I have seemed to have lost interest in this story for the time being, but I update at some point (probably in the summer). I am sorry, and I hope that it doesn't make you biased against my new story about the Night World.
Am I the only one who has ever wondered why the Night World wasn't made into a series when the Vampire Diaries and the Secret Circle (before being canceled)? After thinking about it, I realized why: There are nine separate stories, and they all take place in different parts of the country.
Well, I have spent a lot of my time trying to find a way to combine them, trying to keep the characters right and their stories somewhat similar to that in the book.
I ended up creating a new town/city kind of place called Witch Wood, Oregon (I work better with fictional settings; more freedom and less research. So in Witch Wood (a town created during to burning times where all witches ran to; note that it wasn't named Witch Wood until much later in history), there are three different sections: Circle Daybreak on the far North East of Witch Wood, and Circle Midnight on the far South West of Witch Wood. In the center is Circle Twilight, which is where pretty much everyone in between CM and CD live (including the humans). In CT territory no Night World being can harm a human (kill them) and CT members can help both sides, and can not divulge secrets from either side to their respective counter parts.
So yeah, I created a series out of the Night World.
Thea and Blaise Harman move to Witch Wood, Oregon after being expelled from their last school in Virginia, and go to live with their aunt Opal Burdock. Mrs. B has taken in their cousins already to give them a chance to start over, and this is the Harman relatives last chance to be normal; if this doesn't work out then they suffer the consequences.
In Witch Wood they meet familiar faces, along with some new ones. Friendships are discovered as old bonds are broken, and the Soulmate Principle rises, making everything more hard then necessary.
This is the basic summary, of the first season. There will be more characters factored in, but logically it was easier to start with Thea and Blaise (there may be some screw ups with the, because I am not too fond of their story. I would have liked to instead skip over them entirely, but as I said, it was easier to start with them). I will give you a SPOILER:
Mary-Lynnette, Jeremy, Poppy, James, Claire, and Ivan will get some parts in the first season. There are a few surprise characters coming in also, but I will let that be a surprise. And no, Ash will ne be in this season, it was too hectic with him there as well. He will be added in on another season. I actually had a lot of fun writing the seasons, and I will give you the first two chapters freely on December 15, 2013. After that, you will have to wait until every Sunday to get the next chapter (so that it seems series like, and gives me time type it up and also get my homework done).
Thank for reading this far, and I promise to come back and finish this story. To all of the fans of this story, I hope that you will check out my Might World Series on Dec 15. Note that I would have liked to make it based around Mary-Lynnette and Ash, but unraveling their story was way more fun than just pushing the two of them together.
