RK777: Merry Christmas!

Vile: Hey, Merry Christmas, Rocket! *Eva peeks out from behind you wearing a Santa hat* You too, Eva.

RK777: Figured we'd come on by to celebrate with some Gingerbread and punch. You almost got the last one wrapped?

Vile: All set and ready for the occasion. I was nervous that I'd manage it, but in the end, I got it done no problem.

RK777: With a little help.

Eva: *nodding* Vee vee.

Kohaku: Yeah, seeing how things were a while ago, it's good to finally have some kind of closure now.

Yuma: BUT WHAT ABOUT ME?!

Vile: Relax, Yuma, I've got something planned involving you, too. I've definitely gotta take the initiative to return to ZEXAL, but for now, let's wrap up this arc. Enjoy!

Yu-Gi-Oh! GSTART

Level 026: Alpha Force, Time to Fight!

*Recap*

Kohaku: Last time on Yu-Gi-Oh! GSTART, I beat that weird game that we got sucked into, getting the rest of the Silver Coins. But now I'm dealing with these guys' boss, Atmos. Dizzy-kun teamed up with me for this, but Atmos was no slouch, and now we're staring down this giant elemental dragon, a "Designator Envoy"! Hopefully we can get through this...

*Actual Time*

As the Duel against the elemental master, Atmos, continued, it was being watched from on top of a building by Psycho. He was monitoring the energy readings given off by the Duel. "Never thought he'd actually have to get involved." He mused, only to sigh. "That being said, now that he's Dueling and has his Envoy out, maybe there's still a chance to turn this around." He stared at the readings given off by Kohaku, watching them fluctuate. "Let's just hope he's not going to do something stupid."

*At the Duel* *Field Recap*

Dizzy LP:1200

Atmos LP:1200

Kohaku's field: Pixel HERO - Dragon Master, 1 facedown S/T

Dizzy's field: Gale Force Dance Team, 2 facedown S/Ts

Atmos's field: Designator Envoy Epsilon-XIV: Four-Element Spirit God - Yugoryu, 2 facedown S/Ts

Pixel HERO - Dragon Master: Quality 8 FIRE Dragon/Composition ATK:3000/DEF:3000 4 Active Soul Towers

Gale Force Dance Team: Lv.3 WIND Winged Beast ATK:700/DEF:1000 (Defense Mode)

Designator Envoy Epsilon-XIV: Four-Element Spirit God - Yugoryu: Quality 8 FIRE/WATER/EARTH/WIND (through effect, printed as LIGHT) Dragon/Composition ATK:3400/DEF:3400 5 Active Soul Towers

Atmos panted as he calmed down from his exertion of energy, his dragon growling at Kohaku. "I had hoped I would never need to go this far." Atmos told Kohaku. "But with how strong you're getting, I didn't have a choice. Desperate times... call for desperate measures."

Kohaku just stared at the dragon, all four heads staring back at him. "I may not know or understand what's going on," he told Atmos, "but what I do know is that this isn't Game Over just yet."

"I will actually agree with you." Atmos said. "You won't lose yet. But you are unlikely to stand up to this! Yugoryu no kouka hatsudo! By deactivating a Soul Tower, one effect is activated depending on its Attribute!" One Soul Tower, the one providing the red beam, shut off, and the fire head began to conjure flames in its mouth. "The deactivated Tower was Pyrorex, a FIRE monster! Now one monster you control or in your hand is destroyed, and you receive damage equal to that monster's Attack Points! Ike, Yugoryu! Obliterate Dragon Master!" Yugoryu's fire head reared back before launching a giant fireball with a loud "BANG".

The fireball struck Dragon Master dead in the chest and exploded, causing the image of Monster Master to static and vanish as the dragon roar in pain before being obliterated by the flame. "Waaaaaaaaahhh!" Kohaku cried as the force of the explosion knocked him off his feet, causing him to land on the ground hard. "OOF!"

Kohaku LP:800

"Koha-kun!" Dizzy yelled as he looked to his friend.

"Now for you, Naginata!" Atmos told him. "Yugoryu, attack Gale Force Dance Team! Element Vortex!" All four heads gnashed their teeth before moving them to near the center of all of them, energy coming from their mouths. The energy began to gather between all the heads, forming a mass of elemental energy, before the dragon roared to unleash it in the form of a powerful vortex of dust, rocks, water, ice, fire, and wind.

Dizzy went to activate his Trap, but in the end, he stopped, merely letting the attack slam into his Dance Team, obliterating every member one by one before the vortex swept HIM up. "AAAAAAAaaahhh!" He yelled before he was thrown back, landing right next to Kohaku as the latter was just getting back up.

Dizzy LP:500

"D-Dizzy-kun!" Kohaku shouted as Dizzy slowly got up.

"Finally, I'm rid of that annoyance." Atmos said with a sigh, dusting himself off.

"Wahahahahaha! Now you guys are screwed!" Hydro laughed. Kohaku only growled as the Sykonetyks all shared in the "merriment".

However, their glee was broken by another laugh: Dizzy's laugh. "You can't be serious."

"Hmm?" Atmos said, cocking an eyebrow.

"Eh?" Added Kohaku, equally confused. "Dizzy-kun?"

The gray-haired boy finally got back to his feet, smiling. "How many times have your lackeys dueled us?" He asked, only to immediate answer his own question. "7, if I remember right, I don't know. But how many times did they win?" He held up his hand, putting his index finger and thumb together. "Zero. If you think you're any different because of that thing, you're dizzier than I am. We've still got Life Points, and cards in our Decks." He clenched his fist. "We are FAR from screwed!" Kohaku just stared at his friend, unsure what to say.

"Tough talk." Atmos retorted. "Try and back it up. Kaado ichi mai settei. Turn end!"

Kohaku didn't do anything for a moment, but got back to reality when Dizzy nodded at him. "Boku no turn! Draw!" He drew his card. "Red Hammer no kouka hatsudo! He now returns from the Graveyard!" Red Hammer leapt out of a purple portal.

Pixel HERO - Red Hammer: Lv.4 FIRE Warrior/Base ATK:1600/DEF:1400

"Boku wa Star Striker, PK Kid, Green Jumper to, Reberu Yon no Red Hammer de Shinajaizu!" Red Hammer whistled, causing three more purple portals to open up around him, his comrades returning from beyond. "Kono yon tai no tamashī o ketsugō shite, yori kyōryokuna atarashī no tamashī ga umareru!" The four heroes pooled their energy, forming a sphere of red, purple, yellow, and green energy before morphing into Soul Towers, energizing the sphere and causing it to burst into flame. "Kōzu Shoukan! Koi, Pixel HERO - Red Blazer!" From out of the flames, Red Blazer formed, dispelling the excess flames before crossing his arms in front of him.

Pixel HERO - Red Blazer: Quality 4 FIRE Warrior/Composition ATK:2500/DEF:2000 4 AST (Defense Mode)

"Nice try, Kohaku," Pyro called out, "but I don't think you can get his Attack Points high enough to hit the boss's ace with your monster's effect."

"At least I can get some defense." Kohaku groaned. "Turn e-"

"Koha-kun!" Dizzy called out, startling him. "Can you throw down another face-down?"

Kohaku blinked. "Uh... sure." He said, but when he looked over to Dizzy, the look in his friend's eyes told him exactly what he was planning, making him take a card. "Kaado ichi mai settei! Turn End!"

"Nothing you Summon will work against me, boy." Atmos taunted Dizzy. "One of my monster's Soul Towers is Windrose, a WIND monster. So long as that tower is active, the effects of all other WIND monsters on the field are negated."

Dizzy, however, just smirked. "You sure you should have said that out loud?" Atmos rose an eyebrow. ""Ore no turn! Draw!" He drew his card. "See, when I found Grave Gyro in my Graveyard," he explained as he pulled up the list of cards in his Graveyard, "I saw it wasn't the only thing that got sent there by that game. I also have a little Continuous Magic sitting in there called Like a Candle in the Wind." The image of said card appeared, showing the monster Candle of Fate with its flame flickering against the winds created by Simorgh. "Normally, I can use it to spin a monster back into my opponent's Deck if its Level is lower than my monster's. However, if I were to banish it from my Graveyard while my opponent has a Composition Monster on their field, I can deactivate one of that monster's Soul Towers!"

Atmos's eyes widened. "Nani?!"

"Which means I'm blowing out Windrose!" Dizzy shouted as he pulled the card out of his Graveyard and pointed it at the Envoy. "Thanks for pointing out which one he was!" A strong wind blew out of the card, battering against the Soul Tower giving off the green glow. The crystal flickered, its beam sputtering before it finally shut off for real.

From his perch, Psycho let out a frustrated sigh. "Did he have to open his big mouth?" Atmos merely groaned.

"Now that that's out of the way," Dizzy continued, "Magic Card, Propulsion Fan, hatsudo! I can Special Summon a Level 3 or lower WIND monster from my Deck!" An odd silver fan-like turbine appeared and began spinning, blowing a tunnel of wind into the field. The blades glowed blue, and a blue beam of energy was fired from them, striking the ground and changing form. "Koi, Cooling Fan!" The energy morphed a blue machine that was just a fan with two feet and stubby arms, the fan blades being made out of ice. Propulsion Fan then reduced in size and equipped to the top of it.

