

"Oh my God, dad. Stop it!" Regina's cheeks were flaming red.

Henry laughed. "So? You didn't answer me."

Regina sighed. "Yes, daddy. I like her too. I actually disliked her a lot, but she made me change my mind. She's actually a very nice girl." She shrugged.

"Yes, I could see that." Henry agreed. "Do you need help with the dishes?"

"No daddy, thank you. I am almost done here." Regina smiled and gave her father a kiss on the cheek.

After Regina was finally finished, she took a long and relaxing shower. She was now lying on her bed, remembering her day, and hell, what a day it was. Emma was full of surprises, and she was really excited to see what was going to happen tomorrow.

She closed her eyes and slept soundly with a smile on her face.
