Ahahahaha... how long has it been. My laptop broke, forgive me ;A;
Ah, and also, the cover image was made by my sister, Yukino109, check her artworks/fics out on deviantart!

When I was a kid, I always play hide and seek in our home. It's very spacious and has a lot of places to hide in. That's why it's façade was burned in my mind. That's why…
"Why…" I whispered, trembling.
"Saki, what's wrong?" I heard Ib's small voice beside me. But it just didn't register in my mind to reply.
"It's…it's like our house. Rather… the west wing of our house. Why is it like this?"
As if a movie started to play, I saw silhouettes of 2 kids, a boy and a girl, running around the room, playing chase. "Ma-! Slow down! Why are you so fast?" I heard a voice of a young girl followed by a giggle of a young boy. "Of course I am! I don't want to be it!" He was laughing as his playmate and him run around. "Too slow, Misa!"
In a blink of an eye, all of that vanished. All that's left was crimson eyes filled with worried. Since when have I been sitting on the floor? "…Ib?"
Ib looked so close to tears, her lips were trembling. "Don't…" She whispered. "Don't leave me alone, Saki…"
I don't know what happened. But it seems to me that I was unresponsive for a certain amount of time and it made Ib panic. "I…What happened…?"
I pulled her close to me as she whimpered. "Y-you were just standing there. I-it was like you were a statue! And then you suddenly fell down… I-I didn't know what to do."
Ah, she must've been so worried. "I-I'm sorry Ib. I didn't know what happened. I just…" I shook my head. "N-never mind." I stood up, taking a deep breath and smiled. "I'm fine now. We need to investigate this room. We need to get out." I said, reminding her and I of our goal. It was mostly a reminder for me. I have no time to reminisce nor do I have time for blackouts.
She looks doubtful. I fished out my handkerchief to wipe her tears. "Come on. We have to go." I gave her a reassuring eyes. "It gives me the creeps, staying here."
Ib nodded slowly. "Okay… thank you for the handkerchief…"
I don't know how it came to this. How did she convince me that splitting up was a good thing? I smacked myself. "Come on, Misaki. Get your stuff together. The sooner it is done, the sooner you can get back to Ib."
The Liar's Room. It was obvious that there is a single truth. The different color wearing people in the portraits were captioned with stuff. Most of them were saying 'Stand in front of the statue and the yada yada yada.' "Ahh! It's obvious that only one is saying the truth!" I exclaimed, frustrated.
In the end, I decided to put my faith in the Brown guy. Well because it's the only one without someone agreeing to it! On to the next room, I took a deep breath. Somehow, I got the feeling that one wrong step, I'll lose another petal.
I reached the tile the brown one was talking about. With a trembling hand, I reached the tile. Okay… here goes… In one swift movement, I pulled on it. I opened my eyes a few moments later, there was a number in the back of the tile, a purple number four. I memorized it, feeling it's importance for later.
The stabbing and slashing sound from the previous room startled me. The Liars… they killed the one who spoke the truth. I ran from the room, the dripping sound was still resounding on my ears. I kept running until I tripped on something. The doll that was previously hanging from the ceiling was lying on the floor.
"Saki?"
I jumped. Then I told myself to relax. It was only Ib…it was only Ib. I kept reassuring myself. I took a deep breath. "H-hi, Ib. How's your search?"
Ib blinked. "I found a pink number nine and a green number eighteen, the corridor over there has those black hands, the door there is asking a math question, the lips down the corner bites people and Saki, who ran and tripped on a doll?"
I cringed as I felt an imaginary arrow stabbed me. Great job on being an adult, Saki. Geez. "Eh… sorry about that?"
"Mom says you need to look carefully where you are going, Saki." Ib said with a cute pout.
"A-anyway, you said something bit you? Are you okay? Show me your rose!" I said with concern. Her rose has three petals left. I felt guilty. I shouldn't have left her alone. "Are you okay? Are you hurting? Holy cow, I shouldn't have-"
"Saki, I'm okay, it doesn't hurt that bad…" She gave me a reassuring smile. I didn't believe that one bit.
"If you say so," I said despite myself. "We'll just have to find a vase quick…"
It was a good thing I can do mental math quickly. Green X multiplied by pink X then added by purple X. I felt a slight sense of triumph when the door opened. The wooden apple fell from the tree. Common sense, we took it.
While we were walking, I noticed something. We weren't getting hungry. It's been a few hours since we were trapped in here. I haven't eaten since I arrived in the gallery which is around lunch. I should be hungry right now. Strange.
"Ib, are you hungry?" I told her.
"I am." Well someone else answered me. The lips on the wall. I glared at it lightly. I was about to respond when it said. "That food…give it to me…"
Ib gave it the wooden apple before I could stop her. "I'm not hungry at all, Saki…" She answered.
Definitely weird. Passing through that mouth was weirder. The paintings of a guillotine going down is weirderer and scarier. A feeling of foreboding stopped me from going down the stairs.
BANG
I really hope I can survive this gallery. Being in a red red room is slowly draining my sanity. Is that a shadow that passed?!
Thank god I am not alone.
Next up, the crawling creepies and spider heads