Cooling Fan: Lv.3 WIND Machine ATK:1300/DEF:300

"Now, thanks to this, I can use Cooling Fan as two Tributes!" Cooling Fan dissolved revved up both its main fan and equipped fan before turning into particles of light that begin to swirl, generating a small tornado. "Advance Shoukan! Koi, Crimson Cycloner!" The tornadoes was once Cooling Fan began to rapidly grow before turning an ominous red, and two large, red clawed hands came out of the winds. Then, the young red fiend that controlled the tornado rose from the top. The devil boy's eyes shot open, but rather than grin, it looked serious as it caught sight of Yugoryu. Cycloner then shot down with a kick to dispel the large tornado, hitting the ground before hopping up and sitting on a smaller red tornado, his large hands flanking him.

Crimson Cycloner: Lv.8 WIND Fiend ATK:2900/DEF:1300

"Kaado ichi mai settei." A facedown S/T appeared on Dizzy's field. "And now, Crimson Cycloner no kouka hatsudo!" The devil boy made three-finger hand signs, his large hands mimicking him as his tornado grew and began to rage. "Crimson Cyclone!" Shooting his arms out, Cycloner made his red winds ravage the field. "In order, Cycloner destroys a card on each side of the field, returns a card from each side to the hand, discards a card from each hand, then adds a card from each Graveyard to the hand!" On Dizzy's side, the two face-downs were blown around by the wind, with the one he just Set flying away while the other one went back to his hand. He then discarded another card from his hand while one popped back out of his Grave. Seeing the one he got back, he smirked a little. 'Nice to have this back.' Kohaku and Atmos's two facedowns each were also swept away by the wind, their hands also being slightly scrambled through it, but one of the cards from Atmos's field suddenly dropped right back down.

"You sealed your own fate, Naginata!" Atmos shouted.

"Nani?"

"Or rather," Atmos continued, "you sealed Yudin's fate! Trap, hatsudo! Spreading Blaze!" The card returned to Atmos's field and flipped around to show its image. "If this card is destroyed, I can inflict 500 damage to my opponent, then 500 more damage for every other card that was destroyed by the same effect!" The card began to crack, heat billowing from the cracks. "With three cards, that equals 1500 damage!" He pointed directly at Kohaku. "Goodbye, 15!" The card exploded, sending raging flames tearing across the field, right toward Kohaku, who let out a loud scream.

"Good thing I got this back!" Dizzy shouted as he grabbed a card from his hand. "Quick-Play Magic, Damage Spinner, hatsudo!" As the card glowed, the flames suddenly changed direction and began to circle around the field. "With this, I can negate your effect damage, and then either Yugoryu or Cycloner will lose that same amount in Attack and Defense Points. It all comes down..." He paused as a coin materialized in the air, dropping into his hand. "...on a coin flip." He held the coin up to his face, and said a silent prayer. "Here goes... Tails!" He tossed the coin into the air, watching it bounce along the ground... only for it to come up Heads.

"Shimata!" Plata shouted.

"Get crushed, Naginata!" Geo shouted equally as loud, but more in joy rather than Plata's fear. The flames finally settled on a direction and charged toward Cycloner, actually leaping up to catch him. The field boy crossed his arms as the flames assaulted him, singing his clothing and leaving scorch marks on his skin, but in the end, he came out burnt, but intact.

Cycloner ATK:1400/DEF:0

Kohaku blinked in disbelief. "Why would you do that, Dizzy-kun?" He asked as he looked at his friend. "That was really reckless."

"Isn't it obvious?" Dizzy looked back at him with pride in his eyes. "You're my best friend. You may not know it, but you helped me turn my life around." This comment stunned Kohaku for a moment. "I don't know about being a figure with god-like powers, but I'll gladly put myself in the line of fire to protect my friends."

Kohaku, even though he felt like he shouldn't, grinned after hearing that. "I always knew you were a cool guy, Dizzy-kun."

"Nah," Dizzy retorted, "I'm just a guy who doesn't like bad crap going down." He then leveled a glare at Atmos. "You wanna get to Koha-kun? You're gonna have to go through me!"

"Talk about a budding bromance." Sumiko mused, crossing her arms with a smile. Some of the others couldn't help but smile as well.

"Be careful what you wish for, Naginata." Atmos told him in a low tone.

"I'm not afraid of you! Kaado ichi mai settei!" Dizzy's old facedown returned to his field. "Turn end!"

"GAME CARD INTERMISSION."

Kohaku and Dizzy loaded their Game Cards, but as they did, Kohaku felt a familiar glow coming from his pocket. "Eh?" He took out the Silver Game Card, which was glowing on and off. "I didn't solve a riddle, did I?" The card suddenly vanished from his grasp. "Whaa!"

The card replaced one of the Game Cards in the roulette, making Atmos notice it, somewhat awed. "What is that?"

"I-It's that card!" Hydro shouted, catching the elder's attention. "The one the bigger boss wanted us to get!"

"Nani?!" Atmos asked, surprised. "THAT'S the gateway to his power?! I thought he had barricaded every part of it!"

"H-He did!" Cryo told him. "Yudin just keeps breaking through!"

"Not just me." Kohaku said, getting all the Sykonetyks' attention. "This card has jumped in to help a lot of my friends throughout the time I've had it. If I didn't solve anything... then that must mean it's Dizzy's turn."

The roulette cycled through the cards, only to stop dead on the SGC. "ACCESSING WORLD MAP." The card gave off a flash of light, revealing everyone to seemingly be in the Medieval Plains castle when it died down, with Dizzy's D-Vatar being on one of the spaces.

"Rgh... How powerful is he...?" Atmos growled. However, it was then that the Silver Coins appeared on-screen, all 24 floating in a circle. When Atmos saw all 24 coins, his skin went white as a sheet and his eyes bugged out. "Bakana! 24 of them?! That's... That's... It's can't be!"

The Alpha Coin broke off from the rest and flew over to a certain area of the map: A door that led downward, causing the door to open. It flew down the stairs to a new area that wasn't there before, with the only visible room being a treasure room with a game space among the gold and jewels. This space appeared to be sealed off by a strange field, but the Alpha Coin infused itself into the field, causing the letter to appear over the field before it crackled like glass and shattered, turning the space from black to red. "What the...?" Kohaku breathed, clearly confused.

"He was right..." Pyro realized. "Naginata just unlocked his powers as the Alpha Designator."

"That sounds like something I'm gonna need!" Dizzy said with a smile. "Let's do this!" He moved his D-Vatar through the castle to get to the basement, moving it onto the space. A silver sign appeared near the stage, showing a name:

World 1-Alpha: Sword of Cyclones

Dizzy nodded. "Nothing ventured... nothing gained!" Pressing A, he made his D-Vatar leap into the gateway.

The gateway changed into an AR screen, the image within showing a more detailed version of the same treasure room, complete with more types of jewels. However, the screen was more focused on a sword with a red hilt designed like wings stuck in a pedestal. Dizzy's D-Vatar walked into view, catching sight of the sword and examining it, the blade gleaming. Even Crimson Cycloner looked intrigued by this sword from outside the game. "This game... I didn't even know it existed." The familiar voice of Kukiran said, making the D-Vatar turn to see that she had flown in, followed by Kohaku's D-Vatar. "How did you find it?"

Kohaku typed a message to her. "Not sure. One of the coins I found just opened it." His D-Vatar parroted the message.

"That's weird..." Kukiran said.

Dizzy examined the room, trying to see if there was anything that would explain this game. Eventually he caught sight of a certain wall, noticing an inscription that he couldn't read due to a bad viewing angle, but he could make out an Alpha letter. "Hey, what's that message say?" He typed on his Gamepad.

When she saw the message, Kukiran turned to see the inscription before flying up to it. With a straight angle, she was able to read it. "The Sword of Cyclones, a weapon only for the chosen of Alpha. Only one who wields the wind for the sake of others may grasp the hilt and claim the blade." She appeared to look out at them. "Does that mean anything to you?"

Kohaku blinked upon hearing this. "Fits you pretty well, Dizzy. Almost scarily so."

"Yeah... This is just too weird." Dizzy replied as his D-Vatar slowly walked up to the sword. Wind began to swirl around the hilt as it reached for it, but the D-Vatar was able to touch it, lightly gripping the hilt with one hand. "Okay, that worked." He typed another message to Kukiran: "Now how do I get this thing out? I didn't see anything about gameplay."

Kukiran took another look at the inscription again, looking it up and down. "Hmm..." Eventually she looked back to Dizzy, her wings drooping. "There's nothing here. It doesn't say how it works."

"Then how are we supposed to-" Dizzy started to type, but then, a pulse went through his head. His body went rigid, and his eyes went dull. 'H-Huh...?' His D-Vatar didn't look very good, either.

"Are you OK, Dizzy-kun?" Kohaku asked, his own D-Vatar lightly shaking Dizzy's.

Then, Dizzy closed his eyes, as did his D-Vatar. "Hmm..." Was the only sound that came from him for a moment... then his and his D-Vatar's eyes opened with a steeled stare. "Let's go." He readied his Gamepad as his D-Vatar rubbed its hands together, gripping the sword tightly with both hands.

GO!

Without any prompting, Dizzy began hammering the A Button, causing the D-Vatar to start pulling the sword out of the pedestal. However, the wind around the sword began to kick up, making the D-Vatar struggle. In response, Dizzy began hammering the B Button alongside the A Button to keep going. "Come on... Come on..." Dizzy groaned, trying to keep up his button mashing, watching the sword come out more and more.

