"Johan!" Judai yelled as he caught a glimpse of the teal-haired duelist in sight, he had wondered where he had gone, partly because the dual-haired teen always held some curiosity as to where the bluenette usually was, but also for a while Judai had begun to want to constantly be around Johan, yes, he had discovered he had feelings for him, and since there wasn't any other soul around excluding Johan the brunette thought that maybe it could be a good time to get his feelings out in the open, after all, the emotions he had for the gem duelist had been in his heart for quite a long time.

"Aha, hi Judai" Johan spoke as he pivoted on his heel in order to face his best friend. Judai tried to be calm and act no different than usual, he just had no idea what to do in this situation since he had never confessed feelings to anyone.

'Why do I feel so nervous? It's just a simple thing to say, this is totally unlike me…'

"Are you okay there, Judai, you seem to be spacing out a bit?" Judai jumped at the sudden voice and looked straight to Johan.

"Uh, yeah, I'm fine, but Johan, I kinda have something to say to you." The green eyed boy stared at the teen in front of him, using all of his attention, surely if Judai was like this about the whole thing it must be pretty important.

"Sure, what's up?" Johan ushered Judai to carry on. Judai clenched his fists and looked straight into Johan's eyes, shining brown orbs locking onto emerald green. Judai took a deep breath before he spoke.

"You see, Johan, I l-like you, in a more-than-a-friend way." There was a moment of silence where Judai closed his eyes. He could feel his stomach drop.

Johan didn't know what to expect, but it wasn't this, sure he had been friends with Judai for a while now but that's all that Judai was, a friend. He never even thought about anything more.

"Well, Judai, I'm flattered but I, er, I just don't like you in that way…" Johan spoke, averting his gaze from the slifer.

"Uh… I see." Judai responded, awkwardly rubbing the back of his head, he was trying to keep steady but he rather felt sick inside. "Heh, they are just emotions, It's not like they'll be around for long!" Judai flashed a grin, albeit a slightly faltered one, he had to just act okay because he wouldn't want to jeopardize the friendship they already shared, that would be the worst case scenario.

"Judai, I'm sorry, are you going to be okay?" Johan asked, concern painted on his face.

"Yeah, of course I am! Don't worry!" Judai reassured. "I'll be off I uh, need to go restructure some combos in my deck." The slifer hurried back to his dorm before Johan could even utter a word. No matter how much reassurance Judai gave him, he knew the teen was hurt, but what could he do? He can't help not returning the feelings. Johan sighed and shook his head

'I never expected me to be the one who is responsible for unrequited teenage love.'
