16: Friends

"Who the hell are you?!" Enraged amber orbs glared to me and I blinked in confusion before dodging a bag thrown at me.

"Ah!" I shouted up before Zoro slid into the room with a growl at the newcomer and the sound of his blade beginning to become unsheathed caused a ruckus.

"Don't you throw anything at him, you son'uva bitch!" The words caused another set of feet to move and suddenly I heard a groan.

"Luffy-ya, are you alright?" Law helped me up onto my feet as I was preparing for my leave with Zoro to meet the others at the bottom of the trail from this home.

"Y-yeah."

"What the fucking hell is going on?!"

"If you do not calm down Eustass then I will kill you where you stand." The doctor proclaimed and got an irritated scowl back from this new person.

"I leave for a week and come back to some kind of damn hussy!"

"Hardly believable, Eustass. If you looked closely to see his bandages you would realize that he is a patient." What he said was true since I have yet put on my coat and the sight of bandages clinging to part of my chest and arm were visible. Arms soon went around my waist as I heard an aggressive growl and knew who it was. "Plus, you are lucky that I did not let Swordsman-ya slice you up for throwing something at his lover."

Amber eyes stared to us for a few seconds before huffing out with arms crossing. "Whatever, how else do you expect me to act when a young male is standing in my living room?" I noticed a small smile tug onto Law's face as I noticed what the deal was and let my mouth open.

"You must be Law's lover." Red busted across the doctor's face as he looked to me in skepticism and began sputtering.

"L-Luffy-ya! I told you it wasn't—!"

"No way that morbid bastard actually claimed it out loud!" The man in the doorway stated out with a look of disbelief and soon got a foot kicking him.

"Take off your outerwear!" Law was flustered and kicking at the other for such rude manners. Arms lightened up around me before moving as I soon had a jacket being tugged on me.

"We are leaving anyways." I mentioned as I found a pause in their argument and the man with red hair gazed at me before crossing arms.

"I'm assuming that you are healed enough to leave."

"To the point I allow it," the doctor moved with a huff at his ignored words of getting outwear off. "And only because they have a doctor in their group so if anything happened I can trust their doctor will take care of him. Not only that, I'm sure Swordsman-ya would have no problem carrying him if need be." The door was closed with a small grumble about it being left open from the man.

"Oh, well that's good." The redhead nodded in agreement before shifting to kick off boots and soon caught Law around the shoulders. "I'm home." Lips pressed to a temple causing a fuss to leave the one receiving the treatment before he was released. "I'm going to go take a nap." The man left into the bedroom with his coat finding the hook next to the doorway. A sigh left Law as he tried to clear his embarrassed atmosphere, but I only smiled when he looked over.

"We should get going, the others are waiting."

"Okay! Thanks for taking care of me, Law!" I told the doctor with a bow towards him and he snorted out.

"At least you have manners." A growl left my companion and I began pushing him out with a grin.

"Sorry for the misunderstanding, Useless!"

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Law was howling with laughter as we exited and was holding back the redhead with a shaking body since he could not control it. The door was closed and you could still hear the laughter and angered words.

"Huh, you are pretty bad at remembering names." Zoro mentioned as we made our way down the path with Bepo leading without us saying anything to him.

"What? That's his name, right?" A snort left my lover as a hand started patting my head and I showed a pout.

"Doesn't matter now." A wine left me as I complained about what was so funny. We played around a little with nudges and words being said.

"O~I!" I look ahead and seen Usopp wave wildly as the others turned with huge, relieved smiles on their faces. A feeling of joy bubbled up in me and I was just so happy to finally be back with everyone. I moved forward, almost leaping through the snow to be caught by Sanji and everyone else joined to hug around me.

"Luffy!" My name was heard along with, "we are so glad you are alright!" "So glad you are back!" "Marimo has been cranky with you gone!" All the things said to me made me so happy that even though we started out as just a simple invite it turned into so much friendship. I couldn't ask for any other people to be with Zoro and me so we can all be free and happy!

"We have to get going!" I called out as I was set carefully on the ground by Sanji and he kept an arm secured around my waist so I didn't fall, maybe a little worried?

"Hands off, shitty cook!" Zoro swatted the arm away with a growl and the two began to argue. My eyes caught the glimpse of white fur and I began patting the head of the polar bear as he had approached.

"Thanks so much, Bepo!" A grin was on me as he let out a noise and turned to leave. "Bye~!" I called out before beginning to move forward. "Onward! Onward!"

"Ah, don't strain yourself!"

"Will you two knock it off?!"

"Nami's scary~!"

"Oh my, you all are an interesting group!"

"Finally! Warm sunshine~!" Nami cried out in happiness as we made it to the bottom and it was actually a bit warmer.

"I'm glad we all made it here." Vivi spoke out with a smile as we stood before the cabin that housed the travel guides. The door opened and this guy in a leather animal skin jacket came out with dirty blonde hair. A scar was over the corner of his left eye and this grin beamed on him when he looked to our guide.

"Vivi! Welcome back!" The woman beamed as she turned with a smile and a foot popped up as it swayed.

"Kohza!" The man bound down the steps, stopping his blue scarf from hitting his face. Arms wrapped around her to pick her up and began spinning her and they laughed. "I'm home."

"I could swirl one of you maidens like that!" Sanji offered and a cheer came from me before I was pulled to a body and a sword was out.

"Don't think about it." The growl made me whine as I reached up to pat a cheek.

"Meanie!" The word left me as he sheathed his sword and let fingers tug a cheek.

"Even if I had allowed it, you are too injured for that." A noise left the new guy as we noticed him signaling at his words.

"Injured? There was trouble?" Worry lined his voice as he examined Vivi with twists to her body and she waved a hand out.

"Some bandits in the woodlands, I think a few are still there." Kohza nodded at the words and adjusted his scarf whilst looking to the mountain.

"My team will go in the morning."

"Here is the other half of the payment like promised." Nami spoke up towards Vivi and the guide began pushing it back.

"No, I can't take your coin. Someone of the party got injured and that meant I don't deserve the other half." Nami grasped her pale hand as she slapped the pouch into her hand.

"It's okay. You fought great up there and saved my skin. This is how you guys live and I'm very understanding that danger is everywhere. Also you now know an emergency doctor is up there." Our redheaded friend spoke out which had Vivi tearing up with nods.

"Someone lives up there?!" Kohza seemed surprised.

"Oh yeah! Don't go hurting Bepo!" I spoke out with a finger wagging out to the guy.

"Bepo?"

"He's this cool polar bear!" I spoke out in enthusiasm and this shocked face was on him.

"Bepo, the only polar bear up there, saved Luffy." Vivi explained and the guy nodded somewhat before shaking his head.

"I'm glad you all are safe. I hope the rest is not as rough as this was."

"Thanks!"

"I doubt it." Nami grumbled after my cheer and I began going ahead with Zoro soon following.

"Let's go! Let's go!" Hollers to wait up followed with Chopper and Usopp soon joining my slow jog with laughter. It was like birds resting and soon taking off again because we needed to reach our home.

Our journey still has a ways to go!