Crimson Cycloner began clapping its own hands together in some kind of support for his user, his face clearly mentioning that he wanted this to happen. "Almost got it, Dizzy-kun!" Kohaku cried, seeing the sword nearly out. Unnoticed by anyone, the Greek letter Alpha was slowly drawing itself on Dizzy's D-Gazer. The wind raged even more, nearly knocking the D-Vatar off his feet, Kohaku's D-Vatar and Kukiran having to hide behind a pile of treasure. Dizzy began hammering A, B, X, and Y all at once to keep up, his virtual self standing its ground with gritted teeth. Finally, with a loud yell, the D-Vatar pulled the sword out of the pedestal, a powerful burst of wind coming off the blade's tip. The Alpha symbol completed itself on Dizzy's D-Gazer when this happened, giving off a bright flash of light that caused everyone's vision to go white. "Whoa..."

FINISH!

Dizzy could barely see through all this light, but then, he made out a silhouette, which was casting a shadow on him. "Nani...?" The silhouette held out its hand, but not to him. Dizzy looked to his sides and noticed that not only Kohaku, but also Crimson Cycloner were nearby. The hand was held to Cycloner, who stared in awe at this figure, the Alpha letter appearing in his eye.

As this happened, Dizzy's Deck also began to glow, a single card sliding out from it. "REN NAGINATA HAS COMPLETED THE BONUS GAME AND CAN ADD ONE NORMAL SPELL CARD FROM HIS DECK TO HIS HAND."

Dizzy pulled out the card and looked at the card, and somehow, the sight of this card caused him to give a knowing look. The silhouette then looked at Kohaku, and despite the inability to see its face, Kohaku seemed to know the message it wanted to say. An otherworldly confidence began to overtake Kohaku, and with that confidence, he spoke. "...All right. I know what I need to do."

The blinding light finally faded, allowing everyone to see again... and what they saw absolutely stunned them. Kohaku and Dizzy were still there, but they looked radically different. Both of them had their outfits morphed into what could only be described as superhero outfits. Kohaku's outfit looked grander than Dizzy's, primarily colored red on top and blue on bottom, golden-yellow gloves and boots that looked rather intricate, a light green jacket, a white scarf billowing from his neck, red shoulder pads overtop the jacket, and a gold coin embedded in his chest, the Alphomega symbol emblazoned on it. The blonde part of his hair had also spiked wildly in contrast to its usual straightness, seemingly mimicking the spikiness of the red and blue parts. Dizzy's outfit was largely green with a lot of red accents to it, including a red jacket of a darker shade than Kohaku's outfit, but this jacket was longer and had two coattails behind it. Noticeably, there was a sheath on his back with a sword in it (with the same style of hilt as the one in the game), and a silver coin with the Alpha letter emblazoned on it was embedded in the outfit's chest. Both of them were also wearing masks over their eyes, which looked a lot like the one worn by Alpha HERO - Mega Mask, having a bowtie-esque shape and covering their eyes with blank white eyespots.

"Madre de Dios!" Plata cried.

"What the...?" Cleo breathed.

"Am I seeing this right?" Sumiko wondered.

Doc was so stunned that he briefly spoke in English. "Holy sh-" Was all he got out before slapping his hand over mouth to stop himself. The others looked at him weirdly, making Doc blush in embarrassment.

Ichika was completely awed. "Amazing..."

"Yudin...?" Yuichi wondered if he was even looking at the same person.

Nazoko felt the sheer power they were giving off, causing her heart to skip a bit and make her place her hand to her head. "Nani...?!"

"This ain't good!" Pyro cried, the Sykonetyks clearly terrified.

"The boss is in trouble!" Electro cried, her and Aero holding each other as if trying to calm each other down.

"No." Atmos growled to himself. "They've awaken their powers."

Kohaku and Dizzy, who hadn't moved the entire time, finally snapped back to reality and realized what they now looked like, looking themselves over. "Whoa, check out the threads!" Dizzy chirped. "Talk about an upgrade! But how?"

"Heck if I know," Kohaku told him, still feeling rather confident, "but whatever happened, I know we're gonna win now."

"I hear that!" Dizzy shouted excitedly before looking at Atmos. "What else you got, Atmos?"

Atmos almost shouted at them, but caught himself beforehand, closing his eyes and composing himself. "Tough talk there, boys." He said as he opened his eyes again. "But the advantage is still mine! Watashi no turn! Draw!" He drew his card. "Yugoryu no kouka hatsudo!" The Tower provided the orange energy beam shut off. "By deactivating the EARTH Attribute Grand Soil, I can Special Summon a monster from either player's Graveyard!" The earth head roared before diving underground, moving as if it was rummaging around. "Yomigaere, Pixel HERO - Dragon Master!" The head rose back up, using its teeth to bring up a petrified version of the dragon. "Magic Card, Riptide, hatsudo! With a WATER monster on my field, I can switch the battle position of a monster on the field, and if I please, which I do, I can switch your monster's Attack and Defense Points!" The ice head clacked its teeth before firing a powerful jet of water that struck the ground, turning into a small wave that swept Red Blazer up, knocking him off his defenses.

Red Blazer ATK:2000/DEF:2500

"Go on!" Dizzy challenged. "I dare you!"

"As you wish! Yugoryu, attack Red Blazer and deplete Yudin's Life Points! Element Vortex!" The heads generated another blast of combined elemental energy before firing it at Red Blazer.

"Trap, hatsudo!" Dizzy shouted, his facedown flipping up. "Current and Pressure! This let's me choose your attack target for the rest of this turn, and I pick...Crimson Cycloner!" Cycloner rapidly moved his hands, manipulating the wind to start swirling near the incoming blast.

"Ehh?! That thing's only got 1400 Attack Points!" Geo shouted confused as the wind made the attack do a sharp turn to barrel toward Cycloner.

"Which is why I also have this! From my Graveyard, Vacuum Vortex, hatsudo!" Cycloner grinned before making the red tornado he was riding rage, growing in size. "Normally, this card can negate the effects of a Continuous Spell or Trap Card and then banish it, but by banishing it from my Graveyard, I take no damage and my monsters cannot be destroyed for the rest of the turn!" The spinning tornado created a vacuum effect, pulling the attack toward it and breaking it up bit by bit, absorbing the elements and reducing them to nothing.

"Shimata... All that preparation: Foiled!" Atmos cursed, clenching his fist tightly.

"Preparation can only go so far." Dizzy told him.

"And even then, that preparation was your downfall." Kohaku added, making Atmos groan more. "If you had just attacked one of us until we were down, you would've had us. But I guess you didn't have what it took to handle it."

"And now you've just lost your one chance to win." Dizzy finished.

"Maybe this is some sort of destiny." Kohaku said, almost tauntingly. "They say you can't fight fate, after all."

"Ngh... I won't go down without a fight..." Atmos growled, feeling rage start to rise within him. "Kaado ichi mai settei. Turn end!"

"Boku no turn!" Kohaku called, reaching for his Deck as the coin on his chest glowed, making his hand glow too. "Draw!" He drew his card with a trail of light. "Alpha Pixie no kouka hatsudo! By sending Red Blazer to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon it from my hand!" Red Blazer was absorbed by a yellow portal, then the small ball of light with the Alpha symbol emerged from the same portal.

Alpha Pixie: Lv.1 LIGHT Fairy/Base ATK:0/DEF:0

"Ikuze! Boku wa Red Hammer, Green Jumper, Blue Bomber, Star Striker to, Reberu Ichi no Alpha Pixie de Shinajaizu!" Alpha Pixie let out an echoing "HEY!", and four purple portals emerged, the four heroes named off emerging through them. "Kono go tai no tamashī o ketsugō shite, yori kyōryokuna atarashī no tamashī ga umareru!" The five monsters pooled their energy into a sphere of energy that mostly preferred yellow and green before morphing into Soul Towers, Alpha Pixie's tower still having the Alpha symbol. "Kōzu Shoukan!" The energy sphere morphed into the silhouetted humanoid, the lowercase Alpha drawing itself in front of it before spinning around and morphing. "The eternal mystery of the warrior of justice... strengthened by the power passed down the millennia! Composition Base Monster! Alpha HERO... Mega Mask!" The letter finished morphing into the mask of some sort, no eyeholes visible, which shot onto the silhouette's face, forming the Alpha on his chest before he backflipped and gave a three-point landing.

Alpha HERO - Mega Mask: Quality 1 LIGHT Warrior/Composition/Base ATK:500/DEF:500 5 Active Soul Towers

"Do it, Koha-kun!" Plata cried.

"Win this thing!" Doc added.

"It is ON!" Kohaku called out, the words echoing as he did. "Boku wa Red Blazer, Blue Bomber, Green Jumper, Star Striker, PK Kid, Monster Master, Speed Spike, Kuoritī Ichi no Alpha HERO - Mega Mask de Sūpā Shinajaizu!" The seven HEROes poured their energy into Mega Mask, whose body gained a powerful multi-colored aura. He then pulled off his mask and chucked it into the air, the aura following it. "Kono hachi tai no tamashī o ketsugō shite, yori kyōryokuna atarashī no tamashī ga umareru!" The coin on his chest glowed even brighter. "Sūpā Kōzu Shoukan!" The monsters morphed into Super Soul Towers, which fired beams of yellow light at the mask, filling it with energy and making it spin around, turning the aura red and into a solid, humanoid form. "Behind the mask is a hero with the power of many millennia! With the support of all who stand by him, there's nothing that can't be done! Alpha HERO - Wonderful Red!" The mask stopped spinning and attached to the humanoid's face, the figure crossing his arms on impact, the Alpha drawing itself on the chest again, before he shot his fists to the sky, revealing his true form and giving a flurry of punches before shooting down and punching the ground, getting up and standing confidently.

