Thank you for all the reviews and sorry it took so long to update but here is the next chapter. Okay so this chapter is going to tie in some parts that seemed to have no meaning in the chapter that they were is, but now I am going to expand upon them. As a result I took some exerts out of the chapter that the part was in and put it in this chapter, so you guys, my readers, know what is happening. There are multiple parts, so please hang with me and enjoy. I really hope you like it.
On The Rise
Chapter 14
Third Person
Previously
Leroy looked into the back of the van he was driving to see a two year old little girl tied up and moving around in the back of the van. Leroy did want to be doing this but he was too afraid of Hiram to not to. He could hear crying from the back of the van. Leroy knew that if he stopped now he would let her go and Leroy couldn't do that otherwise Hiram would kill him. He continued to drive despite the crying and pleas to be let go. Leroy didn't even know how Hiram found out about the little. Leroy knew something bad had happened to the girl's mother but he never knew that it resulted to her becoming pregnant and having a kid.
Now (the morning after Rachel ran away)
Brittany and Santana were still looking for Rachel. They had yet to find her and Brittany was becoming more anxious by the minute. Brittany was checking her phone every few minutes to see if Rachel texted her and nearly let out a cry of relief when her phone finally did light up telling her she had a text message, but when she read it she wished she hadn't opened it in the first place.
Hello Brittany,
You have two days to come to 6432 w 62 Qt. Lima, Ohio. If you do not show up your precious little girl will pay the price, and if I suspect that you have told anyone about this message she will die. The choice is yours.
Hiram
P.S. Remember I am always watching you even if you don't see me. I know everything!
Brittany was frozen in terror. She didn't understand how he found out about her daughter. On one knew about her except for her mom and dad. Her mom of course showed no concern for her and her baby, but her dad helped her find the perfect family for her little girl. She knew that trying to raise her baby while living with her mom was the worst possible idea and that is why she gave her daughter to her dad's sister. Her aunt and her uncle were kind enough to take care of her, and they also promised to make sure her little girl knew who she was so if she ever wanted her back she could get her back.
Brittany was so lost in her thoughts she didn't hear Santana calling her name until she was practically shaking her to try and gain her attention. "Are you okay?" Santana finally asked her once she had her attention.
"I'm okay," Britany responded sharply. All she wanted to do was keep her daughter safe and now she was missing. She couldn't believe that this happened and that her father, aunt, or uncle hadn't mentioned anything to her about it. Someone should have told her that her daughter was missing she had a right to know. She deserved to know especially as the little girl knew that she was her mom.
Flashback
Brittany was lying in a hospital waiting to see her precious baby girl. Everything was so messed up and she had no one to turn too. She was hiding from all of her friends, Rachel, Santana, Quinn, because she was so afraid of what they were going to think of her. She felt so ashamed of herself and disgusted. Brittany was broken out of her thoughts by the sound of footsteps approaching her room. She saw her dad come into view with her little bundle of joy wrapped in a pink blanket.
"She's gorgeous," Jim told her daughter.
"Can I hold her," Brittany questioned nervously.
Jim whispered a quiet "of course," while moving towards Brittany. He passed the sleeping newborn into his mother's awaiting arms "Be careful" he told his daughter, "and don't forget to support her head and neck."
"Okay daddy," Brittany said as she lovingly gazed at her daughter. "She's beautiful daddy!"
End Flashback
Two days later Brittany was forced to give her beautiful daughter away and has only seen her a handful of times since them. She would do anything to protect her little girl, even if it meant going to Hiram. She would not let that awful man hurt her daughter, she would risk her life for her daughter and for Rachel and Santana. Other than her father those are the three people that Brittany would love with all her heart. The only dilemma Brittany had was how she was going to sneak away from the Lopez's house without someone finding out what was going on.

When Rachel woke up she immediately realized that she was no longer at the park and began to panic. She quickly sat up her head spinning as she did so, and causing the blankets that she just realized she was covered in to fall over. She look around her taking in all of her surroundings and soon realized that she wasn't alone. She could make out a figure in the corner from the small light that was emanating from the fire. Rachel soon realized that the figure was none other than Quinn and fell into a further panic.
"Hi Rachel," Quinn meekly said.
Now
"What am I doing here?" Rachel immediately questioned the blond. The panic was obvious in the tone of Rachel's voice.
"I found you in the park," Quinn explained. "You were extremely pale and cold so I brought you here where you could be kept warm and safe your dad is still out there afterall."
"Why did you bring me here and not to your house?" Rachel questioned. "Why are you being so nice to me?" she added as an afterthought. Rachel looked past the slip Quinn made about her dad to go back to later because Quinn seemed to know more than what the students were originally told.
"I couldn't bring you home, and never really hate you, sure I didn't always like you and still don't sometimes, but I wasn't going to let you die or get hurt," Quinn explained. The confused look on Rachel's face made her explain further. "My dad does not like you and he would have thrown a fit had I brought you home. My home life isn't perfect and I couldn't bring you to that I was afraid he may have hurt you." Rachel gave a Quinn a confused look as she tried to process what was being told. "My father isn't a good man Rachel and my mother and I are too afraid to do anything about it."
Rachel couldn't believe what she was hearing, the perfect Quinn Fabray didn't have the perfect life that everyone believed her to have. Of course Rachel didn't know the extent of what was happening in the Fabray household, but if she was afraid of her father it must be pretty bad. Rachel couldn't vivid picture what Quinn's father looked like considering he has never seen him or if she has she wasn't introduced to him.
"So what do we do now?" Rachel questioned out loud to herself not expecting a response.
"Now I take you home," Quinn responded. "Shelby, Santana, and Brittany must be worried sick considering you have been gone all night."
"Okay," Rachel quietly responded. She knew she made a rash decision running away the previous night and really wanted to go home, but she was afraid of the consequences that she would be facing. "Home," Rachel quietly sighed to herself, and she was going home because Shelby and Beth were her family no matter how angry she was at them at times and where ever her family was would be where her home was.
The two girls quickly left the cave and began making their way towards Quinn's car. The ride back to Shelby's house was quiet neither girl wanting to talk about what was going on in their lives. As the pulled up to the house Rachel let out a sigh.
Time to face the music," She stated more to herself than anyone else.
"It's going to be okay Rachel," Quinn told her. "Shelby loves you. Sure you may get in trouble but it would only be out of love and worry."
"Thank you Quinn," Rachel sincerely told the blonde and she got out of the car and closing the door before slowly making her way towards her house.
Quinn took one last look at the girl she just protected from her father and left not noticing the black car that was sitting a couple houses down from the Corcoran household because she was too worried about what waited for her at home.
So it has been a super long time since I update this story and I am so sorry about that. I had a huge writers block as to where I wanted to go with this chapter and then I just became so busy with work and school that I didn't have time. I wanted to update this story Friday but I couldn't get around to it. So, just to clarify a few things that may confuse people when Quinn decided to give up Beth she moved back into her house and later her father moved back into the house, so Quinn once again lives with both of her parents. Also for anyone who noticed that Santana and Brittany's mom are both named Maria, I will make sure that it is obvious who is talking whether it is Brittany's mom or Santana's mom. Hope you like it and please review and tell me what you think.
