All I have to say is WOW! Thank you guys so much for the wonderful feedback and response to 'We Both Know'! I have been struggling getting back into the swing of things and this has really been the boost I needed. Thank you so much!
My original intention back when I first thought of 'We Both Know' was it to be more of a songfic but I'll just add them as I see fit! On with the story!

Disclaimer: As much as I'd love to, I do not own Inuyasha or any of the characters in it. Only the ones I've created.
"So let me get this straight….you travel to Feudal Japan through a well where youkai like Inuyasha and Sesshomaru reside," Aurora questioned Kagome and Inuyasha, "and you're trying to collect shards of a powerful jewel before another youkai named Naraku can."
They were all gathered in her small living room eating the large pizza she ordered. Inuyasha was happily eating his fifth slice next to Kagome on the beige love seat while Sesshomaru sat stiffly in the matching single couch chair. He had yet to eat anything for the last several days and everything she had offered to get or make him he had declined.
"Do not compare this daiyoukai with trash such as Inuyasha and Naraku." Sesshomaru practically snarled in disgust before Kagome could reply.
"Daiyoukai?" Aurora questioned from her spot on the floor.
"A daiyoukai is a higher ranking youkai lord who is much stronger." Kagome clarified, "Inuyasha is what they call a hanyou which means 'half demon'. Naraku is….complicated."
"But I thought you two were brothers?"
"We're half-brothers," said Inuyasha with his mouth full of pizza, "Same father, different mothers."
"And half because your mother was a human I'm guessing?" she asked unsure.
Sesshomaru scoffed, "A filthy human."
"Look who's talking Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha spat out at him, "Now shut the fuck up and eat already! I can hear your damn stomach growl."
Aurora could feel Sesshomaru's anger radiate off of him as he glared at his half-brother who had gotten up for his sixth slice. Kagome tried to suppress her giggles with little success.
"Interesting," Aurora avoided eye contact with Sesshomaru to watch Kagome who was trying to contain her amusement. "So how does a daiyoukai get turned into a 'filthy' human and wind up in modern Japan?"
"Let the bastard figure that out. We have more important things to deal with than how he turned himself human." Inuyasha sneered at Sesshomaru, "You deserve this."
Without saying a word Sesshomaru stood with a nasty look at them all and walked into Aurora's bedroom, his long raven hair billowing behind him. Aurora flinched when she heard the door slam.
Kagome watched her friend as they stared at the closed door, "We could see if he could pass through the well with us tomorrow."
"And if he can't go with you?"
There was silence as Kagome looked at her sheepishly. It was very obvious that Kagome did not feel comfortable having Sesshomaru stay at the shrine with her family. Aurora could accept that for the time being but it just needed to be said.
She pinched the bridge of her nose as her head began to pound, "I think we should just call it a night guys. We will worry about that after we find out if the well will work for him or not. Let's just get through tonight and school in the morning then go from there."
Kagome gasped, "Oh man I've barely done any homework!"
"You don't need that stuff anyway! Unless it helps us find jewel shards faster," argued Inuyasha, "I say forget the bastard and let's go."
Inuyasha and Kagome began to shout at each other over nonsense Aurora was unsure she wanted to know about. She still had to deal with the angry daiyoukai in her room and the increasingly loud arguing was not helping. She could feel the toll the last few days were taking on her body and she was getting irritated.
"Not to be rude but I really need a good night's rest and could care less at this point where he stays. We have exams soon and I'm already behind to begin with," She signed at that statement, "I still need to finish my homework too."
"Inuyasha can stay here tonight and tomorrow with Sesshomaru while we go to school. Then we can check the well to see if he can pass through."
"That's ok, you two go home and I'll watch him." Aurora was nervous about being alone again with Sesshomaru but she also didn't want the two brothers fighting during the night either. "You can take my homework if you'd like and use the notes. I'll finish the rest in the morning; I'd like to get some sleep if I can."
Inuyasha watched Aurora closely as she handed Kagome her 'homework' and discussed meeting up at the shrine to walk to school together. He could sense her uneasiness throughout the night and the poor girl looked exhausted on top of it all. She seemed to be holding herself together well enough but the purple bruising around her neck greatly bothered him.
"Hey," Inuyasha said calmly next to her, her large green eyes turning towards him, "Don't let him get to you, especially about being a human."
She blinked a few times at him, his words sinking in slowly, "Thanks."
"Let's go Kagome," he had turned on his heel and walked out the apartment. Kagome was so touched by his advice to her friend that she did not even realize he had left until he heard a loud "KAGOME!" that snapped her back to reality.