Alpha HERO - Wonderful Red: Quality 8 LIGHT Warrior/Composition ATK:2500/DEF:2000 8 Active Soul Towers

"Nice one, Koha-kun!" Dizzy complimented. "Now you can finish this!"

"No," Kohaku corrected, "WE can finish this! Alpha HERO - Wonderful Red no kouka hatsudo! Once per turn, by deactivating any number of Super Soul Towers, I can Special Summon a Wonder Token for each one!" Four of the new Towers shut off, and Wonderful Red caused Green Jumper, Speed Spike, Blue Bomber, and Monster Master to materialize on his sides, each of them gaining a smaller version of his mask.

Wonder Token x4: Lv.4 LIGHT Warrior/Token ATK:1500/DEF:0

"Furthermore, Wonderful Red gains 500 Attack Points for each other monster I control!" Wonderful Red held his right arm out, and all four Tokens jumped toward it, causing a red glow upon contact with his hand, merging to create a giant fist of energy.

Wonderful Red ATK:4500

"This is it! He's going for the win!" Kowa chirped.

"IKE! Wonderful Red, attack Yugoryu!" Wonderful Red leapt into the air and charged toward Yugoryu, intent on smashing his fist into it.

"BOSS!" The Sykonetyks cried.

Atmos let out a loud huff. "I think not! Continuous Trap, hatsudo! Reign of the Spirit Gods!" His facedown flipped up. "While I control an Elemental Lord, all monsters of different Attributes cannot attack, and monsters of the same Attribute have their Attack and Defense Points become 0 until my End Phase!" Yugoryu let out a loud roar from all four heads, the combined force of them throwing Wonderful Red back to Kohaku's field, the hand separating back into the four Wonder Tokens. The roar also made Cycloner's tornado dissipate, forcing him to drop back to the ground.

Crimson Cycloner ATK:0/DEF:0

Kohaku just smirked. "Nice trick." He said. "But that'll only get you so far. Dizzy-kun, it's all on you! Turn end!"

"Right, Koha-kun!" Dizzy shouted. "Ore no turn! Draw!" He drew his card, a gust of wind coming off him as he did, making him smirk when he saw it. "Perfect. Magic Card, Rotation of Dimensions, hatsudo! Thanks to this, I can change up the situation of some of my cards in one direction or the other." As he named off what he could do, he did the same thing: "For example, I banish one card in my hand, like Dizzy Disc. Then, I can move Grave Gyro back to my Graveyard, send Current and Pressure to the bottom of my Deck, and then draw one new card." He drew his final card. "And now, it's time for me to bring out my new power." He took the new card, the Alpha symbol appearing on the back. "Magic Card, Sword of Cyclones, hatsudo!" Right after playing the card, Dizzy reached back and pulled the sword on his back out of its sheath, confirming that it was the same one from the card, wind swirling around the blade. "With this card, Crimson Cycloner is treated as a Base monster while it's on the field!" Swinging the sword, he sent wind from the blade flying around Cycloner. The fiend boy felt the wind and grinned widely, making him reform his tornado. "Ore wa, Gale Force Dance Team, Cooling Fan, Drill Dancer, Grave Gyro, Rotation Star Pod to, Reberu Hachi no Crimson Cycloner de Shinajaizu!" Cycloner swiped his arms, his giant hands causing five purple portals to open up, surrounding himself with his other five WIND monsters. "Kono roku tai no tamashī o ketsugō shite, yori kyōryokuna atarashī no tamashī ga umareru!" His six monsters pooled their energies together, forming a pure green sphere of energy, before Cycloner clapped his main and giant hands, morphing himself and the others into Soul Towers. Gripping the hilt of his sword, Dizzy went to swipe it once more. "Kōzu... SHOUKAN!" He gave a powerful swipe, causing a wind gust that surrounded the sphere of green energy with a tornado, the tornado growing ever larger as it rose up, taking the sphere with it. Then, the tornado turned a bright red as red light billowed from within it. "The mighty wind that expels danger and guides the lowly and weak!" Two floating hands shot out of the tornado, both of them clad in red armor and being trailed by red tornadoes. Two identical armored hands came out the other side. All four hands were holding shields. "Carry the fallen to safety, and lead the righteous to victory!" The tornado was then dissipated like an explosion, showing a new form within. It appeared to be Cycloner, but the fiendish boy was now a teenager, clad in red and silver armor, his helmet's face guard up, allowing his face to be seen, eyes closed. His arms were folded over his chest. "Shimeishisha... Alpha-XV!" The fiendish knight shot his now-blue eyes open and held his hand above him, red wind swirling around it and forming a conical red-and-silver lance, which he grabbed. "Scarlet Order... Hurricaknight!" Smirking, Hurricaknight placed the lance in front of him before leaping higher and charging toward the ground, lance forward with a tornado surrounding him. He slammed into the ground with a jousting strike before leaping up. Then, the red wind seemed to become sort of steed, Hurricaknight landing on its back and pointing his lance forward, the four red hands flanking him.

Designator Envoy Alpha-XV: Scarlet Order Hurricaknight: Quality 8 WIND Fiend/Composition ATK:3700/DEF:2850 6 Active Soul Towers

"Designator Envoy?" Cleo questioned. "You mean that card's in the same series as Yugoryu?"

"The Designators... allies of the Alphomega." Ichika explained. "Every Alphomega has them, and the Designator Envoys... are the true forms of the Designators' power."

"Yudin...What are you?" Nazoko whispered, as he gently grabbed her shirt right near her heart, feeling a small pain there.

"This is total craziness..." Ginju shouted. "Dizzy's someone on par with Atmos?!"

"And he isn't the only one." Ichika continued, causing all the spectators to look at him look at him. "You heard them. The sight of those coins during that cutscene for the mini-game scared them. Likely Kohaku has a total of 24 Designators, meaning 23 are still out there, waiting to be awakened. Indeed... and with Kohaku using his own latent power... I believe that Atmos has no chance of winning this now."

"It doesn't matter." Atmos said, getting everyone's attention back. "My Trap still affects you monster, too, Naginata."

"You wish!" Dizzy shouted. "When Hurricaknight is Composition Summoned, every active effect on the field is negated, even if that card isn't on the field anymore!" Yugoryu roared at Hurricaknight, but with a swipe of his lance, the fiend knight's four hands threw up their shields, deflecting the force of the roar and rendering him completely immune to their power. "Hurricaknight, attack Yugoryu!" Hurricaknight twirled his lance before readying it, wind swirling around the weapon, before charging forward, his wind "horse" taking him forward. "Scarlet Spiral Joust!" The rotation force of the wind around the lance caused Hurricaknight's steed to start flying and spinning around like a drill, increasing the force even more. With a yell, Hurricaknight plunged its lance right into the crevice between Yugoryu's middle two heads, driving it completely inside. As the lance's power unleashed itself within Yugoryu's body, Hurricaknight quickly leapt away as a chain reaction of explosions rocked Yugoryu's body piece by piece, each head being destroyed one by one before the entire monster finally exploded.

"AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!" Atmos screamed, being thrown clean off his feet and even into a forced flip from the sheer force.

"BOOOOOOSSSSS!" The Sykonetyks cried, their boss slamming into a piece of the barrier, sliding to the ground.

Atmos LP:900

"Not good." Psycho said, worriedly typing on his Gamepad. After a few seconds, a strange portal opened next to him. "I gotta tell the real boss." Shutting off his Gamepad, the boy leapt into the portal, which closed behind him.

"Aw, yeah!" Kire whooped. "Now he's on the ropes!"

"You have nothing left, Atmos," Dizzy told him.

Kohaku nodded. "It's over."

Atmos groaned as he tried to get back up. "No..." He growled, his eyes starting to glow on and off. "You will not win so easily! Trap, hatsudo! Punishment of the Spirit Gods!" His facedown flipped up, crackling dangerously with elemental energy. "Because you destroyed a Spirit God monster by battle, during my Standby Phase, I can banish that card from my Graveyard..." Yugoryu vanished from the other realm. "...and then during my Standby Phase, you receive damage equal to its Attack Points!"

Cleo gasped when she realized what that meant. "But that means..."

"Even if they win the Game..." Doc continued.

"They'll lose..." Kowa finished.

"Can't they just use one of the Game Cards and win before that happens?" Ginju asked.

"That would be too much of a risk." Yuichi told him. "If Atmos won, they're screwed there, too, and he's good at those!"

"Th-This can't be right!" Yoru stammered. "There's gotta be some Game that can get them out of this!"

"There may be." Ichika said, pointed at the heroes. "Look, they don't even seem worried."

Indeed, Kohaku wasn't still smiling. In fact, he actually chuckled. "Nice job, Dizzy-kun... You opened the final lock."

"Just following your lead, Koha-kun." Dizzy told him. "Just promise me one thing."

"What's that?" Kohaku asked.

"Something tells me our lives just flipped head over heels." Dizzy continued. "Whatever happens after this, win or lose," he looked over at Kohaku, "don't ever change."

Kohaku smiled back. "I don't plan to. Everyone I know knows who I am. And that guy isn't going anywhere."

"Good to know. Then let's do this."

"What's he talkin' about?" Geo wondered out loud.

"My stomach doesn't feel right about this..." Pyro said, concerned.

