Chapter 14

As the rest of the Band the other two couples also enjoyed their time off, by going on a double date into the cinema which had been a spontaneous idea by Stella and the three other people present in the room at that time didn't hesitate to agree with this suggestion. After having bought their tickets for the movie, Stella, Charlie, Mo and Scott were now all buying their popcorn, as they all agreed on one thing: You had to get yourself some popcorn when you were going to watch a movie at the cinema, because that was kind of an unwritten law for the four. Meanwhile at Dante's Olivia and Wen were taking their time eating their ice cream, Wen being a lot more relaxed since he now could be sure that his father was going to pull through after he had finally woken up out of his long coma and the Lemonade Mouth Leadsinger was glad to see that change happening.

Of course the Band did something together most of the time, as they did develop a very deep connection with each other since they had formed Lemonade Mouth but the rest of the band members were alright with giving Olivia & Wen some time to themselves especially under those current circumstances. „So do you have any ideas what you want to do tonight after having dinner with the rest of the Band here at Dante's?" Olivia asked in between eating the delicious tasting scoops of strawberry & vanilla ice cream, slowly letting each bite of it melt in her mouth instead of just quickly eating it away.

„Maybe we could huddle together on the couch at my place, watching a movie of your choice from my large DVD Collection." Wen replied and hoped that she would say, because even if it was great to spend as much time as possible with the rest of the band, he loved it even more when it was just the two of them.

Back at the cinema the rest of Lemonade Mouth watched the movie „Bridget Jones Baby" together and of course all of them were sitting in the same row with the two couples having the luck of sitting right next to each other. „It's so good to know that Mister Gifford is going to pull through, after all the drama that Wen and Sydney had been through." Charlie said to Stella as the commercials were playing on the big screen at this very moment and took some popcorn out of the big paper bowl that rested on his lap.

„But it's going to take some time for him to make a full recovery and I'm sure that speak for the rest of the Band that it's a good idea to postpone the next leg of the tour till Wen's father is completely fine again." Stella said in a loud enough voice so also Charlie, Mo and Scott could hear it but nobody else would be able to listen into their private conversation. Charlie, Scott and Mo nodded in conformation before Mo said:

„We have to notify Greg of the current situation too, so that he can manage everything that needs to be taken care off at this point and I know that most of our fans will understand the reason behind our decision."

„Let's continue to discuss all of this with Olivia and Wen at dinner tonight at Dante's, as the movie is starting soon." Scott said right before the last trailer had just ended and the rest of the lightning in the room went dark. Mo, Stella and Charlie just nodded in agreement instead of saying anything in response and then the four gave the movie their full attention. Meanwhile back the hospital Sydney sat by the bedside of her husband's hospital bed and said with a big grin on her face:

„Don't worry darlin as soon as your are back at home I will spoil you with my wonderful cooking again, so even it is hard to eat this disgusting hospital food, I promise you that all the wait till the day you will be out of here will be worth it in the end."

Mister Gifford smiled a little at his wife, very glad about the fact that she had been able to cheer up again like always and that was definitely one of the many reasons why he loved her so much. After he had taken one short sip of his water, which Sydney had helped him get from his nightstand he said:

„I wished that it would have been under better circumstances but I'm glad that you and Wen are starting to grow closer and this was something that I had wished to happen for so long." Sydney smiled at that, as she was glad too that the relationship between her and Wen was starting to get better for quite a while now and that meant that they could finally start to be a happy family.

„So, does the doctor have any prognosis on when you are going to be released out of the hospital?" Sydney asked and even if she was aware of the fact that it wasn't a good idea to rush anything, she missed him so much at home and since Wen wasn't at home so much because he was always doing so much with his friends it was somtimes very lonely at home when she didn't meet with her friends. Of course he also wanted to be back at home as soon as possible, but he also wasn't the kind of person who wanted to risk anything so he wouldn't release himself out oft he hospital at his own risk. Even if it probably would still take some time till he would be back home again, he would be waiting for what the doctor would say.

„Doctor Andrews said that the last test results looked good but it's still too early to give any prognosis concerning my release out of the hospital."