"I'll see you in the morning," Kagome hugged her tightly, "Don't hesitate to call me if there's any trouble and Inuyasha can be here in seconds."
"Thank you Kagome but I'm sure one more night will not be that big of a deal." Aurora said for reassurance. Kagome gave her one last look before exited out the door where Inuyasha was waiting.
As the door came to a close Aurora let out the breath she was holding and slumped into her love seat. Cane jumped up next to her as tears began to fall from her tightly shut eyes. "Just one more night…." Aurora tried to tell herself.
…
Sesshomaru stared at the white ceiling as he lay in the human girl's soft bed. He searched through every inch of his brain to try and find a memory that could lead to why and how he had been reduced to a simple human. The last moment he could recall was telling the kappa Jaken to watch over his ward Rin while he went for a hunt. After taking off into the nearby forest the rest of the world seemed to go dark. There was nothing but the nagging feeling that his situation had something to do with the dream he had of his last moments with his father, the great Inu no Taisho.
'Have you someone to protect?' His father's question flooded through his mind as if he was there beside him.
He felt anger bubble inside of him at the thought of his father. Inu no Taisho was a human loving fool who betrayed him and his mother for a human hime and met his demise because of her and Inuyasha. It was the old mans fault he died protecting the two inferior creatures instead of watching over the Western Lands with him and his mother, his mate. The anger seemed to burn hotter within him as his thoughts went to his mother.
Sesshomaru took in a deep breath as he tried to settle the burning emotion within himself. He had never experienced such a quick change in emotions before. He was always one to keep his emotions in order but this change in his very being was causing that control to slip quickly. He lifted his hands above him and still could not comprehend that fact that they were his human hands. Anger began to bubble back up again as he continued to inspect his hands as he balled them tightly into fists. He heard the heavy wood door open.
"Sesshomaru?" He heard the strange human ask softly. He chose not to reply and he laid his hands back on the bed beside him. "I know you said you weren't hungry but I brought you some water and made some ramen for you. If you don't eat it I understand but you should at least have some water."
He continued to not answer but moved his gaze so that he could watch her move about the room. She set a large steaming bowl down on the desk along with a large container of water with a cup next to it. Her round green eyes focused on him as she moved a few things to make more room for the items. His eyes moved to her purple neck that she attempted to cover with her blood colored waves. There was an odd tightening of his stomach that he has a feeling was not due to his current hunger.
"You are welcome to spend the rest of the night in here; there are plenty of books if you get bored." She cautiously got closer to the small table next to the bed, her eyes never leaving his as she reached for a large metal object on top of the table. There was a click and light shined from the inside of it. "When you're ready to go to sleep just press this black button on the side of the lamp and it'll turn off the light. Ok?"
Sesshomaru watched her hold her breath waiting for a response from him. She released that breath when he gave her a slight nod of his head. "Ok then. I'm going to go to school in the morning and will leave breakfast out for you in case you wish to sleep in. After being sick and suffering a head wound it would be good to rest some more."
"I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself Human." He finally decided to respond in an icy tone.
There was a pause. He watched as the corner of her mouth twitched at his words. "I may not understand what it is like to be a daiyoukai but when you are a human and get hurt and sick you need to rest." She said firmly. "And my name is Aurora, not Human." There was a slight spark of courage in her eyes that did not go unnoticed.
"That is what you are Human." Sesshomaru smirked as she began to move about the room collecting various items and clothes. He knew he should put the girl in her place for correcting a great daiyoukai like him but he found her brazenness rather amusing. Damned his human emotions were pure fleeting nonsense.
"As are you Human," she said with her back to him after a moment of silence, her tone holding a slight pang of annoyance, "If you will not give me the respect of calling me by my name then I will do the same. And seeing as you are a human as well that is what I shall call you."
"Do you have a death wish," asked Sesshomaru as he sat up to look at her fully. She turned to look at him with pure shock in her emerald eyes. His smirk widened as he watched her begin to visibly shake. He turned his long body so that he was completely facing her, his now brown eyes gazing into her own. He waited for her to make her next move.
The girl straightened herself in front of him after he just continued to stare at her. Her form still shook before him but she had decided to hold her ground. "I am going to get ready for bed now. The restroom is to the left of this bedroom, you can do your business in there when I am finished with my shower. Goodnight."
Without another word she had turned and walked straight for the door. He felt his smirk widen, "Until morning Aurora."
She nearly tripped through the doorway.