Atmos was confused as well, but Kohaku smirked again, holding up the Silver Game Card, which was once again glowing. Atmos's eyes widened, knowing exactly what that glow meant. "No... it can't be!"

"When I first saw the riddle for the final level, it didn't make any sense. 'Open the Door of Destiny, The shield of wind becomes your key, Surpass the old line easily, Find 1-8 and seize victory.' It was like a cheesy video game climax line." Kohaku mused. "But now it all makes sense. Dizzy's Envoy was able to destroy yours. An Envoy of XV beating an Envoy of XIV. So now, it's time for end this with a bang."

The two young heroes looked at each other and nodded. "Turn end." Was all Dizzy said.

"GAME CARD INTERMISSION." Kohaku made sure to load the Silver Game Card with his four other Games while Dizzy loaded five, but they knew what would happen when they saw the 10 cards arranged. Sure enough, even though the roulette moved, it stopped dead on the silver card. "ACCESSING WORLD MAP." The card's glow took the AR field back to Medieval Plains, the final Game visible in the castle's throne room, still blocked off by the barrier. Kohaku held out his hand, the coin on his chest glowing. The barrier seemed to resonate with the coin, matching its glow, causing Kukiran to fly into view and watch what happened. Then, the barrier slowly faded away, the path drawing itself and turning the space red.

"Wow... You actually broke the barrier! Amazing!" Kukiran said in awe.

They were too pre-occupied with the space opening up to hear anything Atmos said to himself, including a low growl. "Bakana! He's come this far?! He's growing faster than the Master anticipated!" He looked back and forth, panicking a bit. "I have to do something, but what?" He gazed back at the final space of the map as Kohaku moved his D-Vatar to it, the sign turning to face them.

World 1-8: ?

"It... doesn't have a name?" Kohaku wondered.

"Then what's it supposed to be?" Dizzy asked.

"...I understand now..." Atmos said, loud enough for them to hear. The two of them just looked at Atmos in confusion, only to see him looking down with glowing eyes, clenching his fist. "I will not simply stand by and let you undo all our hard work..." He looked up, glaring daggers at them. "Yudin! Naginata! If I cannot stop you through a Duel..." His hands began to conjure energy, forming floating masses of fire, water, rocks, and wind around him. "...then I shall terminate you with my FULL POWER!" Shooting his arms out, Atmos let out a roar as the four elements converged on him, turning his body into an amorphous mass of elemental energy. The energy then darted around before shooting toward the final game, being absorbed into the space and making it give off an ominous aura.

"He... He just jumped into the game!" Dizzy cried in shock. Everyone else was just as stunned as he was.

"How could he..." Kohaku started to say, but he started to get an idea. "Wait, you don't think..."

Dizzy looked over at him. "Can we?"

"It's worth a try!" Mimicking what Atmos did, Kohaku and Dizzy focused on their innate powers, causing the coins on their chests to glow. Energy began to swirl around Kohaku while winds began to kick up around Dizzy. Wonderful Red and Hurricaknight moved next to their masters as if sensing their growing powers and began focusing their own energy into them, causing their Soul Towers to start firing their beams at their users. Feeling the surge of energy, Kohaku then held up his glowing hand, somehow causing Dizzy into morph into energy, absorbing him into his coin, making his eyes flash. "It is ON!" His coin glowing, Kohaku then morphed himself into energy and flew into the space, going right by his D-Vatar and making it freak out.

"Wha... Whahappened?" Kukiran sputtered out in utter disbelief, but then, the sign outside the game changed to finally show a name:

World 1-8: Dragon Slayers

Everyone was dumbfounded. "What the f..." Doc started to say in English, only to catch himself before he swore. "What just..."

"Did they..." Cleo said.

"And he..." Kowa sputtered.

"Are they..." Ginju wondered.

"...in the game?" Plata finally completed the group's collective thought.

The Sykonetyks merely watched on with tense looks, Aero gulping. "It's come to this..." Pyro breathed.

Hydro nodded. "It's all on the boss now."

"If he can't stop them here..." Cryo started.

"There may not be any stopping him at all." Electro finished.

The gateway to the game gave off a bright flash of light, and numerous explosions were heard while everyone's vision was obscured. When the light finally died down, Kohaku was standing alone in the castle's throne room... with the open sky visible. Looking around, he saw that everything in the floors above him in the castle having been completely destroyed, leaving ruins everywhere and allowing the sky to be seen. He could also see the remains of the four destroyed crystals surrounding the castle. "Koha-kun... what's going on?" Plata asked, not really expecting him to answer.

However, he then looked right at her, and seemingly answered her. "I don't know, Plata-chan..."

"YUDIN!" A familiar voice echoed angrily. Kohaku quickly whirled around, looking up to see Atmos floating in the air. His arms crossed, one hand gripping his bicep, and the man was glaring daggers at him. "I admit, you've done well to get this far and unlock your true potential... but it all ends here! I cannot let you become the Alphomega!"

"Maybe if you would tell me what's so bad about it, I wouldn't actually try to!" Kohaku shot back. "You think I don't have any common sense?"

Atmos swiped one arm. "It's too late for that, Yudin! The process has already begun, and now that you've had a taste of your true power, you won't be able to stop yourself from uncovering more. That is how all Alphomegas before you went. Your persistence thus far has left me without option: I must destroy you while your power is weak!"

"Fat chance of that, buddy!" Dizzy's voice rang out. Kohaku looked back and forth, wondering where the voice came from, but when he heard it again, he realized the coin on his chest was flashing. The voice was coming from within. "You think you can stop Koha-kun now? You and your little helpers are part of what helped Koha-kun get this far!"

Kohaku realized Dizzy had a point, staring back at Atmos sternly. "He's right, Atmos. Because you sent the other Sykonetyks and the Spirit Gods after me, I was able to collect the remaining Silver Coins! You're the one to blame for me being this strong!"

Atmos narrowed his eyes, letting out a low growl. "...Which is why I have every intention of fixing that mistake!" He threw out his arms, causing the elements to reform and surround him once more. "You may think you got rid of Yugoryu in our Duel, but the rules are different here, and I still need to show you what my powers are capable of." Crossing his arms, the elements merged with him again as his body became nothing but energy, turning into a combined mass of all types of energy, much like Yugoryu's body. Then. the wreckage of the destroyed castle began to float before being pulled to Atmos, surrounding him on all sides... and morphing into familiar armor.

"Nani?" Yuichi wondered.

Then, the wreckage of the four destroyed crystals was pulled to his body as rock, ice, fire, and wind emerged from the front of the body. The crystal pieces surrounded all four individual elements, morphing into different armors as the elements took the form of necks. "Out there, Yugoryu was no more than a card..." Atmos's voice echoed from seemingly nowhere as four familiar heads formed at the ends of the necks. "...but in this world..." Four sets of eyes shot open. "WE ARE ONE!" The four heads took the form of dragons, and the revived form of Yugoryu let out a combined furious roar, Atmos's angry shout heard from within. Kohaku merely stood his ground, but for those watching, the sound of an alarm was heard as strange text appeared overtop the monster, the AR system itself speaking:

"WARNING! WARNING!"

Combination Dragon
Four-Element Spirit God - Yugoryu

"So, that's what this is." Kohaku mused, cracking his knuckles. "I thought there might be an actual boss battle in this game. Looks like you're it."

"Kids, I suggest we should run for cover. This might get dangerous." Ichika suggested.

"I'm all for that!" Kowa yelped, already going for cover.

"Yeah, we don't know how real this'll get!" Doc added, joining him. Plata and Cleo just stared at Kohaku, worried enough that they didn't notice the group ducking behind some rubble, at least not until Ginju and Kire dragged them there.

Even Nazoko started to looked a little concerned, confusing her as to why she seemed to care, but she quickly snapped out of it when she felt Yuichi grab her wrist, pulling her along. "Let go of me!" She growled.

"Stow it, girl!" Yuichi fired back. "You wanna get killed? Move!" He continued dragging her behind the rubble, only letting go when she was there.

"Geo, Cryo!" Pyro called to the others.

"Already on it!" Geo said before he and Cryo quickly threw up a personal barrier of rock and ice around all six of them.

Atmos/Yugoryu, who was on its hind legs, came back down to quadruped level, the impact shaking the ground. "Let's see if your power actually matches your bluster, Yudin!" His echoing voice said within the giant frame. "All four elements are under my control! You will not defeat me!"

"That's why I'm not fighting alone!" Kohaku cried, swiping his arms. His coin glowed brightly, releasing an orb of energy that floated around Kohaku before stopping next to him, reforming into Dizzy in his hero outfit.

"We'll take you down together!" Dizzy shouted, drawing his sword.

"If you're going all out... then so will I!" Kohaku then punched the coin on his chest, causing the Alphomega symbol on it to be traced in a rainbow glow, the symbol giving off a pulse of light. Kohaku let out a yell as power seemed to radiate off him, then he crossed his arms while looking forward (to everyone else's vision). With another yell, Kohaku did a short bit of posing before giving a thumbs-down, changing it to a thumbs-up as a mouth guard formed over the rest of his face, a cape forming behind him. "Alpha Force, time to fight!"

Dizzy hit his own coin, gaining a similar face guard and cape. "Roger!" The two heroes stared the monster down as, to the others, something appeared above Atmos: A health bar, filling up four separate sections colored red, blue, green, and brown.

GO!

The minute the word was spoken, Kohaku began looking back and forth between them, as if trying to decide where to start. Eventually, he stopped on the fire head and nodded in confirmation of his target. "You're mine!" Rushing forward, he heard a confirmation noise as his fist began glowing with a golden aura.

