Many different emotions flooded Inuyasha's small body as he stealthily moved through the museum. He was anxious, yet excited; concerned, yet curious.

Would he find who he thought he was going to find? Would they be alive?

His sensitive nose pulled him forward through the small crowds of people, leading him to the back of the building. It didn't matter to him either way; nothing would stop him from getting some answers.

Kagome, her mother, and their group were doing a great job of moving through the museum in a timely manner. The young teens were involved with the museum's small activities and paid attention when Mrs. Higurashi read aloud to them about different pieces of history.

So far, the trip was going very, VERY well.

"Mama, mama! Are we going to the art now?" Kagome had been waiting patiently the entire time, but she was beginning to get impatient.

Mrs. Higurashi noticed this and stopped the group. "I don't see why not." She said, looking up to check the signs so she could change their direction.

"Mrs. Kagome's mom…"

Upon hearing a young voice address her, Mrs. Higurashi's kind eyes turned back to the middle-schoolers. "Yes?"

Ayumi, one of Kagome's good friends, timidly stepped forward, her arms clasped in front of her in a guilty fashion. "My inhaler…" She said quietly.

Mrs. Higurashi was confused, but smiled softly at her daughter's friend. "What's wrong, Ayumi?"

"I lost my inhaler…" The young girl didn't look up from the ground.

Before Mrs. Higurashi could say anything to console the girl, Kagome spoke up, "Where is the last place you remember having it?"

Ayumi's face reddened. "When we first came in... I think I dropped it near in the mummy's hand."

"That's alright, Ayumi. We can-"

"Mama, I can go look really quick. It'll be fast if it's just me!" Kagome spoke up again, this time in excitement. She didn't want the group to have to circle back around and waste time. Plus, if she went back, she could have another look at the old samurai arm.

Mrs. Higurashi hesitated. She really didn't want to let her daughter run off alone, even in a nice museum with security. "Honey…"

"Mama, I'll be really fast! It's right there!" Kagome pointed to a hallway a few yards behind them.

Concerned she was causing too much of a problem, Ayumi looked from her chaperon to her friend. "I can go…" she said, but Mrs. Higurashi laid a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"Okay, Kagome..." Kagome's mother sported a worried expression, but agreed anyway. "We're all going to wait right here. Just go take a quick look."

"Okay!"

The steady roar of rain slowly filled the museum making Inuyasha's ears twitch under his small, blue hat. He rolled his eyes.

Juuust what he needed right now... Noise. He seriously could've done without a heavy rain creating a sound similar to static as it pounded the top of the museum.

What's was the museum's roof made out of anyway? He scowled.

Trying his best to ignore it, Inuyaha continued following his nose until he reached a small, fairly-new exhibit. When he entered the room, the stench he was tracking became so strong, it clogged his throat.

'Oh, great...' He cautiously stepped forward into the light of round room, his senses on high alert. 'He's really here.'

Well... Part of him was.

In a glass enclosed case, sat a shriveled arm. Inuyasha looked down as his tiny kid body and then back up at the wrinkled limb. He knew that there was a chance that that arm could literally come to life; it had happened before, it could happen again.

Should he approach it?

What if...?

Suddenly a young girl rushed by him, nearly toppling him over as she went.
