Fred woke up confused. He rubbed his eyes and sat up carefully. He had a weird feeling, and he couldn't remember how he had gotten there.

Suddenly, memories of the war flashed in his mind. He looked around panicked. Georgie! He thought. Where's my brother?!

He stood up looking around until a soft voice called him from behind his back. "Fred? Calm down, its okay. You are okay."

He turned around to face the unknown voice to find a woman he had never seen before, she had long dark red hair falling down her back, and she was wearing a soft green dress that matched her green eyes.

"Who are you?" Fred asked cautiously. He didn't know her, but there was something about her that seemed familiar somehow… "It's weird… My brother's best friend has the same eyes you have."

She smiled gently and nodded, "Yes Fred, I am Lily Potter, Harry's mother."

Fred was shocked. Was he dreaming? It couldn't be… Harry's mother? Harry's parents were…

"Oh… I-" he swallowed. "I died?" he barely whispered. Well, that would explain the weird feeling he had. When he was alive he used to feel a heart beating inside him. Not anymore. Neither he felt pain at all.

Lily smiled sadly and nodded. "Very bravely, I must add." She said, reassuringly. But that didn't keep Fred from shivering.

"And my family? They are okay, right?" he whispered, dreading the answer.

"They are safe, Fred. All of them. The war is over. Everything is going to be okay."

Fred nodded, feeling a little weight off his shoulders. "So, what now? What do I do? Where do I go?"

Lily gestured towards a door that Fred hadn't noticed before, we go over there. We'll find a good place for you to stay."

Fred nodded and walked to Lily. "Thank you, Mrs. Potter."

She smiled shaking her head. "Oh, please don't thank me. It's my pleasure."

Lily guided Fred towards the door and they walked past it to enter a small village, or that's what Fred thought. Some people were outside and they smiled to him. He didn't recognize many of them, but some seemed to be vaguely familiar. Lily guided him until they reached a Small house; she smiled to Fred and opened the door to find people he indeed knew.

Remus, Tonks and Sirius they all smiled at him kindly. Along with this man that even when Fred had never seen before he recognized him immediately, James Potter.

"Welcome Fred!" Tonks said with her cheerful voice and Fred couldn't help it but smile.

"Hey Tonks."

"Congratulations man, you did very well." James said, Lily was now beside him, his arm around her waist.

"Congratulations?" He asked curiously.

"Well, not to mention you battled Bellatrix. You also found out how to use the Marauder's Map, and your pranks were almost as good as ours." Sirius said, winking at him.

Fred smiled, "Well, my brother helped too."

Lupin smiled kindly at him, and Lily said. "We'd like you to stay with us. We can take care of you, and I think James wanted to propose something to you."

James smiled at his wife and then walked to Fred. "The marauders is a team of four, we seem to be missing one. You'd like to join?" Fred smiled shocked and nodded.

Sirius and Lupin walked to him and patted him in the back. "Well done man!" They laughed and said something about pranking someone before they all disappeared outside the door, leaving Tonks and Lily alone.

Lily smiled to Tonks, "Do you mind helping me with dinner?" Tonks shook her head and smiled as they both walked to the kitchen.

"Lily can I ask you something?"

"Sure, Tonks."

"When you found out Fred had died you were the first one to volunteer to host him. Why is that? You didn't even know the kid." She asked softly, not wanting to hurt her friend's feelings.

But Lily wasn't hurt she just smiled. "I just kind of owed Molly one. She has been taking care of my boy 7 years, and I will take care of hers."