As he did, however, Dizzy twirled his sword before locking eyes with a target of his own, just as Kohaku slammed his fist into the fire head's face. "Don't leave me out, Koha-kun!" He cried before charging forward, hearing the same confirmation noise as he leapt up and slashed the earth head, causing Atmos to give a small yell in pain.

"You think I'll be defeated so easily?" Atmos roared at them. "I'll devour you!" The earth head's eyes glowed before lashing forward, creating a set of teeth made out of rock before clamping them down around Kohaku. Though the teeth didn't physically puncture his skin, Kohaku cried out as he felt actual pain from the impact, the rock teeth breaking as the earth head retracted. "Now taste my power! Cyclone Surge!" The wind head's eyes flashed before it took a deep breath, gathering in the air itself before firing a powerful blast of wind at Dizzy, knocking him back a ways from the impact.

However, Dizzy slammed his sword into the ground as a makeshift brake, withstanding the rest of the wind. "You think you can blow me down? I'll show you who's the wind master here!" He cried, rushing forward to keep fighting.

None of the speech could be heard by everyone watching. It was if no more than the sounds of battle could be heard even though they seemed to be right outside the castle, watching it unfold. "Why isn't Koha-kun doing anything else?" Plata wondered as the words "Blaze Bullet" appeared above the whole fight, the fire head rearing back before launching a large fireball from its mouth, striking and damaging Kohaku, an actual damage number appearing over his head. "He's just standing there taking it!"

"Maybe to us, he is." Yuichi said, confusing her. "Look, down there!" He pointed, making the girl notice something she hadn't before: Below the action, she saw Kohaku and Dizzy's names alongside 4-digit numbers, Kohaku's currently decreasing. Next to the number was a gauge that was slowly filling up. "That's a Speed Gauge!"

"A Speed Gauge?" Kire asked. "Like an ATB combat Speed Gauge?"

"Yeah! It might look like an RPG to us, but I think to them, it's an actual fight!" Yuichi replied as the ice head neglected a special attack in order to simply bite Dizzy, only for the attack to miss. Right after that happened, Kohaku's gauge completely filled, and the others could see a command menu near him: "Attack", "Special", "Item", "Defend", and a fifth command completely inaccessible, its writing too dark to discern. As Kohaku appeared to select "Special", Yuichi clenched his fist. "Here's hoping they've got what they need to win this!"

Kohaku held his hand in front of him, seeing energy form in the palm. "I can feel a bunch of different powers coming from within me… It's amazing!" He concentrated his mind on the energy, and flashes of different attacks were seen in his mind: A thunder shot, a blast of icy wind, but another idea made much more sense when he took another look at the ice head. "Yatta!" Clapping his hands together, he focused his power and caused fire to form around them, the others seeing him select a move as he shouted it: "Fireball Blitz!" With rapid thrusts of his arms, Kohaku threw a barrage of fireballs directly at the ice head, the combined impacts forming a single fireball that exploded in its face, the hit sound being much harsher as the others saw a damage number in red rather than white.

"Super-effective damage!" Doc cried.

"Nice shot, Koha-kun!" Dizzy chirped, getting a thumbs-up from Kohaku. "Let's see what I can do!" He tried to focus on his own internal power, wind swirling around the blade as he did. However, as he did, he felt something appear that wasn't there before. Looking down, he noticed that not only did his jacket now have a pocket, but something was sticking out of it. "An item?" He pulled out the item, which resembled some sort of rainbow-colored crystal. Rainbow energy could be seen pulsing within it, almost begging to be let out. Simply staring at this energy seemed to be enough for Dizzy to know what he should do with it. "…Ultima Crystal! Activate!" He cried, throwing the crystal over Kohaku's head. Kohaku looked up as the crystal stopped above his head, shaking violently before shattering and releasing the energy within, the energy immediately surrounding Kohaku and slowly infusing itself in the coin on his chest.

"Dizzy-kun, what the heck was that thing?" Kohaku asked, seeing a slight rainbow glow coming from his chest.

Dizzy just smiled. "Whatever it is, I'm sure it's gonna be helpful later!" He said, seeing the symbol on Kohaku's coin slowly be partially traced over in rainbow.

"Not if I finish you off first!" Atmos yelled at them. "I shouldn't have started with simple attacks beforehand. I'll show you my strongest attack right now!" One by one, each of Yugoryu's four heads gnashed their teeth, their mouths glowing with energy. Then, the heads brought themselves together and released the energy between them all, four colors of energy swirling around each other as they grew stronger and stronger. "Fall, XV! Element Vortex!" His attack name was seen even to the spectators as, with a mighty roar, the energy shot toward Kohaku and Dizzy as a powerful spiraling mass of dust, rocks, ice, water, fire, and wind. The sheer power of the attack struck the two of them from all angles, taking the form of four hits to both of them from the view of the spectators, the final hit striking Dizzy hard with a large rock carried by the vortex for super-effective damage. However, Kohaku managed to stomp one foot down, defiantly maintaining his balance. "No… That should have done far more to you!"

"I guess… I'm more durable than you thought!" Kohaku said through panting breaths. However, Dizzy's pained groan got his attention, making him look over to see Dizzy stumbling a bit, having to use his sword to brace himself. The silver coin on his chest had a red glow that faded in and out, almost as a sign of danger. "Dizzy-kun?"

"That… hurt… a lot." Dizzy weakly said, the pain evident by his struggling words. He coughed a few times, Kohaku thanking whatever god existed that he didn't see any blood. "I don't know… how long I can last…" He looked over at Kohaku. "Koha-kun… Your coin…"

"Eh?" Kohaku looked down. Though he could see the glow itself, he couldn't see the symbol on his coin, which was now traced fully in rainbow.

"I think you just… got a new power." Dizzy told him. "Might as well… use it, right?"

"The fifth command!" Ichika said, noticing that the formerly-unusable command now had visible writing: "Ultimate".

Kohaku continued looking down as if trying to see the coin itself, but something about the glow made him slowly less uneasy about it. "If it helps... I'll use it!" Focusing his energy on the coin, the rainbow glow slowly spread from the coin to across Kohaku's entire body. With a clap of his hands, his eyes flashed behind the mask as he spoke, his voice gaining a powerful echo: "ALPHA CHANNEL!" He quickly thrust his arms to the side, and the rainbow suddenly broke off from his, various silhouettes of different colors seeming to zip around him and Dizzy. Then, three of them combined on Kohaku's right, taking the form of a pitch-black female figure with short hair. Kohaku couldn't make out any details besides the apparent metal design of her outfit and the same mask he wore.

Likewise, three of the other silhouette converged on Dizzy's left, taking the form of a silhouetted young man, clearly holding some sort of odd staff. "Whoa..." Dizzy breathed, trying to study this new figure. However, he could only make out a long coat and the same mask.

"We're here to help!" Both voices spoke, their voices heavily distorted as the male silhouette twirled his staff.

"Nani?" Atmos gasped. "You... created allies?!"

"I... think?" Kohaku wondered.

The male figure looked over at Dizzy, noting his injured state, his own Speed Gauge already full. "I can see your lower defenses haven't been kind to you. I'll patch you up." He said before holding his staff in front of him, gathering energy into the top and causing it to glow with a green light. "First Aid!" Pointing the staff at Dizzy, he caused the energy to surround and cover Dizzy, green crosses coming off the energy. Slowly, Dizzy felt the pain fade from his body, signs of physical damage beginning to repair themselves, as his HP began to rise.

"Man, I'm glad you're a healer." Dizzy said, managing to stand up straight again. "I can't fight effectively that way!" His Speed Gauge filled up after this, and he clenched his sword. "Time for a little payback!" The wind from around the blade swirled, giving Dizzy a very good idea of what he could do. Holding his sword aloft, the wind turned red and began to condense around the blade. The powerful winds seemed to slowly scrape at the blade, acting as a makeshift whetstone as the edges slowly became sharper. Then, Dizzy turned the blade sideways to allow one eye to be seen from a front view, the wind scattering to reveal a glowing red blade. "Super Spinner Slash!" Wind surrounded Dizzy's feet as he placed one foot at an angle, then pushed off the ground with the other foot to began spinning slowly, picking up speed with each rotation. Soon, he was little more than a rapid top, whipping up a personal cyclone as he barreled toward the dragon. Within the wind, Dizzy's one foot on the ground leapt off, sending the tornado into the air and directly toward the earth head. The sheer speed of Dizzy's spin caused the blade of his sword to rake across the rocky head not just quickly, but with a lot of force, delivering numerous slash marks in the span of two seconds before the head recoiled, knocking him away. "Whoaaaaaaa!" Dizzy sailed through the air, using his spin momentum to right his balance in midair, nailing a three-point landing with his free hand.

"The earth head's low on health!" Plata pointed out. Even though they couldn't see the health bar, the signs of the earth head losing strength were clear: The head itself was lightly breaking from its various wounds, ragged breaths coming from it.

"I'll finish it off!" The female shadow said as her Speed Gauge filled up. "Lemme show you what I can do!" The silhouette selected "Attack", and when she did, she appeared to cock something attached to her wrist before aiming it at the earth head. "Eat THIS!" Pulling an unseen trigger on her arm, the girl was knocked back a bit by the force of something being launched from her arm: A blinking, beeping, metallic sphere. The earth head roared at the sphere, but as it got closer, its blinking got faster, and its beeping became more high-pitched. Then, out of nowhere, the beeps became one solid noise as the sphere exploded right in the head's face, explosion force and shrapnel bombarding the head from close range. One of the head's horns was blown clean off as massive cracks appeared down its snout, the dragon letting out a loud, painful roar. "Yosh! Right in the weak spot!"

