Summary: Dark and romantic, like a Greek tragedy. Soubi won't live without Ritsuka.

One night Ritsuka called. Hoarsely the only words he said were "I can't do this anymore. This is the end for me. Goodbye Soubi." A moment later came the low continuous tone indicating his sacrifice hung up.
Agatsuma Soubi was fully aware no matter how fast he ran there was no way he could get there in time. He knew instantly what Ritsuka planned from the tone of his voice, his words only verified it.
"I cannot live without you Ritsuka…" he spoke, velvet voice unspoiled.
"And I won't." Throwing the cigarette from his lips to the floor, he observed for a moment how one small spark could set everything around it ablaze.
Ritsuka was his spark. His world was lit with fiery passion and love for the boy. Days and nights brightened with just the thought of his sweet voice.
As crackling flames flew across the carpet and reached his mattress, he stood and grabbed a knife from the bedside table. With a jagged edge, it was not the most elegant blade, but would serve its purpose. The foul stench of burning soon filled his senses.
He felt that Ritsuka remained alive, but knew his time was short.
For the sake of savoring their last moments, he grabbed his cell phone, quickly typed and then pressed "send".
Standing with an even blade in hand, Ritsuka read the text message: "I love you." For the sake of what life they had together, he typed a reply.
In moments, his response appeared on the screen: "I love you". Soubi nodded, it was time.
Ritsuka held the blade to his throat.
Removing the bandage, Soubi brought the blade to his bare neck.
Reaching out at the same moment, they grasped a vision of the other's hand. As the clock struck 12:31am, metal teeth tore into flesh and spilt blood.
