"Hey Korra." Asami entered Korra's room on Air Temple Island.
"What's up?" Korra asked.
"I wanted to talk to you," The heiress paused. "About Mako."
"What about him?" The avatar's voice took on a suspicious tone.
"Well…" Asami faltered. "It's just that he broke my heart pretty badly. He never even really broke up with me before he started dating you."
"Look, Asami, I'm really sorry you two didn't work out. But Mako loves me, he told me so."
"He told me that, too." Her voice filled with regret. "But they were just words. Whenever you were around he only paid attention to you. And when you weren't there, you were all he could talk about."
"I told you, he loves me."
"I thought he loved me too. I'm just saying that you might not want to put your whole heart into this relationship yet. You might wake up to find he's that fallen for someone new."
"He never- He would never do that to me! He never did anything to you, you're just jealous!"
"I know you kissed. Bolin told me. And I know that you two were already together when he broke up with me. Korra, I want you to make sure you can trust him. I just don't want to see you get hurt."
"You just want Mako back so you're trying to destroy what we have!"
"I wouldn't take Mako back if he came crawling."
"I don't believe you!"
"You don't have to. Just think about what I said. Good bye." The young heiress gracefully took her leave, satisfied that she had warned Korra, even though she wouldn't listen. All she could do now was hope something had gotten through to her.

"Korra, what's up? You weren't at practice this morning." The concerned firebender asked his girlfriend.
"Oh, I forgot." Korra was sitting on the steps at the front of Air Temple Island. Mako sat down beside her.
"Forgot?" He asked.
"Asami came and talked to me." Korra confessed.
"Oh, what did she say?"
"Just some stuff about how I shouldn't trust you with my heart. I think she's just jealous."
"Why doesn't she think you can trust me?"
"She said you'll treat me like you treated her. She said you'd break my heart."
"I wasn't bad to Asami; I just got distracted by you." He smiled halfheartedly.
"I know that, but she seems to think some other girl will come around and distract you from me. Can you promise that won't happen?"
"Of course! Like you said, Asami's just jealous."
"Yeah… but the more I think about it the more I feel like she was never really jealous at all. I'm just nervous; I don't want to get my heart broken."
"I won't break your heart. I swear." He smiled at her, and she smiled back.
"Alright, but if you treat me like you treated her we are over, you hear me?"
"Crystal clear. I'll see you at practice tomorrow."
"Seeya." Korra stood and walked back to the temple. Mako put his elbows on his knees and his face in his hands.
"Shit."