"That was a critical hit… AND super-effective!" Yoru realized, seeing not just the red damage number, but also how it was larger than normal with a starburst under it. The earth head shuddered violently, the pain taking an incredible toll, but that was when the others saw it: The brown section of the being's health gauge completely emptied out, that section of the health bar shattering and letting the other sections stick together. A hollow sound came from the weakened head, but then, its eyes slowly faded out of existence, and the head of rock fell limply to the ground, impacting with the loud CRACK of more stone.

"No… Not one of our heads!" Atmos cried within the beast, letting out an angry yell. "You will pay for this! Element Vortex!" Despite the loss of one head, the other three paid it no mind, coming together and pooling what power they had left. Roaring, the remaining heads unleashed its attack, no longer strengthened by the dust and rock, the vortex washing over all four of its opponents and striking them all.

However, as the vortex dissipated, Dizzy, despite feeling the force of the attack, looked himself over. He also noticed that he didn't feel that hurt compared to last time, and that's when the realization hit him. "Koha-kun… that attack was weaker than before!"

Kohaku panted, the combined attacks starting to take a toll on him. "I almost… didn't notice, but yeah… I think that attack needed all four heads to be at full power. Maybe if we focus fire on each one… we can lower the DPS!" Atmos's angry growl resonated within Yugoryu's body, and Kohaku couldn't help but smile. "I think I've got enough power… for another good shot!" Selecting "Special" again, he clapped his hands and gathered fire around them. "Fireball Blitz!" He quickly thrust his arms forward multiple times, launching another storm of fireballs forward. Once again, the fireballs struck the ice head and collected into a larger flame, exploding near it and causing another powerful burst of damage that dealt massive damage, parts of the ice head beginning to actually melt.

"That head's on the ropes!" Doc cried.

"I'll let you finish that head off." The healer told Dizzy as it twirled its staff, gathering green energy into it once more. "Our leader needs my help. First Aid!" He caused the energy to surround Kohaku this time, healing him of most of the damage he had taken throughout the battle.

"Arigatou!" Kohaku cried.

The healer nodded. "This is the last time I can help you. We will fade soon. We cannot last long as we are now."

"But I'll do my best to help while I'm here, too!" The female warrior cried.

"Glad to know we've got allies in other places!" Dizzy said. "I can probably take that head out with one more slash!" Rushing forward, Dizzy leapt into the air before coming back down, slashing his sword right across the center of the ice head, directly across the cracks caused from all the damage. Another pained roar came from the ice head as its horns broke off, and it slumped to the ground hard, the blue section of the health bar emptying before cracking and destroying.

"Bakana! How are you destroying my monster so easily?!" Atmos shouted.

"Maybe it's because you're only the boss of World 1?" Kohaku asked rhetorically. "First bosses tend to come in two types: They're either not that strong, or they've got a weakness. And we've already found yours: You need all your heads to have a good DPS! Now that you've been taken down a notch, we can turn this around!"

"I don't need multiple heads for wide-range power!" The female warrior said, selecting "Special" from her menu. All of a sudden, she whipped out a strange metallic device with a hand crank and jammed it into the launcher on her arm, taking aim at the dragon… only to then aim lower. "Spritz Bomb!" She began rapidly turning the hand crank, and the launcher began shooting the spherical bombs at a quick pace. The bombs bounced and rolled along the ground to underneath the quartet of heads, coming to a rest as their repeated blinking grew faster and louder. The bombardier closed her eyes and covered her ears, hints of a grin on her shadowed face, as the bombs exploded all at once, inflicting damage to both of the remaining heads.

"Oh, man..." Aero breathed, worried. "The boss is going down like he's nothing...!"

"I didn't think an Alphomega could have this much power!" Pyro cried. Indeed, Atmos could barely use any real attacks anymore, opting to simply launch another fireball at Kohaku and bite Dizzy with the wind head.

However, when the bite connected, the Alpha letter on Dizzy's coin, which was also being traced in rainbow, finally had the trace completed, giving off a flash. "Whoa!" Dizzy cried, feeling a rush go through him when that happened. "I feel like my power just surged!" His blade's wind began to violently rage as if agreeing with him.

Kohaku's Speed Gauge filled up, and he noticed the shadowed warriors begin to glow. "Looks like their time's up." He mused. That said, he smiled when the warriors waved at him, encouraging him before they vanished. "Let's bring this home, Dizzy-kun. Follow after me!" Dizzy nodded, and Kohaku chose "Attack". The wind head looked a lot worse off compared to the fire head, so Kohaku shot forward, jumped, and drove his fist into the fire head's front, breaking off a couple pieces of armor.

As Kohaku's attack went through, Dizzy focused his energy into the coin on his chest, causing the rainbow glow to get even brighter. The wind surrounding his blade began to turn a deep red, swirling harshly, and with a flash of his eyes, he unconsciously selected "Ultimate". Holding his sword in front of himself, Dizzy leapt into the air and began swinging the sword around and around over his head, churning the air and causing it to swirl around him, covering himself in a red vortex of wind. "Haaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh..." His voice made this noise as his sword-swinging got faster and faster, surrounded in a sphere of red wind. Then, he genuinely spoke: "Cyclone... Slash... STORM!" At blinding speed, Dizzy slashed his sword five times in a row the exact same way... causing five red wind blades to shoot out from the sphere toward Atmos. As they barreled toward the dragon, the trails of wind behind the blades appeared to merge together, taking a familiar form: One of Crimson Cycloner's giant clawed hands. Dizzy angled his sword to the side, causing the hand to seemingly move away from the dragon, but he then slashed right back across with a shout. The giant hand's fingers spread as it suddenly changed course once more, its wind blade "nails" raking right across the two remaining heads, causing Atmos to let out another pained shout.

From the sidelines, this powerful attack was seen from the game's point of view, and after the wind hand struck its targets and faded, the two remaining heads' health bars slowly depleted... until they were empty, cracking and shattering. "That... That's all of it!" Yoru cried. "They beat it!" The two remaining heads weakly roared before they themselves fell to the ground limply, the frame of its HP bar flashing red.

Atmos's pained groan emanated from Yugoryu's body as Dizzy slowly floated back to the ground. With its HP bar depleted, its body began to crumble, armor pieces disintegrating and elements starting to flicker out of existence. "We've got him now!" Dizzy cried.

"Then it's time for one final strike!" Kohaku cried, holding up his hand as his coin began to glow away.

Kohaku held up his hand, his coin glowing again. Dizzy mimicked the gesture with his own coin glowing, but then, something appeared behind Kohaku: The familiar silhouette of the healer. Then the bombardier's shadow appeared, and then one Kohaku didn't recognize. More and more of these shadows kept appearing until there were a total of 23 of them, Dizzy in front of all of them as if he was their leader. On each of their chests was the same silver glow as Dizzy's.

Yugoryu's damaged fire head slowly rose and stared at the beings, the dragon letting out a pained, weak roar. "THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!" Atmos shrieked, the dragon itself opening its mouth as if trying to ready another attack.

Kohaku held his arms out to the sides, his eyes flashing behind his mask. "Final Strike!" His feet lifted off the ground as he began to float, his team following him into the air, Kohaku hovering while he was surrounded by all 24 figures. Then, Dizzy and the rest of them glowed brightly before morphing into pure energy. Each of them flew toward Kohaku and infused themselves into his chest coin, Kohaku feeling power course through him as a powerful aura. "...Alpha-XV..." Then, he briefly touched the ground again, only to immediately use it to simply leap much higher into the air. As he rose with his still outstretched hand, energy poured into it, forming a shell of rainbow energy in the form of a fist that began growing in size, yet Kohaku never had any trouble keeping it held aloft. Eventually it grew to an enormous size, and within the fist-shaped shell, Dizzy and the silhouettes of the other 23 figures were visible within. Looking down at Yugoryu, Kohaku swung the giant fist around before charging toward it, the fist's energy flaring as it was held in punching position. The fire head weakly unleashed a stream of fire at him, but Kohaku didn't falter. "Grand... IMPACT!" With a thrust of his arm, Kohaku pushed the giant fist forward, into the path of the flames. The shell of energy impacted the fire and simply punched through it, dissipating the flames without effort as it stayed on its collision course with Yugoryu.

And then... impact. Kohaku's giant fist slammed right into the crevice between Yugoryu's middle two heads, seemingly not going any further than this, the sound of breaking metal and crunching elements being heard... but then, the fist suddenly tore straight through the body. Kohaku squinted his eyes shut as he barreled through the elemental energy, feeling the force of it, but eventually, the fist found the other end of the body and completely annihilated the tail, smashing open a hole that Kohaku flew out from. As he did, the shell around his hand shattered, and Kohaku landed on the very edge of the castle's wreckage, Dizzy and the silhouettes landing all around him. Kohaku panted heavily, slowly standing up and turning around, as did the others. Yugoryu's body wasn't moving an inch, barely even twitching from the hole torn between its two central heads and the gaping hole that was once its tail, energy leaking out like it was bleeding. Then, beams of light began to come from the creature, before the energy within began to erupt in a chain reaction of explosions that spread to all that was left, destroying the armor and further destabilizing the elements. Atmos's voice was heard screaming in agony before one final explosion caused a bright flash of light, blinding not just Kohaku's vision, but that of the spectators...

