I actually have NO idea why I wrote this or how the heck it popped up into my head but... Enjoy! BTW, I don't own The Kingdom Keepers.

The Time They Laughed.

Once, there had been a time when they... Laughed. A beautiful, happy laugh in which everyone participated. And they had been happy. But, overtime, things... changed. And, everyone forgot what it was like to simply... laugh. Sometimes, on quiet nights when the Moon was high and the Sky was bright, on the nights when memories stirred, she'd sit outside, and simply remember... Remember the time they laughed.

Amanda always knew the day would come when he left to join Wayne... But it had still shocked her when she got a call from a sad, angry Philby that her beloved Finn was... dead.

And, her first thought was that he was so... young.

Only thirty. Only with a daughter and a son on the way. She was broken-hearted that he had left her with them... alone.

But she forgave him.

The year Wayne died, laughter was forced, but it came back, little by little.

But, when Finn died, the laughter just... stopped.

Wayne and Finn, both dead, was something of which no one could recover.

Finn had been there leader, the guy that told them what to do, when to do it, and made them feel... good.

Wayne had been that funny, father-like, understanding, smart guy that helped them out... that led them, in a way.

He had been their teacher, but more than that, he had been family.

And both of them dead was... a nightmare.

It was reality.

And as we all know, reality stinks.

Now, with Maybeck and Philby both dead, Charlene and Willa simply never talked. The light in their eyes had extinguished.

Jess had never married, because her fiancee had died a day before her marriage.

She never recovered.

Now, Amanda was the only Keeper left, a grandmother, and old.

She laughed sometimes, but not that much, her grand kids looked just like Finn, the boy had Amanda's eyes.

And, seeing all of them, looking and talking and as mature as Finn, brought back memories.

And she never laughed anymore.

But, some nights, when the wind was soft and the air was sweet, when the stars were twinkling and the moon shone bright, she'd sit outside, and remember, the time they... laughed.

And on one of these nights, she was smiling slightly as she recalled her wedding day.

And the wind picked up, suddenly.

And seven smiling figure appeared, and one held out his hand.

"Come on, Mandy, you've been here to long." And she looked up at Finn, Finn, and Philby and Maybeck, Willa, Charlene, Jess and Wayne.

And for the first time in many, many years, she laughed, and they laughed with her.

And she took Finn's hand, and the wind took her away, to join her friends and husband.

And that night, the moon seemed brighter, and a new star seemed to join the sky, and the wind seemed to.. laugh.

And when Amanda's little grand daughter saw her grandma taken away, she climbed into the chair were Amanda had been moments before, and laughed.

"Bye, bye, grandma." She said, and the wind pulled her hair, and her mother came out, and when her daughter told her all that she had seen, her mother believed.

"My mother always did remember the time they laughed."

And the wind confirmed this by laughing once again.

I know, you probably don't like it 'cause it's so SAD. But they joined each other again, right?

Review please, it helps a lot.

But, I enjoyed writing this, I'm pretty sure it turned out sad because i felt sad... Don't ask why i feel sad because it's a LONG story...

But, once again, review, but NO flames, please.

Ok, bye! :)
