"Is the tracking system working?", asked Paul.

"Yes father.", one of the young friars responded. "Southampton, Reading and Bristol are receiving the signal strong enough for a trace. They are currently next to the Grovely anomaly."

"That is probably the manor.", said Piotr. "Do we have a map of the anomaly boundary?"

"Yes father. The anomaly covers about four square kilometers. It's roughly a circle. The diameter is, 2.25 kilometers."

"That is a lot of ground to cover Paul.", said Piotr. "Do we have any other intelligence on the anomaly? How did we map it? Can we get a clear visual?"

"The area was mapped using standard radio beacon hexagonal grid, ten meter resolution at the boundary, two-fifty at the most distant point. All radio beacons inside the anomaly were lost at slightly over four hundred fifty-seven meters above ground. Aerial images of the area are inconclusive. There is nothing on the images except forests, fields and grass, but the images are different on each flyover."

"Should we send a team to take a look?", asked Piotr.

"Finally, some progress.", thought Paul. "If Piotr can keep his mind in this state for just a little longer.". Having long learned to think one thing and say another, Paul said: "Yes, we should send a reconnaissance team. Send three undercover teams, land based. One team should try to get a visual on the anomaly, two teams provide cover. Take some time and speak to the locals as well, they will probably have stories about the place. One of the teams should try to visit the local post office and see if the manor has an address, and any other local office that might have records of the manor."

As soon as he finished speaking, three young deacons nodded and left the room. From their location it would take at least four hours for the teams to reach the anomaly.

"Father.", the young friar was suddenly alert. "The tracking shifted. They are back in the safe house."

"Good. Have Radebe take them back to the base. It's time to see how good our newest recruits are with strategy.". As an afterthought he added: "Oh and Piotr, tell them to send the elf somewhere safe. We might need him again. Let's meet in the briefing room as soon as they are back."

Paul exited the control room and slowly made his way to the briefing room. The trio would be coming in about an hour so he had just enough time for a prayer and some meditation. This was going to be a dangerous plan, he had to be completely focused to avoid unnecessary casualties. He knew that this was also the time to make the final choice. If they attack the Manor, they will make their presence known and he will have to deal with the wizards and more importantly, Piotr. It was quite obvious to him that the man has reached his limit and will be challenging him soon. He will have to be extra careful around him. Paul expected Piotr to stab him in the back, but didn't want it to happen too literally. He was praying in the briefing room when the Trio entered.

"Welcome back. How was your meeting?"

Harry and Ron looked at Hermione. They discussed who should tell their report on their way back. Ron wanted Harry to do the talking, because Harry was their leader and they followed him on this quest for more than a year now. Hermione wanted to do the talking because she had more experience talking to the Inquisition and they trusted her more. Harry didn't particularly want to talk, but he was definitely sure he didn't want Hermione to talk because he could already see the Inquisition changing her. In the end, they settled on Harry, albeit reluctantly.

"It went well.", said Harry. "We talked to Dobby and he gave us a lot of information. We know where the Manor is and have some idea on the defences. We even have a rough map of the interior, here.". Harry placed the map Dobby provided them with on the table. The priest looked at the map. It was reasonably detailed, although missing any size indicators. There were also large red markings on some of the rooms.

"What are these crosses?", asked Paul.

"These are the rooms Dobby says are warded with traps. We should check these last because some of them contain wards designed to prevent even Malfoys to enter. Seems like trust doesn't run too deep in the Malfoy family.", Harry provided the answer. "There is one other thing. The property itself is warded against muggles and the Manor is warded agains anyone not explicitly invited by the Malfoys. Among other wards."

"I see. Is there a way for you to break these wards or can we somehow bypass them?", asked Paul.

Two voiced answered at the same time, giving completely opposite answers. Both Harry and Ron looked at Hermione in amazement. They knew she was a clever witch but even she could not break through generations of Malfoy wards, or could she?

"Honestly Harry, it's simple. We don't have to break the wards ourselves, our friends at the Ministry did that for us!", Hermione explained.

Harry and Ron were still confused but father Paul quickly caught up. "Ah, yes. Do you think that would work? Are the wards similar to what you used?"

"Hermione! Could you please explain what are you talking about!", asked Ron.

"It's so simple Ron! We had muggle repelling wards on our tent, along with quite a few other wards, and the Snatchers still managed to attack us! So the way to deal with this is quite simple. We walk into the Manor and just say his name!", explained Hermione.

"Yes Hermione, but that will only work for the gardens. We can pass through the muggle replling wards, but we can't enter the Manor uninvited and we need to be inside the wards when we trigger the Taboo!", commented Harry.

"But we are going to get invited, and it's going to be very easy.", Hermione now had a touch of ferocity in her expression, "We are going to walk up that path, and knock on the door."

"That, that, that is…", stammered Harry, "That's brilliant! Of course we will make our presence known, but they won't expect us to be accompanied by 40 armed muggles, so we still keep the element of surprise!"

"Let's slow down a bit.", father Paul interjected, "Let's not forget that this is a rescue operation. Making our presence known before we even enter the Manor is basically inviting them to harm the prisoners or use them as hostages."

"I'm not sure.", said Hermione, "You are underestimating the legend of Harry Potter. The Death Eaters have been told for the past seventeen years that Potter is this legendary wizard that defeated their master once as a child.". She looked at Harry trying to apologize for bringing his fame up. "Or they have been taught he is an average, conceited, brat that believes far too high about his, in lack of a better word, half-blood self. Both would believe Harry Potter was brave enough to try and attack the manor, especially if he was coming to rescue his friends."

"All right then.", said father Paul after a brief silent period. "We attack the manor in two days. Piotr will be leading the attack.". He raised his hand to stop the incoming protest. "That is our way. The commander that agrees the least with the mission leads it. This has ensured us secrecy and safety for hundreds of years. Now go and rest, it was a long day behind us, and longer still are ahead."