FINISH!

The bright light finally died down, allowing everyone's vision to return. They were once again seemingly standing outside the World Map version of Medieval Plains, the boss stage's space visible. Then, the space turned blue as powerful energy came out of it, seemingly spitting out three familiar masses of energy. Two of them reformed into Kohaku and Dizzy, still wearing their hero outfits, who stood up and looked around, only to see the remaining energy mass. It flew around erratically, almost crashing into the ground twice as if it had no strength, before finally impacting the ground, reforming into an unconscious Atmos. "BOSS!" The Sykonetyks cried, rushing over to their leader and surrounding him. Geo started shaking him to try and wake him up, Hydro splashing a bit of water on him.

Kohaku and Dizzy just stared at this scene for a while, not really sure what to say. "Koha-kun...? Dizzy...?" They heard Yoru nervously say behind them, making them both turn around to look at their friends, who all had incredulous looks on their faces.

"A... Are you guys OK?" Cleo asked.

Dizzy smiled. "Yeah... Yeah, we're fine."

Kohaku nodded. "We beat this game, so..." He gave a thumbs-up with a smile. "Duel Clear!" An 8-bit jingle that sounded like that of a Game Clear tune sounded as the AR screen showed their faces.

Kohaku and Dizzy: AUTOMATIC WIN

"EEEEHHHHH?!" The Sykonetyks all cried.

"B-B-But how?!" Electro cried. "The boss still has Life Points!"

Kohaku held up his Gamepad. "Apparently, it's part of the game: If we beat the boss, the Duel is ours no matter what!"

Pyro let out a low growl before holding up his arms, opening the tips and activating the flames. "Then I say we screw the rules!" He yelled.

The other Sykonetyks brandished all their elemental tech, Kohaku and Dizzy standing their ground with the latter actually pulling out his sword again, but then, the sound of Atmos groaning got the attention of his subordinates, making them look back. "Boss?" Hydro wondered.

The man slowly sat up, holding his head with a pained groan. "What... happened...?" He groaned, opening his eyes, slowly recognizing his comrades. "Everyone... What have we been doing...?" Then, his eyes widened, as if he realized something. He wasn't even looking at Kohaku and Dizzy as his face turned to one of dread. "Oh, no... What have I done?!" He quickly threw his arms to his sides, surrounding himself in elemental energy before vanishing through it.

"Nandato? Why'd he run away?" Geo wondered. At that point, the Sykonetyks' Gamepads all beeped, and when they checked them, they all saw the same message:

Return to base! That's an order! -Atmos

"He wants us... to run away?" Aero asked.

"I think something's wrong with the boss..." Cryo mused. "We should go. We need to make sure he's all right."

Pyro growled, looking over at Kohaku. "This isn't over, Yudin... We'll meet again!" He surrounded himself in flames before disappearing from sight. The other Sykonetyks nodded at each other before also surrounding themselves with their own elements, which vanished along with their wielders, leaving the group in the park by themselves.

Kohaku let out a breath. "Well, I am so glad we didn't end up in another fight."

"Yeah... that was crazy." Dizzy mused. The coins on the boys' chests glowed, covering them with light, and when it faded, both of them had reverted to their original appearances. The coins remained, however, falling onto the ground with shrill dinging noises. Dizzy stooped down to pick up his coin. "Huh, what do ya know? They're real after all." He examined the coin on all sides.

"Yeah." Kohaku said, picking up his own coin. "Maybe we'll be able to figure out exactly what they are." He then noticed that the AR field was still active, still seeing Medieval Plains' boss space, which was marked as complete. Then, a small light came out of the space, hovering there for a moment before giving off a small burst of light. It morphed into a triangular, glass-like shard, floating over to hover in front of Kohaku. "Huh? What's this thing?" As he stared at the shard, his eyes widened in realization. "Wait..." He thought back to the first vision he had, trying to remember the details. He could see the pitch-blackness he was once standing in, the eight circles in a line... and the glass-like pieces from before, like this one. "I remember this."

"What is it?" Plata wondered.

"That's... a Soul Shard." Answered an unlikely voice. Kohaku looked up and realized that Kukiran was floating in front of him. "There's supposed to be eight of them, but I only saw one of them here. The others must've gone into the other worlds." The shard circled Kohaku once before turning into energy, infusing itself into Kohaku's coin with a white flash.

Soul Shards Collected: 1/8

Kohaku stared at his coin. "Wonder what happens when we find all 8."

"Only one way to find out!" Kukiran replied. "But that battle was amazing! Way to go! You completed World 1!"

"Ha, thanks, Kukiran." Kohaku said with a smile... only to realize that he wasn't using his Gamepad. "Wait." He looked back at Kukiran, who seemed to tilt her "head" in confusion. "Y-You're actually talking to me! A-and I can hear you, and you me!"

The fairy did a backflip in mid-air. "Well, you've managed to connect yourself to this world now." She told him. "And that card you have, Alpha Pixie? It's based on me." She flew around Kohaku's head. "Think of it as me giving you a little bit of an edge for the future."

"No kidding. So, what exactly is all this, then? Am I really some powerful... thing?"

"I don't really know much about the Alphomega legend... All I know is that I'm here to guide anyone through here."

Kohaku sighed. "Well, I guess that would have been too easy." He then looked back at the fairy with a smile. "I look forward to any help you can give me, Kukiran, because I get the feeling life is going to be a lot crazier from now on."

"Heheh. Count on it." Kukiran replied. She then noticed a strange portal open up in the sky above the castle, flying near it. "Oh! That must be a portal to the next world." She looked back at Kohaku. "I guess I'll see you there once you solve the next riddle! Bye-bye!" With that, she flew up and through the portal, which closed behind her, and as it did, the AR field finally receded from the field, returning them all to the park.

As the fairy vanished through the portal, the scene was being watched through a pair of binoculars by a figure wearing a cloak. "So, he's the current one, eh...?" The figure said, putting down the binoculars before pulling out a notepad, jotting down a few notes while adjusting the blue mask covering his face. "I have a lot of research to do..."

Kohaku couldn't bring himself to say anything. All he could do was smile while looking at where the portal used to be, his friends gathered around him. Noticing this, he turned to them, their faces having a mix of happiness and surprise. "Koha-kun..." Doc started to say, only to quickly be cut off.

"That was awesome!" Plata cried, a wide grin on her face.

"How did you do that?" Yoru asked.

"What was it like in there?" Sumiko added.

"Where'd you get that card?" Ginju stacked on another question. Eventually everyone other than Dizzy, Ichika, Yuichi, and Nazoko were talking over each other, bombarding Kohaku with questions that he was having trouble answering.

Dizzy looked at his own Silver Coin, which gleamed in the remaining light. 'Looks like me and Koha-kun are in for a long haul.' He thought to himself.

"Yudin... You're something else." Yuichi mused under his breath.

"Sumiko!" A voice cried out. The girl looked over to see Aya rushing toward her.

"Relax, Aya, I'm fine!" She replied as her sister stopped to catch her breath.

The older girl looked her over, noting no real injury, and she let out a breath. "Thank goodness. I saw the feed cut out and I didn't know what else to do."

Sumiko just smiled. "No worries. Yudin-san took care of everything." She pointed to Kohaku with her thumb, who was still being swamped with questions.

"ONII-CHAN!/KOHAKU-NII!"

Two small voices broke the stream of questions. Out of nowhere, Kohaku was suddenly tackled to the ground. "Whaa-OOF!" He groaned, looking to see that he was being tightly hugged by his little brother and sister. The two looked at him, their faces showing a mix of worry and relief. "Kinoko, Sokudo? Where did-" He cut himself off when he looked up, seeing his parents running up to him, Sankako carrying Hakaimo. "Tou-san, Kaa-san!"

"Are you alright, Kohaku?" Tamago asked.

"The twins were so worried about you when the feed went dead, they practically dragged us here." Sankako added. "What's going on?"

Kohaku looked around at everyone, noticing that Nazoko was already walking away, yet she gave him a mean glance as she did. The boy felt his voice start to fail him. What was he supposed to say? His friends watched as he sighed and said the only thing he could. "Whatever is going on... I can tell that it took our lives clear out of normal territory."

As if to agree, his gold coin gave a single gleam.

RK777: And so now the Alphomega legend begins anew.

Vile: To think it took me this long to finally introduce the central plot. *points to the story's start date* I'm surprised I still have people reading this.

RK777: If you write it, they will come. Hopefully I can get my audience back once I start writing again. MEantime, shall we open the present these people have been waiting for?

Vile: Sounds like a plan to me.

RK777 *holds up a box with "100" all over it* We will now reveal the coming of story 100 for Vile.

Vile: *opens the box and slowly pulls out a piece of paper with a familiar-fonted "64" on it* Coming at the start of 2019, it's Numbershot 64! But it's no ordinary Numbershot, oh no. *pulls out a paper with GSTART's logo* This Numbershot relates back to GSTART, making it a transition back to where I came from!

RK777: So, now you see why we put so much focus on GSTART lately. We needed to show off the main plot for 64 to make sense without spoilers.

Vile: And now that we've got the plot all set, the transition back to ZEXAL can begin. I'll start it in 2019, so stay tuned until then. If you guys liked this chapter, leave a review for me! Ja ne for now, and Merry Christmas, everyone!

Computer Voice: Vile, logging out.
