It's been a rough two days for me and I just need some Cassie/Jaime shenanigans on my dash.

"Uhhh…Cassie? You there?" Jaime whisper-yelled up to the partially open window.

Several seconds passed before Cassie poked her head out, blond ringlets falling out of a semi-messy updo. "Yeah! Just give me a minute to find my purse and we can leave," she whisper-yelled back, leaving then returning a moment later with the aforementioned clutch dangling around her wrist.

"Why did I have to meet you under the window?" The older teen inquired as Cassie slid the window as wide as it would go.

"So she doesn't see us," Cassie replied, sticking one leg out before readjusting the tule poking out from her dress.

"Doesn't your mom already know you going to prom with me?" he inquired, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"Yes–OOMF! But she…is gonna wanna take…photos," the blonde replied in between clambering out the window in the most undignified way Jaime had ever seen. "So we're gonna sneak out."

"Cass, why didn't you just fly out?"

Wonder Girl had successfully managed to get both legs out the window and was leaning over the railing clinging to the sides for dear life. "Mom took away my powers," she wheezed, trying to find a good foothold against the exterior brick townhouse.

"She can do that?"

"Can we…not talk about that…right now?" she paused between breaths, still attempting to find a solid foothold that would allow her to drop from the second floor down safely without messing up her hair and dress.

"Hey Cass," Jaime began, gaze drawn to the front porch and not at his girlfriend failing at breaking and leaving.

"Unless you're about to suggest a better way to get down," Cassie paused and turned to face him, "I don't wanna hear it."

Jaime grinned sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck before saying, "Why don't you just jump? I'll catch you."

The blonde narrowed her blue eyes at him, glancing at each arm before suspiciously whisper-yelling, "Are you SURE you'll be able to catch me?"

"Oh ye of little faith," he whispered back, walking until he was directly beneath her. "Jump Cass. I've gotcha."

There were two faint thuds as her high heels made contact with the brick, knees bent and ready to push off. One deep inhale later, Cassie found herself free falling straight into Jaime's outstretched arms. They gave way slightly, but he quickly pulled her in and spun her in a circle as her arms twined around his neck. She never even noticed the series of flashes go off until Jaime slowed down and the bright lights from the porch didn't.

"OH THAT WAS TOO ADORABLE!" Her mother cooed, taking snapshot after snapshot of the duo as Jaime gently set her down.

"MOM!" Cassie whined. "Stop! This is getting embarrassing."

"Good," her mother retorted before flashing Jaime a dazzling smile. "Jaime, be a dear and get Cassie to pose for a few more pictures for her mother."

"Traitor," Cassie mumbled under her breath, allowing her boyfriend to snake an arm around her waist.

"Hey, I tried to warn you, bonita," he murmured back. "Smile for the camera."

"I swear you're gonna dance every last dance with me for this," she informed him through gritted teeth, waiting for the next flash to go off.

She had no time to think before she was swept into his arms then up above his head, spinning through the cool spring air with her knee-length dress fluttering with the breeze.

An honest, small smile tugged her lips, less evil than the smirk across his face when he brought her down close. "Careful, Cass. That sounded like a threat."

She leaned in close for one more cheesy pose for her mother. "More like…a promise," she grinned, hand sliding down to his fingers and tugging him toward their next adventure.
