Sorry that this one is so short, but I really struggled with writing the Hulk - it's very difficult - and there's not a great deal for me to work with because I've only seen the Hulk movie once, a very long time ago xx It's hard to get into that perspective :( x Sorry for the wait, I've been busy with Christmas and school, as well as working on In Remembrance x This is for hypersreak, I hope you like it x Please continue to read and review xx :)

Hulk's always known that there's something different about the Metal Man - Iron Man the Blue and Red man calls him. Hulk's never tried listening with others before - he's normally too busy trying to smash them, or they're trying to hurt him - but the other one, Bruce, tells him that he needs to make this work, that if he listens to them they'll let him smash but only where they let him. At first he wanted to smash them as well but Bruce tells him he can't and stops him in one of the rare moments that the world isn't all green.

He doesn't like all of them not even if Bruce tells him he's supposed to, but Iron Man treats him like everyone else even when he smells the fear coming from the others. The Metal Man actually likes him and his smiles aren't lies, not like the One Eyed man or the Spider.

Iron Man is different, like him. He can smell it, like he can smell the fact that the Spider and the Hawk love each other very much and that Blue and Red man doesn't like Tony. Sometimes that upsets Hulk because he likes Tony a lot but Bruce, the other part of him that insists on that silly name, says that smashing him wouldn't be good and stops him.

Most of the time though it is fine. Blue and Red man lets him smash most of the time, but he's only allowed to smash where he's pointed to or else they get angry.

He can smell when they're angry or scared, though he doesn't understand the difference Bruce insists on, and when they're happy.

Right now they're not happy. Spider and Hawk smell wrong and Blue and Red man smells sad and Iron Man smells angry and only Blond God smells like normal.

He doesn't get it though when his team - family, pack - starts to treat Iron Man differently. He doesn't know why.

Bruce shows him the memories, of a white room that is too clean and that he feels a great desire to smash, of a large cat that smells like Iron Man, of the faces of his pack (fear, anger, terror, hate) and he feels a burning desire to smash them into the floor like the Puny God.

Stupid.

Couldn't they already saw that Metal Man was special? Were the others really that stupid?

Still, Bruce had showed him lots of other memories before in an attempt to stop the smashing. He'd never paid much attention before, smashing was much more fun, but he still remembered something that Bruce had shown him once about furry things.

It had worried the rest of the team when Hulk plucked Tony out of the air after a battle and he could feel Bruce's panic in his head before he batted it away.

Tony just laughed and tried to squirm away, even as he couldn't stop himself from relaxing into the touch.

Hulk was petting him.

(How the video ended up on YouTube, Tony didn't know, but he liked it and personally organised the deletion of any derogatory comments that were posted.)

(Bruce couldn't believe his eyes when he watched it after he turned back. Evidently neither could the 17 million viewers.)
