*Back to Svana*
I landed and looked around. It was night and the stars from my dream shinned above me. "Roam" I command this released Pitch back to his animal form with armor on being three times bigger then his normal size back in our realm. Spotting the glow of the lights in the distance. "Svered [1]" I call out to Pitch who snorts before going sword mode. Gripping the handle I rose the point to the now thunder filled sky with clouds who were weeping. In a flash I was flying through the sky a ability I have only at night.
I land again this time standing upon the highest point of a crane lift that held up a crows nest with a mortal man wielding a bow. The man looked ready to fire but a muffled sound from his chest made him unequipped the weapon. When he turned around he froze seeing me. For a moment we just watched each other both waiting for an attack. I cleared my throat from the thick of awkwardness hanging in the air. He didn't even flinch. "May I ask you something, mortal?" I ask giving a small smile at him. "Uh...sure" he replied with a almost husky voice it being fitting with the way he looked. "If a mortal shall fall from your height will it kill them?" I asked his face tightened into a strick frown as he whipped out his bow. A large shadow hand shoots from my hand and it gripped his head knocking him out of the nest and to the muddy ground below. The man layed on his back looking up to me and groaned. "Thanks for answering my question" I whisper yell down to him earning another groan.
Suddenly Thor's cry rings out just like in my dream. I jumped from the crane to the ground but didn't land again. This time I turned into a dark mist like form and hide in a passing gaurds shadow. Now I watched the group of gaurds I was hiding within drag my brother away. Why didn't he grab his weapon? Should I kill these mortals? As the protector would Thor be mad if I do? All these thoughts in my head instead I calmed down and and switch into Thor's shadow taking the stealthy way.
Day light has came making it a bit harder to hide but I am the Goddess of Shadows after all. Hiding within Thor's shadow was easy. Sitting and listening to the mortal's questioning was another. Thor was in a weaken state not to mention his more mortal body didn't make it easier. "In my experience, it takes someone who's received similar training to do it to them. How about you tell me where you received this training. Pakistan? Chechnya? Afghanistan?" The man asked then paused.
"Why was this man speaking nonsense? Huh...what brother did is near child's play for us" I thought biting my tongue to silence myself. "No, you strike me more as the soldier of fortune type. Where was it? South Africa? Certain groups pay very well for a good mercenary like you. Who are you? One way or another we'll find out what we need to know. We're good at that." The agent asked but Thor seemed to be in a frozen state of mind. He blinked back to reality as the mans pocket started to beep.
"Don't go anywhere." The mortal man spoke after looking at whatever it was that made that beeping before stepping out of the white room with mirror doors. Once the doors shut Loki in a black suit showed up. "Loki?" Thor asks shocked to see brother as was I. "What are you doing here?" Thor asks a look of worry taking over his shocked expression. "I had to see you-" Loki started but Thor cuts him off "What's happened? Tell me? Is it Jotunheim? Let me explain to father-". This time Loki cuts him off "Father is dead.".
"What?" I piped in forming out of Thor's shadow up until my waist. Wrapping an arm around the back of the chair brother is sitting in and griped onto his forearm with the other. They both look at me with surprise, Loki less then Thor. My eyes bore into Loki's begging for him to show signs that he was lieing but why would he even lie about something like that. Thor had the same look as I did staring at Loki as well. He reached over with his free hand and rest it on my hand that griped onto his arm rubbing softly.
Loki: I watched Thor with slight joy to see that hurtful look on this normally smug face. Then Svana appeared from his shadow. I was hoping I got to him before her. Now I found myself facing her with that hurt I was just happy about. I never meant for her to hear this. I should of known better. I wished I could of broke character. To let her know it was a stupid lie. To hold her before she cries again. To stop my heart from breaking along with her but I can't. Not with HIM here but that ache soon turned to anger when he reached over and touched her to comfort her hurt.'
"Your banishment. The threat of a new war. It was too much for him to bear...You mustn't blame yourself." Loki paused and looked only at brother easy to see he blamed Thor for all this but I couldn't. Not the blame I couldn't bear to hear any of this but I couldn't look away from him. I needed to hear he was just playing a cruel joke or something. "I know that you loved him. I tried to tell him so, but he wouldn't listen. So cruel to put the hammer within your reach, knowing that you could never lift it." He spoke again with a slight sigh looking to me for a moment not wanting to linger.
"The burden of the throne has fallen to me now." He spoke straightening himself up. "Then can Thor come home, brother?" I ask from my long silence this made Thor look to me then back to Loki with small hope. "The truce with Jotunheim is conditional upon his exile." He said now looking me in the eyes he tilt his head back some. "Yes, but... couldn't we find a way to-" "Your mother, has forbidden your return. This is goodbye, brother. I'm so sorry." Loki cut me off before looking to Thor.
"No. I am sorry. Thank you both for coming here." Brother replied letting my hand go and stared to the ground with sower in his eyes. Loki turned to disappear but stopped turning half way back looking to me. He reached a hand out to me "Come along Svana" he calls for me to join him. I only focused on Thor "I'm going to stay here with Thor until I know for sure he's safe in this realm" I spoke but won't look to him. "Svana go. Loki is king now you have to go with what he says" Thor said softly pushing for me to go with him.
I sigh forming all the way out of the shadow. Now standing I lean over and huged Thor whispering my goodbyes to him. Straighting up I walk to Loki who still holds his hand to me. I look at it for a moment wondering why I needed to hold his hand. Taking it he intertwine our figures giving my hand a squeeze. It feels odd to hold my brother's hand like this. What felt wierder was he pulled me in front on him and to facing up at him sences I'm shorter. He had a small smile as he rested his other hand on my hip. "Farewell." Brother said before we disappear.
