Another Chapter o/

Some drug use in this chapter, you were warned.

"Gary, I need your help. Meet me at the tower near the Amanaki village." Jason frowned hard. It was the voice of that damn girl again. And her voice from the phone scared the deers he was hunting. Fuck. But he was going anyway. He just wasn't the type to ignore a call for help from a woman. He picked up his weapons and began his little trip. At least he wasn't that far from her. First he headed to the road, and as soon as he got there an enemy vehicle appeared. With some bullets he managed to kill all three of them, claiming the red jeep for himself.

He then started driving in the direction he was supposed to go. Until he saw a goat by the river, at his right. The goat was minding its own business, grazing and making noises a normal goat would do. Even shitting a little. Suddenly there was no more goat, just a lot of movement in the river. I think I saw a crocodile. Jason almost lost the control of his car. Well... Not almost. He crushed into a tree. But the motor still worked, so he just pulled back a little and went to the road again.

Meanwhile at the tower.

"Shit..." The girl was looking at her wound while siting on the dirty floor. Until she heard something moving behind her. She was out of ammo. Just saying. When she turned, she saw Dennis. She stared at his tattoos. He had his handgun out, aiming at the unknown girl. "Who are you?" He was pretty cautious. "Someone obviously. And is it honorable for a warrior to threaten an injured girl? Do ya feel proud of it?" Shit she was good. Dennis stayed still for a while before sighing and holstering his weapon. "I'm sorry. I just never saw you before. And with the things going on the island I can't help but be jumpy. What is your name anyway?" He apologized with some humor. Clearly flattered by being called a warrior. "I understand, don't worry." She smiled a bit. "My name is Kali. What's yours?" All the while her hand was firmly pressed at her leg wound.

"Dennis. Nice to meet you." He smiled a bit. But frowned when she twitched a little in pain. "What happened to your leg?" He approached and knelt at her side. This made her tense. She really didn't like people too close to her. Trauma and shit you know? "I was running from those psychopaths ya see? And to keep me from running, they shot my leg. Still don't know how I managed to escape though...Guess I was very lucky."

"Lucky indeed. That wound seems pretty bad." He got even closer. She was getting more and more tense. Her right hand making its way to her knife slowly. Gripping the handle quietly as Dennis tried to analyze the wound more closely. Almost completely unsheathed the combat knife when Jason arrived. 'Boring...'
"Dennis? What are you doing here?" Jason was clearly confused. "Hello Jason. I was just checking the tower when I found her. Do you know her?" Kali just sat there, looking into nothing particular. Thinking things over. Life and stuff.

"Kinda of... What happened?" He asked nodding to her leg. "Oh ya know... Pirates and bullets and shit... The usual stuff. Do ya have any bandages? Or at least something to get the bullet out? It is a nuisance, really." She gave a weak smirk, frowning in pain afterward. "Fuck."

"I will bring you a first aid kit. Stay here." It was Dennis who spoke and left. Kali just made a confused face. "If I could fucking move I wouldn't be here ya know..." She frowned a little bit annoyed. Jason smirked. She noticed. "So... Do you have a name or something?"

"Kali. Ya can call me Kali. Just don't go shouting that name around ok? Some bad people want my head. Sure ya understand." She winked after saying her name. "That's an unusual name for an european." He stated. She grinned. "Ya don't know the half of it..."

Jason was about to make another question when she interrupted him. "Nice tattoo ya have over there. Where did ya get it?"

"After Dennis rescued me, I woke up with it." He said absent-mindedly, looking at the tattoo he never really paid attention to. Kali tilted her head to the side confused. "Wait. So Dennis tattooed ya when ya were sleeping with no permission whatsoever from ya? Like, 'Oh look! Someone unconscious needing help! I must rescue him and mark him with these symbols ASAP! :D' Like that?" Jason shifted his feet suddenly uncomfortable. "Now that you mention it like that..." Awkward.

"Yeaaah... I will never pass out near that guy." She stated. As if by clue, Dennis arrived with the medical supplies. "I brought what I could, but it would b- Why are you guys looking at me like that?" He looked pretty confused. "No reason..." Because that was just so fucking normal.

"Wolf... Wolf... Where did I heard that name before?" Vaas asked himself while passing around his chambers looking at the floor. "Fuck. I can't remember this shit. Goddammit!" He suddenly looked pissed and threw a knife at Citra's picture that he had stuck in the wall with another knife. He started panting all of sudden. Sweat forming in his forehead, tracing down his scar. The scar he got in the same day she...

He punched the wall with enough strength to make his knife fall down again, into a necklace he kept on top of a drawer. The necklace was handcrafted and contained sharp feline claws, in a total of three. Just by looking at it Vaas felt something inside of him, an emotion that was hard to come by in these last years. Happiness.

It was hard for him to feel anything but anger and loneliness. But every time he looked at the necklace...

The memories the object brought him. Happiness made its way towards him sometimes. But only by remembering his younger years.

Right now Vaas was preparing an injection of heroin. Anything to forget his worries. Even if just for some minutes, sometimes only seconds. Didn't matter to him. Never did. But this time.

He looked at the drug on his hand. And for the first time in a long time he thought twice before preparing the hit. She would never want him to use these things.

The syringe flew across the room. Breaking after entering in contact with another wall. Vaas collapsed in his knees, hands on his head. Eyes shut hard with his jaw tensed. Anger overcoming him once again...

This was pretty depressing.

By now, Kali was already fixed. No more bullet in her flesh and only a very clean and taken care off wound at her leg. She was analyzing her leg while touching the wound lightly with her hand. Jason just sat there awkwardly looking at his tattoo and then at Dennis as he cleaned the materials he just used. "So Kali, do you plan staying at the village for some time now?" He asked while cleaning the rest of the blood from the materials.

"Guess I have no choice for now. Nice village though." She said looking through the window. Jason was still feeling awkward. "Yeah, a nice village indeed." He was looking outside too now, probably remembering good things. Like the goat festival.

"I-I will get going then." Jason said awkwardly.

"K. Thanks for the help." She made a little gesture with her hand while smiling lightly. Gary was such a virgin sometimes.
